Magnum, P.I. (1980)

The Ugliest Dog in Hawaii - S1-E8

Continuity mistake: Steve is typing away while DiGorgio disses him for failing to snag the pooch. When he says "You need somebody to tell you somethin' ", Steve's closed fist moves from the keys to the top of the typewriter. (00:10:20)

Magnum, P.I. (1980)

The Ugliest Dog in Hawaii - S1-E8

Revealing mistake: The moment Mitch and the other goon walk away leaving Victor DiGorgio in the car, you can spot in the background Michael Hasegawa in his private cop uniform waiting for his cue to enter stage, and just pretend to randomly notice the parking violation. (00:03:10)

Plot of Fear (1976)

Revealing mistake: Lomenzo needs to search through the police archive, and his coworker guides him through it. He opens a drawer where there are 3 folders containing case files starting with the letter A (including a ludicrously generic "Associates"). When he opened it, the labels on the front of the drawers were all starting with letter V. (00:10:35)

Plot of Fear (1976)

Continuity mistake: Inspector Gaspare Lomenzo arrives home and bickers with his girlfriend. After telling her that he's her "white slave", he leans against the counter; his hand is on the corner in the wider angle, on the front in the close-up. (00:09:20)

Plot of Fear (1976)

Revealing mistake: The protagonist figured out that the killer is following the "Shaggy Peter" nursery rhyme and explains it to his colleague. A close-up of the supposed killer follows, putting together an album with obituaries. The obituary to the left is an obvious fake; its bottom half begins with half a word mid-sentence, and it mentions a daughter-in-law; the actress Greta Vayan playing the victim - a prostitute - was in her early 30s. Plot of Fear (1976)

Audio problem: When the commissioner gets to the station at the beginning of the movie, a trans greets him, but their mouth does not move when they talk. (00:04:30)

Plot of Fear (1976)

Revealing mistake: In the second murder, the killer of the first one is bashed in the head by a monkey wrench, her head split open. A second hit ensues, but there's no reaction to it, no further spraying or damage, the head itself barely moves, and with delay. (00:04:30)

Plot of Fear (1976)

Stupidity: In the first murder, the victim is strangled, frontally and bare-handed, by a woman his size, and his only reaction throughout his agony and protests is to put his hands on hers. You gotta have no instinct of self-preservation whatsoever. (00:02:00)

Magnum, P.I. (1980)

The Ugliest Dog in Hawaii - S1-E8

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the episode, the mobster park illegally on the yellow zone. During the hijinks that ensue, the extras' movements don't transition from one shot to the next. You can see it right at the first cut; conspicuous extras such as one holding a red bag, or a girl in an ethnic skirt selling leis, appear all of a sudden. Plus, there's a big amount of recycling with the extras - there's a guy in Hawaiian blue shirt carrying a suitcase that keeps walking by Victor DiGorgio. (00:02:40)

Never Again... Never Again - S1-E7

Audio problem: In the episode montage that precedes the opening theme, Rick does his fake sushi delivery man schtick ringing the doorbell. The sound of the doorbell there is a buzzing sound different from the one used later in the actual episode. Which also is a single neat two-tone sound, in contrast with Larry Manetti pressing the button multiple times. (00:00:30 - 00:37:40)

Never Again... Never Again - S1-E7

Audio problem: The first time Magnum goes to the Honolulu hospital, the first sound in the building consists of an announcement; "Janet Clark, please report to Maternity, Janet Clark." The announcement is repeated throughout the scene Magnum is in the doctor's office at night, just as he switches off the lamp on top of the filing cabinet (by the life preserver), Janet Clark is paged in maternity again. Never Again... Never Again - S1-E7

Continuity mistake: After the cliffhanger with Higgins pointing his gun at someone and seemingly unaware that that someone has a backup, it's time to show Magnum again that is rushing back home saying in voiceover how worried he is. Slightly undermining the severity of the predicament is the fact that in that particular shot and just there, he's driving with no pants on. (00:28:50)

Never Again... Never Again - S1-E7

Audio problem: During the climax with Lena on the boat defending their action, from "They have no right to hunt us like animals" onwards the parts of dialogue with Hanna Landy are dubbed later and with a very inconsistent audio level. (00:45:40)

Never Again... Never Again - S1-E7

Continuity mistake: Rick and Magnum spot the ambulance carrying someone away from Saul's home, and so they run out of the car to check what happened. Rick does not shut the car door, they go then straight into the Greenbergs' house, but when they come out, the Ferrari has both doors closed. (00:10:45 - 00:11:50)

Never Again... Never Again - S1-E7

Revealing mistake: Magnum catches the boat that already sailed away through a great feat, leaping from the pier. The editing trick is fairly obvious; the stuntman's leap is not quite reaching, headed to a platform we can spot at the bottom. But it cuts then to Tom Selleck who with a true airwalking prodigy connects right with the top of the railing, pulling himself aboard. (00:43:25)
