Plot hole: Five people in total are on a remote location, but they have food poisoning, so severe that they call in the paramedics. Humphrey arrives when they are being taken care of already. During all the time it took for the doctors to arrive, and when the actual rescue was there and was administering help, nobody bothered to check on the victim in his tent - if anyone did, they would have found him dead, since the poison killed him in 30 minutes. The son, the lover and the good friend of the victim, nobody thought about him for a moment.

Plot hole: The killer poisons the victim's belonging when they met early in the morning - that means that the victim stayed the whole day with the poison in the pages of his journal he always brings with him. Yet the murderer's plan required the poisoning to happen at a very specific and precise moment: the end of the day after they'd all had eaten together the stew with the non-lethal dose. It is something that they couldn't have planned at all the way it is described, not when they did the poisoning so far in advance.

Character mistake: On the website of the Saint Marie Heritage Society, there's an ample mention of Catherine's bar where the society gathers. However, it mentions the lovely "Catherine Duval" serving drinks - Catherine is Camille's mother, and their last name, as also present in the credits, is Bordey, not Duval. (00:20:45)

Continuity mistake: When Camille spots the camera and asks Henri Garon to give it to the authorities, in close-up the camera is fairly close to the side of the table by him. In the wider angles though, it's noticeably more distant, at least compared to the distance with the shorter side of the table. (00:07:50)

Continuity mistake: During the first interview with the suspects, at Catherine's, the drinks on the table are positioned differently depending on the angle; for instance when Imke Sandt mentions the "foraged for other ingredients", the slice of lemon on her glass is on the part of the rim closest to her, but when Camille begins her follow-up question the slice moved to the opposite side. Continuity mistake: Dwayne goes through the personal belongings of the victim he just catalogued. In the background, watch for Florence; she is not holding a pen, her right hand is on the bloc notes. Camera closer up, and she is holding a pen. Moments later, Camille is writing with her pen that has the cap fitted on the top, except in the last shot (when Dwayne mentions the authentic meal) when it's gone. (00:05:35)

Audio problem: The lengthy tutorial for the game is carried through by the character Kiki, Mr. Mu's aide. The text balloons are mostly fine, but each line is also dubbed, in a language that tries really hard to be English, but is obviously read by a non-native speaker and butchered to the point of being barely if at all intelligible.

Plot hole: The police staff in this episode act as if it's morning and they just met; Camille goes fetch her boss at his shack after he barely survived some jogging, and he never asked her about the date she had the previous episode, aka previous night (because of course two murders happen in two days in the little island). But the murder happened in the evening, at least well past 5 PM when it rained. Aside from the fact that the light during the first interview with the suspects is perfect and bright for being dinnertime even in a tropical paradise, what have Humphrey & co. been doing all day, if the day is almost over and they are exactly as we left them at the end of the previous episode?

Continuity mistake: During the denouement, Florence and Dwayne are standing under direct sunlight, or not - for instance look at their position when DI Humphrey Goodman says "None of that helped with the central problem" after quickly going through names and motivations, compared to "and then, it all started to make sense " (00:43:55)

Audio problem: Florence talks about the financial problems of the surfing school. Doing so, she says that they have two mortgages and they "are behind in both." This last part is pronounced with the camera behind Joséphine Jobert, but the timing between audio and jaw movement is off. There's also a little jump in continuity with her left hand away from the sheet/on it. (00:35:10)
