Higgins opens the door and before it cuts to the new scene, you can peek through the door and see that the lights are switched off; Higgins is walking into an empty room (would be fun if it were the broom closet, but it's actually the correct photoset, just with nobody there). Character mistake: In the phone call from Nova, there is one branch of the conversation that starts with the protagonist asking "Shouldn't you have used this call to contact a lawyer or something?" But the protagonist IS a lawyer (amongst many other things).

Continuity mistake: When "Wallace McNurty" mentions the "lunchtime drinking" the two workers in front of him are increasingly distant from each other at the cut, and the bearded one has his hands on hips and not down his sides. (00:18:10)

Continuity mistake: For the first episodes (minus the plot), the opening of the series features the Ferrari with two different license plates. The opening shot shows the ROBIN-1 vanity plate that is in every episode but not in the most well known version of the opening (with the iconic Mike Post theme music used in all the other seasons), and the following shows the license plate from the pilot.

Revealing mistake: The construction workers in the bar believe Magnum's bluff about being an inspector, and make a run for it trampling him. Tom Selleck's stuntman is the one taking the risk of having a mob of big guys stomp him - and you can actually spot a fake moustache dangling loose during the action. (00:18:30)

Continuity mistake: When they haul away the poor Rick hit "in the stomach", TC teleports between shots from Lola's right to her left. (00:11:15)

Continuity mistake: During the poker game at the beginning, the positions of Robin and Buzz's cards change a few times - Buzz unveils his winning 4 Ks to the left of the deck, but it is to its right immediately after, and Robin's cards are on or a bit away from the table's border. (00:02:30)

Other mistake: Magnum and Vivian are not listening to the TV at loud volume (they have a quiet time watching and talking without raising their voice), but Higgins, all of a sudden hears it all the way from the main house and is greatly bothered by it.

Audio problem: When Vivian tells Higgins "Will you visit me in England?" as the car takes her to the airport, a stock buzzing sound of an electric window is dubbed in, but look at Jane Merrow's shoulder; she's cranking the handle. Not quite the car for a Duchess. (00:46:10)

Continuity mistake: During the surf ski race, Magnum is wearing sunglasses or not, and his paddle goes from white blades to red blades, back and forth several times. (00:42:15)

Continuity mistake: Magnum asks Higgins "In the meantime, you're just gonna sit there sipping brandy, being terribly British?" Higgins answers "Yes!", cut to Magnum, hands crossed, then cut to Higgins finishing his glass, and then, all of a sudden and with the clock ticking all the way through in continuity, Magnum too is sitting there with a glass of brandy in hand. (00:31:35)

Continuity mistake: When Magnum says "Ah forget it" while TC and Rick are toweling him, there's a racer behind them who hops all happy. Next shot and she's waving the towel she had around her neck. (00:43:40)
