Continuity mistake: When Kindaichi falls from the cart, the boxes around him are placed in a way that it's not just incongruous continuity-wise from shot to shot, but is also nonsensical; in one shot for instance he has a box through each leg, but since Longtao smuggled him out inside them, both legs had to be inside the same box; the cardboard was surrounding him. Continuity mistake: When Longtao carts away from the hotel the boxes, they are all the same texture, but when the wheel is caught in the step, the middle box is striped. (00:12:30)

Continuity mistake: Inside the laundry cart, Kindaichi asks Longtao where does he bring the linens. The cloth on top of his head slips behind him, but this happens again in the next shot; it's back on his head and drops all the way down again. (00:09:35)

Character mistake: For being a genius raised abroad, Takato's English pronunciation is abysmal - check out when he says the line about the magic crystal on stage. (00:12:40)

Continuity mistake: Russell Crowe's stuntman leaps through the non-stained office window in two different ways in the scene when he's held at gunpoint by the two henchmen. (00:20:50)

Continuity mistake: The younger gangster (credited as 'Blueface' for what happens later in the scene) is sitting on his heels and asks a first time "Where is Amelia?" He stands, and in the next shot he's standing, again, and he even has both hands on the floor, which he hadn't in the first shot. (00:18:30)

Continuity mistake: A bad guy hiding in Jackson's apartment points a gun at his head when Jackson, carrying a case of Yoo-hoo, is distracted by his accomplice. In close-up the older guy takes his glasses off, but in the next wider shot he's wearing them. (00:16:25)

Other mistake: Misty's car at the beginning of the movie crashes into the house presumably breaking through the perimeter wall, certainly does smash through interior walls and furniture, but in the living room it still has every single light, including the side ones, completely whole and undamaged.

Continuity mistake: Joanne's dad hits Tuba up with the baseball bat after he tried to fix his zipper; between shots Sammo Hung's hand is in a different position, as you can tell by the writing on the bat that suddenly in the second shot is in view and not covered by the hand anymore, and even further uncovered in the next. (01:29:15)

Continuity mistake: Jeong-lee Hwang is fighting Tuba in front of a metal cage. He sends him against several boxes of fruit, and you can see Sammo Hung reeling against a brown box of apples. Out of nowhere, in the next shot a box of oranges appeared on top of it. (01:20:40)

Other mistake: Tuba is back home after Rambo completely ruined the dinner at his fiancée's. During the scene, the clock on the wall has all hands still, including the seconds. (01:11:00)

Continuity mistake: Ghost Rambo eats the apple, then puts it quickly back on the plate. The apple is lying on the side in close-up, but when Tuba looks around puzzled, it is sitting on the plate with the stalk up. (00:55:00)

Continuity mistake: Tuba jumps out of the supermarket in joy after asking Joanne out. The people around him when he leaps are different from the ones around him when he lands; in particular you can notice behind him in the second shot there's a lady with frizzly hair and a white sweater that already sped way past him in the first one. Hide and Seek - S2-E9

Stupidity: Towards the end of the season, the Borg Queen uses Soong to get control of the ship. When asked by the heroes who gained back control, she says that her plan is to get back to the Delta Quadrant and prepare for the Confederation that she already fought in her 'future'. If that's her plan, it's quite silly; she prepares for a conflict she might lose, when she has in her grasp the man who, as she knows, will originate the Confederation itself; Soong, not to mention that she can assimilate (or destroy) the whole Earth already. No reason is given why she'd let 'us' live and thrive.

Character mistake: During Act 1, Steve invites the romantic interest of the protagonist to ride his (dad's) Mustang. Prominently featured amongst the merchandise they sell at the store, packages of Fruit Blast cereals advertised as having "DELICOUS taste."

Black Butterfly Murder Case: File 1 - S3-E1

Stupidity: Since "Touno" was prominently featured on the photo of a lengthy article about the butterfly crypto-entomologist Shimon Madarame, it's quite strange to say the least that Kindaichi and his journalist friend wouldn't have the slightest clue about his name or generic occupation. Generally a magazine does not put a person in 1/3 of a double page spread without at least hinting the reader about a person's identity, especially when they are not doing anything in the picture.

Black Butterfly Murder Case: File 1 - S3-E1

Continuity mistake: Itsuki chokes on his beer reacting to a page almost entirely filled with text. Kindaichi then looks at a page with a photo spread with pictures taking 2/3 of the page. (00:00:02 - 00:01:50)

Continuity mistake: The old lady grabs a knife and throws it at Jack Deth. In the wide angle he lets go of the stove, but in the next shot he's still clinging to it with his left hand. (00:05:05)

Revealing mistake: When Jack punches the old lady, he swings way off target, and also 'she' (the stuntwoman, really) turns towards the counter and uses her arms to push herself to the other side. (00:04:45)

Continuity mistake: When Guinan puts her glass down the first time, the liquor in the bottle shakes less, more, less between shots. (00:19:55)
