Stupidity: During the final climax, Kevin has enough rope free to turn the handle of the vise once his mom helped him the first time, and Garrett's feet touch the floor - but he insists on gripping the ladder instead of reaching down to loosen the knot. Both basically move their hands left and right randomly, taking ages to free themselves with the strangest methods.

The Boy Next Door (2015)
Stupidity: Noah sends the little punk home with, according to the vice principal, a fractured skull. He's not a minor (the victim may or may not be), and with a savage beating ending up with damage of property and hospitalization of a kid, at school, should have led to something way more severe than 'being expelled' (which seemingly happened because he called her a c*nt, rather than the rest). And hilariously enough, a couple scenes later, the principal reprimands her for giving him, the nearly murderous maniac student, a slight push to keep him at distance (instead of say, checking if she had been assaulted herself).

The Boy Next Door (2015)
Continuity mistake: When Kevin tries to ask the hardware store girl out, Noah's feet are in frame and he assumes the waiting stance, turning them around and crossing them. Yet in the following shot he is just only then turning around and leaning. (00:42:35)

The Boy Next Door (2015)
Continuity mistake: Claire's husband and son are back from their trip. As Kevin starts talking about the 'big mountain dude', Claire has her hand under her ear in the front view, while in the side view she has it in a different position by her cheek, and only after a moment she places it as shown before, under the earlobe. Similarly, a few seconds later when she says "Oh, thank you" commenting on the shovel cooking story, she has her hand suddenly under her chin while she previously had both sideways rubbing her own neck. The Boy Next Door (2015)
Continuity mistake: When Vicky, to try and break the embarassment with the rude 'practical skills' guy, says "I think it stopped raining", she turns away but still has her elbow on the table. Vice versa, in the following shot she is turning back starting from a position with her arm off the table. (00:18:25)

The Boy Next Door (2015)
Continuity mistake: Claire's wimpy son is all embarrassed by the hot schoolmate at the cash register. During the conversation, there's obvious poor continuity in the back-and-forth between him and Noah with the items to purchase: Kevin is holding the clutch waist-high or to his chest, as shown by Noah's right arm in frame or not. Cotton Comes to Harlem (1970)
Continuity mistake: At the end, Digger is holding the picture in his right hand, the one he has on the steering wheel, shown in the background. Of course, he never keeps the hand that steady on the wheel in the rest of the scene. And in the last shot of the sequence, as Ed keeps reading, the hand has dropped down already. Also, technically he had the hand on the steering wheel but not holding it, while in the close-up with the animated picture, he is gripping it. (01:35:10)

Cotton Comes to Harlem (1970)
Continuity mistake: Backstage, Deke begins to carve open with a hook the famed bale of cotton. Multiple wads are spread around the main opening. When Coffin Ed throws him on the bale, the smaller bits have vanished. Same happens in a much shorter timespan when he punches him in the gut: clean bale, but multiple wads were scattered a moment before when he threw him on it. (01:26:15 - 01:28:00)

Cotton Comes to Harlem (1970)
Revealing mistake: During the messy situation in front of the precinct, one of the militia guys throws one hilariously fake Shoryuken-like punch at someone, missing him by a mile (the head of the guy is not in view, behind other people in the crowd and still you can tell he's not anywhere in range). Cotton Comes to Harlem (1970)
Continuity mistake: People march in the street clamoring for the release of Deke. Watch the white dude next to a car: a few people are about to pass him by, and he is holding his hand up, gesturing. In the closer view, he's just watching them pass with his arms limps down his sides. (01:00:40)

Cotton Comes to Harlem (1970)
Continuity mistake: Grave Digger shoots a flare and lights up the junkyard with a rather goofy effect (it's obvious that a spotlight is being used). Moreover, a moment later the villains shoot the other villain (white dude in a full suit), and there's no real continuity in his posture, position and lighting of the shot. (00:47:35)

Cotton Comes to Harlem (1970)
Audio problem: After the scene with the white dude visiting Sanford to look for cotton, we see the reverend being greeted by a bunch of people playing billiards. There's a marked discontinuity even in the audio played as he walks forward to a hi-five, not to mention that nobody had the cue anywhere near the green carpet but still you see in the second shot that balls are rolling. Cotton Comes to Harlem (1970)

Revealing mistake: Iris' taxi stops in front of the Apollo. The street is pretty much empty, but once she is shown getting off the cab, there's suddenly cars, people all over the sidewalk and even in the middle of the road, pretty much everyone looking at the camera crew filming. (00:36:50)

Cotton Comes to Harlem (1970)
Continuity mistake: When the cop is duped by Iris into taking his clothes off, the shadows change noticeably. In the wider angle sideviews there's a pronounced shadow on the top of the door while in the closer views of the cop the door appears more open - or at least the clean shadow disappeared. He also projects a shadow in different spots of the wall, again depending on the angle of filming. Cotton Comes to Harlem (1970)

Continuity mistake: At home with the widow, Reverend O'Malley is talking to her as she stands by the window. The lighting of the scene changes blatantly depending on the angle of the shot - just look at the shadow suddenly in the middle of the curtains in the closer view. (00:29:25)

Alita: Battle Angel (2019)
Stupidity: Cyborgs have amazing jumping capabilities, but the assault on Zalem basically failed because the whole platoon of United Republics of Mars blindly shooted at the defense ring with puny rifles and never trying to avoid it (and they were fully aware of its presence). The novelization at least makes more sense since they have better weapons and it's the tube giving out that wipes them out - here, it happens after it already killed everybody except Michelle Rodriguez.

Alita: Battle Angel (2019)
Plot hole: Grewishka sneak-attacks Alita using his weapon from outside the window. How in the world was the hulking behemoth just standing outside the window without Alita noticing? He surely couldn't have tiptoed into that spot after she arrived, he makes a ruckus for every step he takes. (01:47:10)

Alita: Battle Angel (2019)
Stupidity: In the wanted poster for Hugo (he's the only person named "Hugo" in the world, apparently) his bounty for one murder is 30,000 credits, 50% higher than the notorious villain Nyssiana who slayed 7 people (and who knows how many other felonies). Obviously the system is rigged, but one wonders why do they even bother to keep appearances up when murders obviously not committed by a person (Zapan's Damascus Blade is one-of-a-kind, so at most they could have pinned the murder on Alita who shares the tech...but who cares since there's no real law-enforcement or trial?) can just arbitrarily be pinned on others with whatever bounty.

Alita: Battle Angel (2019)

Continuity mistake: Hugo is running away from Zapan; after the sequence of Alita's busted pipe we see him jump over a parapet onto a street underneath, rolling just past an incoming utility vehicle. In the overhead shot he lands right in front of a group of people including a rather conspicuous man with a pink shirt, but in the following shot almost everyone in the street is gone. (01:34:40)
