Revealing mistake: During the montage of the ghosts running rampant in NY, one of them in the shape of some sort of dinosaur pops through the archway in Washington Square. It's a ghost solid enough to have to squeeze through the opening and not just disappear through the marble, but when it roars menacingly the optical effect does not work and the superimposed monster does in fact pass through the solid stone. Revealing mistake: When Bemular and Ultraman wrestle by the river, evidently the stunt double's arm couldn't fit inside the Bemular's T-rex arms, because they are entirely lifeless and instead of 'wrestling', the scene is basically Ultraman rolling around hugging a big rubber log. (00:21:10)

Continuity mistake: The submarine is surrounded by burning trees, but when Hayata sticks his arm out to summon Ultraman there's nothing burning in the background. (00:19:40)

Revealing mistake: The VTOL hits Bemular with two missiles the second time that Hayata makes him come out of the water. The second missile causes an explosion with the special effect applied in the wrong spot, a spot in the back of the monster that is practically the opposite of the direction in the line of shot. Continuity mistake: When Captain Muramatsu sees Hayata on the boat, he sticks the antenna out from his lapel radio, but he already had it out to talk to Akiko. (00:14:20)

Other mistake: Kindaichi is on the run from the police. He rolled in dirt with his only shirt and jeans, and he had multiple dirt stains when he was on the phone with Miyuki in Nagano, but at the end of his clandestine trip in the back of a truck, he shows up in Tokyo perfectly clean.

Continuity mistake: When Kindaichi pages Miyuki, she clicks the button on top to answer, but in the next shot she's holding the device in a different way. (00:04:15)

Continuity mistake: Cici wrongly assumes his ex is at the phone and says his name; "Ted?" The blue pillow she's leaning her right part of the body agains changes position between shots. (00:29:35)

Continuity mistake: Gale massages her chin after she's hit, but does it alternatively with her thumb tucked under the chin or outwards, depending on the camera angle. (00:25:45)

Continuity mistake: Both when Gale speaks into the microphone saying "Tell us everything that's happened", and when she wags her finger at her motioning her not to punch her, her hand is at heights inconsistent between shots. (00:25:15)

Continuity mistake: Sidney and Dewey begin their chat. In the wide shot, you can see that a girl is passing by the gazebo, behind it. She does it again in the next closer angle on the two talking, starting from way back. (00:22:50)

Continuity mistake: When Gale tells Debbie off giving her a nasty 'quote', the sun shines on Laurie Metcalf's sleeve in the angle where she says "Great!" and does not in the ones before and after. She is left standing in dismay, and you can see her in background with the sun casting another entirely different shadow even if she didn't move. (00:20:05)

Continuity mistake: Debbie Salt introduces herself to Gale Weathers and asks her a question that Gale does not like, so much that she puts her hand on Joel's camera and points it away, downwards. At the cut though Joel's camera is back up. (00:20:00)

Audio problem: Randy is leaving class to meet Sidney, but his classmate first asks him "So, Mr. Originality..." The camera cuts away before she finishes the sentence, but you can tell that the word that came after "So" doesn't match what the actress is saying. (00:17:20)
