Continuity mistake: Elaine phoned her friends to meet her in front of the money ball. When we see Jane approach, she has a rather quizzical look. She walks past a bench with two older people on it, and comes across two women; one has long black hair and wears brown pants, the other shorter blonde hair and has lighter brown pants with some sort of long beige sweater tied to her waist that goes past her knees. The exact same duo that walked past her in the opposite direction is in front of her in the mall square a couple of shots later. (00:36:55)

Continuity mistake: Elaine is out of gas and tries to make a phone call at the mall. When she hangs up, the phone cord is positioned above or under the microphone in different shots without her touching it. (00:35:30)

Continuity mistake: Jane is talking to her dad who was just thrown out by her mum going through a lesbian phase. Look at him when he says "Hall closet, top shelf! Aye, aye, captain." His duffel back is floppy, and it rests already tighter to his body at the cut. (00:32:40)

Continuity mistake: In bed with Albert, Louise tells him she's gonna lose the store. She is holding the issue of Time magazine in different positions and distance between shots. For instance, at the first cut the magazine is suddenly resting on her chest, and the tip of her hair is above or below the magazine between shots. (00:23:25)

Factual error: It is established early in the movie (Natalie's call) that the money ball event celebration is part of the -first - anniversary of the Valley River Center, the shopping mall where most of the movie is set, with the town of Eugene, Oregon, mentioned explicitly. However, the center opened in 1969, and the movie is set in 1980. The original script was written in 1971, so that line needed an update and slipped by.

Visible crew/equipment: Jane and Louise drive to Elaine's garage sale. The car stops, and in the frame of the windshield you can see the reflection of a person moving and holding equipment. (00:18:40)

Continuity mistake: Jane talks to Fred Willard once they get out of their lovemaking vehicle. She crosses her hands on top of the car door, but the hands are positioned differently between shots (when she says "Robert" the left is on top of the other, cut and they are locked together with the left hand sideways). Continuity mistake: In the intro, the mother is playing with her kid; notice that when she grabs the gladiator puppet she is holding it with the index finger above the shoulder in the wider angle, below in the frontal close-up. (00:01:00)

Continuity mistake: The arc-shaped garden plant directed the protagonist to someone who can help him. A nasty human armed with shears walks by and starts his torture; he kneels by the plant, in a zone with no shadows, and in the next shot the whole section of ground is in the shade. (00:39:40)

Continuity mistake: During the opening credits, the three protagonists walk into a literal meat market; the price tags on the steaks change position between the two wider angle and the closer one. (00:02:00)

Continuity mistake: In the 'match' when he tags with John Cena, Fred is picked up by the rival vampire in a fireman's carry position (kinda like for Cena's Attitude Adjustment), but his head is over the opponent's right shoulder in the first, wide, shot and towards the left shoulder in close-up.

Factual error: The scene with Queen Victoria in Florence happens too early since it is supposed to happen in the spring of 1888 but Abdul Karim was not yet her official "Munshi", being appointed to that title in August of the same year.

Factual error: Performing for Queen Victoria is the famous opera composer Giacomo Puccini. This happens during her sojourn in Florence in 1888. Puccini was born in 1858, so he was barely thirty years of age, but the actor portraying him, Simon Callow, is in his late 60s (and it shows). Moreover, he is presenting his latest creation "Manon Lescaut"; in 1888 he hadn't even started working on it.

Continuity mistake: Maya just made a fool out of herself with her first unfortunate riding efforts, but recovered nicely. She exchanges words with Brooklyn; her "don't hate the player, hate the game" reply comes in a shot when she is in a position where she would not be facing her, and then it cuts to a close-up of the horse as he speaks, and where his head is lit in an entirely different way compared to the rest of the scene. Continuity mistake: Maya and Brook are arguing in the bus, and the donut guy interjects; "Let's play the quiet game." He puts his right arm on the opposite aisle, but it's in his lap at the cut. (00:16:45)

Continuity mistake: After the car crash, Maya follows the darn dog to complain about his careless crossing. In an abrupt cut, she has her right arm straight down the side, then her hand is on her hip. (00:02:15)
