Character mistake: Playing as Joe Higashi, one of the preliminary cutscenes with Geese has him say "I wonder if Joe is Hurricane upper cut Joe." "Uppercut" is one word, not two.

Other mistake: The intro crawl of the SNES version contains various flubs; it calls the tournament "The King of the Fighters", when it's simply "The King of Fighters", "Southtown City" when it should be "South Town", and the final sentence "Only through deadly combat can you be crowned the King of the Fighters..." is just odd.

Revealing mistake: After his car is destroyed, one of the two people who were chasing Magnum emerges from the wreckage and hikes to the very same spot Magnum was in.The road though cleaned itself; no more tracks in the dirt nor the skidmarks from Magnum's abrupt maneuver. (00:36:50)

Continuity mistake: When the drunk Alice Cook hugs Magnum at the airport, behind her, slightly out of focus, there's a man in a grey suit with a yellow shirt passing by. She staggers back, and a couple is passing; he wears a brown suit with a light blue shirt. The couple passes by again, same direction and origin point, when she has a giggling fit at "Are you my boyfriend?", and the man with yellow shirt follows just a second after. (00:20:20)

Revealing mistake: Torrance Beck and his men load Rockford on the car to dispose of him. They get ambushed, with 2 cars suddenly turning 90° blocking the road. Unexpected? Perhaps, but look at the asphalt; apparently it's a regular thing in that part of the road. There are already skidmarks reproducing the exact same movement. (00:33:30)

Continuity mistake: After the fiasco at the gambling table, Rockford goes back to his motel. He parks his car pretty badly, oblique with the front wheel very far from the parking line. Continuity mistake: Rockford rear-ends an unsuspecting fella that is paying the parking. He moves the car in the wide shot (he has to, the whole point is that he's pushing the car out of the way and bypassing the bars), but in the close-ups of the guy the car hasn't budged an inch. (00:05:40)

Continuity mistake: Rockford speeds up to shake off the guy that is following him. They both take a sharp turn, but the pursuer almost collides with another car. Next time Rockford's car is shown after that, the driver is wearing just a red shirt, not Rockford's houndstooth jacket. (00:05:30)
