Reika Hayami and the Uninvited Guest - S1-E5

Stupidity: A rather unnecessary part of the plot focuses on the convict trying to learn Reika's last name by ordering something on her behalf to read the name on the bill. That's absurd; he couldn't possibly know if the bill would just have the number of the cabin on it instead, or the production company's, and quite frankly for such a VIP (the cruise itself was a one-evening trip around the bay just so fans could spend time with their idol Reika, and he knew that) the ship wouldn't even charge anything for a drink brought to her room.

Reika Hayami and the Uninvited Guest - S1-E5

Continuity mistake: When Reika asks everyone who got the first two questions right to stand, the imposter's cup and Kindaichi's are different from just a moment before; Kindaichi's is suddenly empty and both cups are turned (the guy's cup and plate switched side too). (00:10:20)

Reika Hayami and the Uninvited Guest - S1-E5

Continuity mistake: The bad guy digs his fork and knife into the juicy steak, and we get a close-up of that. When he forces out a laughter at Kindaichi's statement a couple of shots later, we see the plate changed; the veggies swapped position and the cut does not match. (00:05:30)

Other mistake: In multiple instances (for instance when they go look for him outside) Father Parker is incorrectly lacking any capitalization ("father parker").

Jet Robot (1975)

Opera House Murder Case: File 3 - S1-E23

Plot hole: So the culprit checked in at a hotel without any document or... face, left the room right away using an inflatable boat contained in a medium size suitcase (which he left in the room) and with that reached the coast - because the hotel is on an island so remote that it took a relatively long trip by ship for the others to reach it. It's a plan all kinds of ludicrous and impossible - that's also without considering the fact that the hotel was booked by the cast of a Phantom of the Opera play and the staff knows the play, and one person hiding their face completely would be a pretty big coincidence they make nothing of.

Lust Epidemic

Other mistake: In the comics it is always very clear that the clothes Venom and Carnage appear to be wearing are shapes the symbiotes take and not actual clothes. In the movie, Eddie wears his own clothes, and so does Kasady, since we literally see him stealing the flamboyant outfit from some guy, and the clothes stay solid even when the symbiote is incapacitated. In that case, it makes no sense that the clothes at no point get damaged when they get stabbed or even torn open like it often happens in the movie.

Sammo

Stupidity: Throughout the whole movie, wanton murderer Cletus Kasady and Shriek both spend an inordinate amount of time "almost" killing people, since they take forever to deal with them even having them completely at their mercy. Kasady even grabs Anne, tells Venom "You're gonna watch her die" and...leaves, to go eat her on top of the tower where Venom in theory would never see.

Sammo

Stupidity: Kasady and Shriek set free Anne's husband, so he'd phone Eddie telling them about the 'wedding'. But they have as hostage Anne and the detective, and both have Eddie's phone number already. Talk about convoluted. Also, Eddie of course has his own phone and the police never thinks to trace him thanks to that. (01:06:35)

Sammo

Other mistake: Kasady kills Dr. Pazzo hanging/strangling her with one of his tentacles coming from above. When you look at the section Frances was held in though, and considering the moderate speed the tentacles showed in their slithering while on camera, there's no way they could have reached her in time - that without mentioning the fact that Kasady himself appears inside the cell with no explanation - if he was already there by hacking, it does not explain the movement in foreground at the beginning of the scene.

Sammo

Stupidity: Shriek aka Frances Barrison was taken away from the first mental facility when she was a teenager, having grown up there. She then spent the rest of her life, over 20 years, inside what basically was a cubicle of plexiglass. Despite that, the moment she is free she can stick drive like a pro. The way her life was presented, she shouldn't even know how to drive. (00:52:50)

Sammo

Deliberate mistake: When Kasady and his symbiote are fighting for control at the bell tower, they are reflected inside Venom's eyes...who is lying on his back in the middle of the cathedral and is nowhere near and at the totally wrong angle for a reflection like that to happen. (01:15:50)

Sammo

Continuity mistake: When Anne purrs "I love seeing you in action", Mrs Chen lowers her arm, but is still pointing at Dan in the next shot. (01:00:45)

Sammo

Other mistake: Dr. Pazzo (which literally means "Dr. Mad" in Italian, incidentally) turns towards the computer with the voice synthesizer before the phrase is spoken. (00:51:20)

Sammo

Other mistake: In the end credits, Christopher Godwin is credited as "Headmaster (1997). " The scene when he appears had as caption "St. Estes Reform School - California 1996."

Sammo

Continuity mistake: In the beach scene ending, Venom's shadow keep changing between shots appearing inconsistent with the sunset. (01:24:00)

Sammo

Continuity mistake: When the priest begs for his life as Carnage threatens his biological symbiotic dad with "Death to you, father", the hand with the bible is higher in the side shots and lower in the intermediate closer camera angle. (01:08:25)
