Factual error: If we had to go by the pre-kickoff aerial shot, Shuutetsu is playing with a 2-3-5, which is definitely not a normal soccer formation - and we never see during the actual play anything close to the team having 5 forwards. Continuity mistake: The Shuutetsu players are in front of the gates of the Wakabayashi to get to the match with him. In the wide shot the leftmost ones are in a sunlit area (the rays come through the bars of the gate), but in the closer view they are in the shade. (00:02:05)

Continuity mistake: In the shot from behind when Sanae watches Tsubasa and the others leave the last training, the redheaded cheerleader is the one directly behind her and not the rightmost one. (00:20:25)

Continuity mistake: When all the other players interrupt Tsubasa's training to beg to have extra training as well, Roberto's position on the field changes and so does the number of balls by him (then there's a last shot when he's next to the goal, but every player is in position so a cut in time can be assumed). Other mistake: Shuutetsu's sweeper Shingo Takasugi is the victim of an obvious coloring error during his introduction, and as he kicks the ball from the defense he is shown wearing the purple and blue uniform of the goalkeeper instead of the teal and red of the team jersey. Some international dubs even try to cover the mistake making up a line about him being a substitute keeper in absence of Genzo (but his jersey changes intermittently). (00:08:55)

Revealing mistake: The alien is starting to mess with all sorts of mechanical and electronic devices. One of the first ill-effects shown is a large industrial cable reel that is dangling in midair when the mechanical arm lifting it is paralyzed. Problem is, you can see the operator has his hand on the controls and is stopping the crane himself using the lever, nothing alien about that. (00:14:50)

Continuity mistake: After Omar Sy beats up the masked pickpocketer in the Chinese supermarket, he waves the crowd to move on. The stick he has switches hands between shots. (00:04:25)

Continuity mistake: Flashback in the toilet; Claire is seeing to Assane's wounds. He tries to kiss her. Her hand under his chin is in a totally different position between shots. (00:24:10)

Continuity mistake: Princess Dawn is in her chambers and her servants are preparing her for the coronation. When her book-headed valet tells her "You have come of age", he is suddenly holding the tome with both hands, while he had just one on it before the cut. (00:19:30)
