The Countess - S1-E4
Audio problem: The Countess' husband looks annoyed at the teenager frolicking in the pool. The sound does not match Sally's mouth. (00:10:30)

The Countess - S1-E4
Continuity mistake: Rockford pours liquor to The Countess in a plastic cup; whoever is doing that in close-up is not wearing a wristwatch, James Garner in the rest of the scene does. (00:07:30)

The Countess - S1-E4
Continuity mistake: In close-up, Rockford's TV set is placed against a plain yellow plaster wall, but the wide view reveals it's in front of a window in his trailer. There's a tape player on top of it too, which was entirely absent in the close-up composite shot. (00:06:50)

The Countess - S1-E4
Other mistake: Rockford films the car driving off, then there are a few seconds of pause, with James Garner not keeping the camera still anymore and tilting it in different directions, before someone unseen bellows at him "What are you doing?" When he reviews the footage with his client in his trailer, the voice arrives instantly and there's no jerking the camera around. (00:06:20)

The Countess - S1-E4
Other mistake: The first view of The Countess from Rockford's camera is at an impossible angle that does not match the position on the terrain (nor the footage we see later). (00:03:30)

The Dark and Bloody Ground - S1-E3
Character mistake: Clyde Russell tells Rockford to meet him at his place in "Ambazac Road in Bel Air." The name of the street in real life is Ambazac Way. (00:38:20)

The Dark and Bloody Ground - S1-E3
Trivia: The bio on the back of the book (unsure when it was supposed to be printed, let's assume that copy is from that same year) says that the author was born 58 years ago. The man we see dead at the beginning of the episode looks several years younger. The picture used at the back of the book is from actor Guy Williams, who was almost 50 at the time.

The Dark and Bloody Ground - S1-E3
Visible crew/equipment: At the race track, Rockford sits down with the two party hosts and Elliot Malcolm. Clyde Russell's sunglasses reflect set lights, and her lenses reflect equipment (and a distinct lack of James Garner) in close-ups. (00:33:45)

The Dark and Bloody Ground - S1-E3
Revealing mistake: Rockford puts the newspaper snippet in front of her client. The poorly constructed prop has the first 2 paragraphs a perfect repeat of each other. (00:28:25)

The Dark and Bloody Ground - S1-E3
Revealing mistake: In another attempt to his life, Rockford has to somehow stop his car when his brakes have been sabotaged. However, at the end of its run the brakes are activated, suddenly locking the back wheels, causing the car to stop, and not the slow-down determined by the dirt mound. (00:25:15)

The Dark and Bloody Ground - S1-E3
Continuity mistake: Jim is back home, and is talking to his dad. Rocky says a firm "No" when Jim says that the guy in the truck was trying to kill him; he points his right index finger as he says the word. Reverse shot, and it's the left index. (00:23:30)

The Dark and Bloody Ground - S1-E3
Revealing mistake: Chased by the truck, Rockford passes a brown Chevy Malibu that was bottling him. At the wheel of the truck there's a stuntman with a 'stache and not the same actor in the close-ups. (00:17:00)

The Dark and Bloody Ground - S1-E3
Continuity mistake: During the chase with the Mack truck, Rockford's car in the POV shots from the car tire is edging the side of the road with a ditch really close, but in the other angles the surroundings don't have such an immediate threat close by. (00:16:10)

The Dark and Bloody Ground - S1-E3
Continuity mistake: At lunch, Jim asks Beth Davenport to find out everything Ann knows about her husband. She is touching her necklace, but at the cut that same hand holds a mug. (00:09:10)

Revealing mistake: When the cars run past the water sprinkler, the curve has been already marked by several tire tracks. (00:44:25)
29th Apr 2020
Continuity mistake: Rockford knocks out of the bad guy with a shovel in the gut. He drops the shovel in the bunker, and the tool a couple seconds later is lying down in a different place without him touching it. (00:45:00)
29th Apr 2020
Revealing mistake: During the car chase in the golf course, Rockford gets ahead of Muzzy Vinette and has to turn the car to block his path. You can see in the grass, in that precise spot, different marks from previous takes of the scene. Obviously not a maneuver golf carts perform, and right there. (00:43:40)
29th Apr 2020
Continuity mistake: Rockford tries the cigarette trick once more but the big guy knocks him down with a punch. He then searches him; his hands are on opposite corners of the wallet in close-up, on different ones in the following shot. (00:38:00)
29th Apr 2020
Continuity mistake: At the drive-in, Rockford in close-up chews into the burger holding it with both hands, but in the previous shot he was using one hand to keep the plate underneath it. In fact, his plate went on the tray outside the car. (00:34:55)

Other mistake: Both Rockford's appointments are at 8 o'clock. He shows up for the one with the mysterious person; gets beaten up, dragged to a warehouse (presumably remote, from what it is shown), beaten up some more to the point of spitting out a tooth, he is then at LAPD, where everyone hates him and definitely does not prioritize his case, he makes Becker search for the warehouse's registration, which needs for him to call in favours, and he turns then up for Tawnia's appointment at 9. With all the stuff that happened, and with the typical LA traffic, it'd already be something to be a mere one hour late without all the rest in the middle of it. Even his wound is kinda healed in that short time.
