Continuity mistake: At lunch, Jim asks Beth Davenport to find out everything Ann knows about her husband. She is touching her necklace, but at the cut that same hand holds a mug. (00:09:10)
Say Goodbye to Jennifer - S1-E19
Continuity mistake: Early in the morning, before Rockford heads out to the airport for a stand-by flight, when he picks up the phone receiver he holds it in his right hand, then it cuts to a closeup. This closeup presents three issues. One, Rockford is wearing a pinky ring on his right hand that doesn't exist otherwise; two, a rolodex suddenly appears beside the telephone; three, the right hand in the closeup is not holding the receiver. Say Goodbye to Jennifer - S1-E19
Visible crew/equipment: While Rockford is in Dr. Stuart's office Stuart gets a wet washcloth for his bruises, and when he tells Rockford that he's known Jennifer since she moved to LA, the white T-mark is visible on the floor beside the patient chair, where Stuart had been standing. (00:30:00)
Charlie Harris at Large - S1-E20
Visible crew/equipment: After Rockford's lunch with Bannister at the club, Rockford goes to find Charlie at the house and instead he is surprised by Sgt. Garvey's presence. When Garvey tells Rockford that Charlie's gone, in the next shot facing Rockford (and also a following shot) the boom mic is moving around in the bottom right corner of the screen. (00:39:50)

Visible crew/equipment: When Rockford returns the tape to Mitch they discuss Jennifer, and just as Rockford tells Mitch that he doesn't deal in open cases, two black T-marks taped to the rug are visible near the desk. (00:03:35)
Visible crew/equipment: When Rocky enters the trailer while Rockford is still monkeying around with the tape recorder, Rocky tells him that he got some staples. At that moment watch the space between Rockford's arm and the desk at the bottom of the screen, where we can see the boom mic moving around beside Rockford. (00:24:00)
Visible crew/equipment: While Daniel Kramer is speaking to Rockford at the trailer, when Kramer hands Rockford the last known address for Maria Heller, the boom mic pops up into view at the bottom of the screen. (00:06:10)
Continuity mistake: When Rockford goes to see Diana a second time it's too late, so he begins to search her dresser. As Rockford closes the third drawer a folded brown cloth (scarf perhaps) gets caught at the top, but after he completes his search of the rest of the drawers, that third drawer is closed properly. Continuity mistake: At the start, when Claire is being chased by the two goons, as they make a sharp right turn their car's front left hubcap flies across the street, then when they pull up behind Claire's parked car, the hubcap reappears on their tire. (00:02:40)

Continuity mistake: When Rockford walks into the Mayfair bathroom there's a guy at one of the sinks. The style of the sink and faucet is entirely different between the closeups and wide shots. (00:46:00)
Continuity mistake: When Rockford finds the rock band clipping amongst Aura Lee's collection of matchbooks, it's been cut directly above the heading "Underground Railroad" when we see it in closeup twice. First time at the beach, then later when Rockford and Sara start back at square one. but while they're still back at square one Rockford phones Becker, and now the words "Coming Soon!" precede the "Underground Railroad" heading. Deliberate mistake: After Rockford pulls into the gas station and wipes down the windshield he speeds away to lose the tail. When he passes the park bench it's a flipped shot, then when the tail passes the park bench it's another flipped shot. (00:18:15)

Continuity mistake: While Rockford is in the Mayfair bathroom he deliberately spills soap on the floor, and when he places his hand in his pocket to remove the roll of coins the closeup is a flipped shot. Note the direction of the buttons. (00:46:55)
Continuity mistake: When Rockford and Tawnia are at the drive-in restaurant having burgers, the window tray clips are either yellow or red depending on the angle of the shot. (00:34:40)
Continuity mistake: While Rockford is driving to meet with Claire at the zoo, the license plate number is "835-OKG" at the front of his car, then later when Rockford eludes Becker's tail it's "853-OKG" on his front license plate. (00:07:05 - 00:26:40)

Visible crew/equipment: After Rockford shares his woes about the garbage disposal with Alec Morris, just as Rockford says, "Come on over, you can kibitz while I try to fix this thing," the bouncing microphone becomes visible at the bottom left side of the screen, behind the glass bowl. (00:04:40)
Caledonia - It's Worth a Fortune! - S1-E12
Continuity mistake: When Rockford and Len dig up the box in the chicken shed Jolene is the one who retrieves it. In the two closeups, as Jolene lifts the box and then as she removes the contents her nail polish changes and her ring/bracelet vanish. (00:46:20)
Continuity mistake: After Rockford gives Dexter's secretary, Miss Adams, his last lit cigarette for her collection, when it cuts to Rockford driving up to the apartments, his front license plate number is "835-OKG" but it's "853-OKG" on the back license plate. (00:06:00)
