Continuity mistake: When Zak and Saraya begin to argue over the TV, their dog is turned one way in the wide angle, and then the other way around after a brief cutaway shot. (00:01:10)

Red One (2024)
Continuity mistake: Gryla traps Jack and his son inside the snow globe. She talks to them at length, leaning against the shelf, her left hand between Dylan and the left part of the shelf. But once she says, "Tonight, I make the ride," the camera cuts to the two O'Malleys, and Dylan is suddenly at the far left edge of the shelf. (01:33:05)

Red One (2024)
Continuity mistake: The first time we see the snowman in Aruba, the snowman is standing in the shade of the trees as he reaches back to grab the freezing projectile; then he is fully in the sun when he throws it. (00:58:55)

Continuity mistake: In the staff room of the toy store, Callum gives Jack his Monopoly box to hold. The box does a 180° spin between shots, twice.

Lupin the 3rd (2014)
Factual error: In the opening heist, the gang of thieves wants to steal "The Medal of Zeus." A plate at the museum explains that in Ancient Greece, Olympic champions were awarded olive wreaths, up to the 88th Olympics in 424 BC, when a golden medal was given to the victor for the first time. This last bit about gold medals is just made up by the movie. But it also gets the timeline wrong; the 88th Olympics were in 428 BC. 424 BC is when the 89th games took place. (00:03:30)

Lupin III vs. Detective Conan (2009)
Character mistake: The opening shot of the movie pans across a fence supposed to enclose the hunting reservoir of the royal family of the fictitious kingdom of Vespania. Judging by the sign on the fence, the official language of the country must be EngRish; the sign says "Land Demesne We knownothing [sic] about FIRE!", citing also as source for these cryptic messages the "internal secuLity act of 1950." The Ritual Killer (2023)
Factual error: Evil 'sangoma' witch doctor Randoku is supposed to have almost superhuman abilities, but the cops that chase him in Rome aren't too shabby either; they somehow manage to give chase from Piazza di Spagna to the Colosseum to Castel Sant'Angelo. That's roughly 3 kilometres from one landmark to the other, on foot, within minutes.

The Ritual Killer (2023)
Stupidity: The ending has a bit of a twist; apparently, octogenarian college professor Morgan Freeman somehow chased down and murdered offscreen 6'3" professional assassin Vernon Davis. That's not the toughest part to swallow, though; he also sent the two detectives (one of whom he is not even supposed to know of) via UPS 2-day delivery mail some body parts of his victim. We don't know which part Lavazzi gets (genitalia were mentioned earlier), but Boyd gets the eyes and decides to eat them. For starters, unrefrigerated 2-3 day old eyes would never look as pristine as the ones Boyd gets. Also, Morgan Freeman mentioned earlier in the movie that for the power of Muti to be effective, the body parts need to be taken from a victim that is alive, screaming, and eaten only mixed with herbs and other catalysts. So what the detective does doesn't make sense even in the movie lore.

The Ritual Killer (2023)
Revealing mistake: When Detective Boyd receives the package at the end of the movie, the package is not even addressed to him, but rather to a Jim Clark, 123 Chapman Lane, 96561 Lotus, CA. Which is, as you might guess, a sample package label. One of the top results when you Google "UPS shipping label", or whatever the lazy production department people looked up, downloaded and printed without bothering to edit it. (01:23:35)

The Ritual Killer (2023)
Factual error: The protagonist, Cole Hauser, works for the Clinton police, as it is written everywhere on the police cars and the T-shirt he wears. However, he is assigned to murder investigations that take place by the river, and plenty of locations (the bar they hang out at, Morgan Freeman's college) are explicitly in Jackson.

The Ritual Killer (2023)
Continuity mistake: Following the scene when they find Katie, Boyd bangs his head against the glass of the hospital window. He puts his right hand against the window, partially on the frame, and he slides it downwards. But in the shot from the side, that hand is entirely off the frame; in fact, to the side of it. The Ritual Killer (2023)
Continuity mistake: Designated victim Katie is at the creepy South African CEO's mansion. She sipped quite a bit of her drink at the beginning of the scene, but once she puts it back on the table, the glass is practically full again. (01:09:50)

The Ritual Killer (2023)
Continuity mistake: When, in a particularly bold move, Boyd pushes Farner against the doorframe, Farner laughs nervously, saying, "Obviously you don't know who you're talking to." Cole Hauser's thumb is stretched up behind Brian Kurlander's ear all of a sudden. (01:06:40)

The Ritual Killer (2023)
Character mistake: The end credits (which are also IMDb's source) have the protagonist as "Detective Lucas Boyd." However, in the movie, his name (see the nametag on his desk) is spelled "Lukas" with a K. (01:01:05)

The Ritual Killer (2023)
Revealing mistake: Boyd brought Dr. Mackles to the location where he escaped the police hunt. Meanwhile, he rummaged through the rest of the place. In a closet, he found a newspaper with an article that talks about the evil South African CEO. In the first paragraph, because the rest is filler text about a completely unrelated topic (the answer about an inheritance question from the advice column of the Moneywatch website). (00:58:50)

The Ritual Killer (2023)
Continuity mistake: During the manhunt following the bar incident, Randoku pounces on Boyd, sending him to the floor. Now when you see Boyd's reaction from the front, it's pretty straightforward; he crawls a bit, just enough to reach for the gun, which he grabs so he can try and shoot the fugitive. However, the camera angle behind Boyd tells a slightly different story; he fumbles at first, sending the gun further away from him, and then he manages to grab it. In the other camera angle, the gun is always at the same spot (which doesn't match the other angle). (00:55:20)
