Death on the Nile (2022)

Factual error: The opening assault of the movie bears the date October 31, 1914. Poirot's squad attacks the Germans using the cover of gas delivered through canisters. The first documented use of poison gas in warfare was in April of the following year by the Germans, but it possible that the Belgians would attack using non-lethal gas, which they employed starting August of the same year. They wouldn't have the gas masks that they are sporting during the assault, though, including a full headed hood designed by Cluny MacPherson in 1915 (worn by one of the extras that wanders behind Poirot as he takes off his respirator). Death on the Nile (2022)

Stupidity: When Poirot's team attacks the Germans, they do it through the cover of gas they release. The Germans are having a good time chatting and not taking the situation seriously when there's a big cloud of noxious gas advancing towards them. Despite Poirot's oh-so-clever plan, they should by all means know that something is coming their way, but they get caught entirely with their pants down.

The Nice Guys (2016)

Other mistake: The Nice Guys have just dropped the disfigured body onto the fancy dinner table of someone. They run away, but before the camera cuts away you can see Ryan Gosling is trying hard not to laugh. (00:47:15)

Being a DIK

Other mistake: When you tell Josy that you have been admitted to college, the liquor on the shelf "Three Amigo Tequila" is poorly textured; the first and last letters of 'Tequila' do not fit the label and go out of frame.

Being a DIK

Character mistake: At the cafeteria, the list of pizzas opens with "Margarita"; the correct name of the pizza is "Margherita."

The Nice Guys (2016)

Factual error: During the scene with Amelia in Holly's bedroom, on the wall you can see the iconic photo on the cover of the "London Calling" album by The Clash. It's a photo with the bassist smashing the guitar onstage at the Palladium September 20, 1979, almost two years after the movie supposedly takes place. But there's also a Blondie poster on the right of the bed which, while based in fact on a shot from 1976, is a modern cheap styling in pink leopard print widely, marketed on the internet today but that is not appropriate to the time period. The Nice Guys (2016)

Factual error: To show how March was plenty wrong in his deduction about airport traffic, a big plane flies above his head. The plane has the trademark modern South West bright blue livery, but in 1977 it would have the Desert Gold colors. Or no colors at all, since South West didn't serve Los Angeles until 1982. The Serene Squall - S1-E7

Other mistake: The episode begins with the Enterprise unable to contact in timely fashion the Federation, because there are 2 days of delay in communications, which puts Pike in a bind since apparently he needs authorization to get in non-Federation space (which kinda undermines the premise of the show). However, later in the episode, the Enterprise contacts the Vulcan facility on Omicron Lyrae without the slightest difficulty or delay.

The Nice Guys (2016)

Factual error: March is already wasted at the party, and tells the barman that "it's the killer bees." In the background as he says those lines (and even better when the dancer gets on her knees) you can see a bottle with half its label torn. That's because you can still make out from the bottom (and the shape of the bottle) that it's a bottle of the premium variety of Beefeater gin, Beefeater 24, which was launched only in October 2008, a good three decades after the supposed year of the movie. Factual error: Holland and Jackson drive in 1977 from the protest to the next hint to Amelia's whereabouts, passing through the Chinatown Gateway Monument, which was built in 2001. (00:29:10)

Crush Crush

Character mistake: One of Claudia's lines is "You're making it difficult maintaining a nihilistic pastiche." Not sure which fancy French word they were aiming for, but it does not appear to make sense in the context.

Other mistake: The scene in the semi-underground wrestling match features some old time territory wrestlers, namely Professor Toru Tanaka and one of the many evil Russians (he was Canadian, really) of pro wrestling, Alexis Smirnoff. In the end credits though, his name gets feminized as Alexia Smirnoff. (01:27:55)

Other mistake: When the alligator crawls in the sewers after the helicopter scene, the footage is directly ported from the previous movie. (01:22:15)

Revealing mistake: Brown grabs the contracts and runs away. He and his trusted henchman spot the alligator; in the shot just before the one where Brown gives the ever useful order "Kill him", the alligator is visible in all its fakery. (01:14:15)

Sammo

Revealing mistake: The alligator emerges from the lake and after knocking back a Carrot Top clone, he begins scuttling through the crowd. In the orgy of poor special effects, it's of particular note a shot where people supposedly are running away from the beast but half the extras are giggling and one guy doesn't even bother to run, just glances bored at the 'monster' less than 2 meters away from him. (01:13:10)

Continuity mistake: Christine throws Hawkins' cigarette in the manhole and runs back to the truck; David in the first shot does not have his hand on his chest, but he does in the next. (01:08:20)

Continuity mistake: After the alligator eats the bomb, the three hunters decide to split. When David suggests it, the strap goes across his chest a different way in the two shots. (01:07:05)

Continuity mistake: Vinny Brown visits his realtor, who tells him to "tell those lowlives to shut up." Cut, and both Steve Railsback and Elkanah Burns' hands are in a different position (the realtor put already down the papers, but now he still has to, and Brown moved the hand away from the railing but it's back fully on it).
