Question: What's the instrumental acoustic song that's played on the main menu of the DVD and also at various points throughout the movie? I believe it plays when they're showing on-the-ground reactions to the planes hitting. It's quite a slow, depressing song.
Answer: It's an acoustic instrumental version of 'The Nobodies' by Marilyn Manson.
Question: Why in the world would Lothar's tether be long enough for him to slam into the gondola at the bottom of the Zepplin? If the Hindenberg is 135 feet at it's widest point, half the circumference of a cross section is ~212 feet. Even if it was a Goodyear blimp (50 feet), the cable would have to be at least ~78 feet in length. That is really long. Also, what is Lothar made of to survive that kind of impact?
Answer: The tether was designed to allow Lothar to be lowered from the zepellin and recovered later without requiring it to land (very tricky for an airship) hence it was hundreds of feet long.
Question: In the beginning, during the Paramount Pictures logo, we softly hear a female voice singing a short, creepy tune. This sounds a lot like something I heard in a black-and-white horror film from the 50's, but I'm not sure which. It sounds like something from the original "House on Haunted Hill" or "13 Ghosts" or one of those other horror "classics." Does anyone know if this was intentional or if it was just a coincidence?
Answer: The voice is just a few notes from the opening song with the littlest elf sung in a really high pitch.
Question: Who plays the mannequin during the title sequence?
Answer: It's a computer graphic.
Question: When Nicholas and Mr. Squeers arrive at the school, Nicholas asks, "Is this Dotheboys Hall?" and Squeers replies something I can't understand, followed by, "We call it that in London because it sounds better." Anyone know what he says?
Chosen answer: Squeers says, "No need to call it a hall up here" and then he says "We call it that in London because it sounds better."
Question: What are the sound effects to produce the "strange in scary sound" in Lardass' stomach before he pukes for the first time?
Answer: A cello.
Question: In the scene where Sarah is in the bathroom during the time when her three other covenmates are torturing her, she walks by what looks like a paper towel dispenser kind of high up on the wall that has some writing on it. What do those letters mean?
Chosen answer: It says "Gustav Klimt", the name of an artist in the 1800s, and the paper towel dispenser is actually one of his prints. In the shot where Robin Tunney is walking out of the shower, you can see the bottom of the painting, although the full piece is never visable.
Question: When Bond first enters Zukovsky's casino, there's a tune playing on a saxophone in the background. Can anyone make out what tune it is? It sounds really familiar.
Answer: It's a variation on the "standard" James Bond theme.
Question: Two songs were playing in Sebastian's car. One song as noticed twice was 'Power Struggle'. He was listening to another song later on in the movie. What was the name of this song and who plays it?
Answer: The song is Charlie Big Potato by Skunk Anansie. Very good song when played very loud.
Question: What is the budget of season 3?
Answer: According to Amazon.com, $35 million.
Question: Question about the Director's Cut of the film. The scene where Brett is looking for Jones has been altered slightly - when he looks up at where the water is dripping from, you can actually see the Alien hanging motionlessly from one of the chains. Has Ridley Scott given an explanation as to why he added this new dynamic to the scene? It's easy enough to speculate why, but a link to an 'official' explanation would be appreciated.
Answer: According to the commentary on the DVD, Ridley didn't add this scene to the original cinematic release because he thought it revealed the true horror of the Alien too soon in the film. The scene is quite early in the film and he thought revealing the fully matured Alien at that time would reduce the viewer's fear.
I had watched Alien several times before I noticed the Alien hanging there.At this point the Audience have no idea what the Alien looks like, they're looking at pieces of science fiction equipment put in by the production crew that they can't relate to, so for all they know the Alien could just be a piece of kit hanging there.
Question: Possible plot hole: Why did Claire take and hide the last 4 Kestrel messages?
Chosen answer: This is not a mystery. Claire "stole them to read them" as Tom Jericho told Hester. As he later explained to Wigram, she had taken the messages to give to Puck who had the means to decipher them, and who was looking for his missing brother. The Kestrel traffic from ADU contained the names of victims of the Katyn Massacre. However, Puck and Claire were surprised by the imminent reappearance of Tom, and suddenly fled, explaining why some messages were left behind.
Question: At about 20 minutes into this film, Jean-Claude Van Damme remembers a beautiful young brunette, with a cleft chin, with two small children, paying him to take them out of the city. He later develops some relationship with her and dreams about her twice. What is the actress' name? I have never heard her character's name while watching the movie, and half of the actresses listed in the credits aren't shown in Google or elsewhere. This actress is not to be confused with Deborah Richter, the Cyborg, or JCVD's blonde side kick.
Chosen answer: Wasn't her character's name Mary? if so her real name is Terrie Batson.
Question: What is the name of the soldier that's sketching while in the barracks (and which one is he during the raid?)? I never could catch the name, and it's not in the subtitles.
Answer: Master Sgt. Tim 'Griz' Martin, played by Canadian actor Kim Coates. He's also the Delta taping his blood type to his boot. During the raid, he's thrown from a Humvee by a RPG. He loses both his legs and bleeds to Death. His name in the movie is Chris Wex.
Why is his name Wex, tho? He plays Griz Martin.
Likely (though I have no proof) that his family chose not to participate by allowing his name/likeness?
Question: In the credits, T. Hawk is listed, I didn't see him anywhere, who is he?
Answer: When Guile storms Shadaloo headquarters with the stealth boat, he is accompanied by Cammy and a hugely modified (in terms of character) T-Hawk. At one point Guile asks about T-Hawk's headband. Being an aid to Guile, T-Hawk is in other scenes, but these are the most obvious.
Question: What's the point of the whole "Aloe Vera" thing when they're buying the vans? I mean, why would they so desperately need to save a few hundred dollars in such a complex and expensive scheme? They made sure that the dealer would remember those guys that bought two white vans just days prior to the robbery. One would assume that they would want to keep a low profile. Not to mention, I doubt that a car dealer would lower the price just because the guy squeezes his hand.
Answer: It was not to lower the price (although that was a fringe benefit), but rather to intimidate the dealer into letting them pay cash for the vans. Hence, no trace. It was not the hand-squeezing that convinced the dealer, it was the tacit promise of further discomfort if he did not give them a "better deal."
Question: What was with the dear attacking Rachel's car? Was is something to do with the pile of antlers in the Morgan's basement? If it was, why were the dear attacking HER?
Answer: The deer were attacking the car because Aiden was in the car. Aiden was possed by Samara at the time and Samara makes animals go crazy.
Question: In the animated series Ra's Al Ghul's name is pronounced "Raishe" rhyming with race. In this movie it's pronounced "Raaz". Why the change?
Answer: "Rahz" or "Raaz" is how the name is pronounced in Arabic. The pronounciation in the animated series was purposfully done to shun the notion of Ra's being Arabic (having a terrorist be Arabic could cause problems for a children's cartoon.)

Answer: This is a Chinese axe called a Pudao or a Guan Dao. It's made of a broadsword, but has a much longer handle - about four to six feet. Also known as the 'Horse-Cutter'.
