Character mistake: When Dixie tells Gail to set up in treatment 1, Brackett tells them they can't use treatment 1 because they have a skull fracture coming in, then Brackett and Early head down the hallway to treatment 1, and that skull fracture, Skyle Tyler, has already been lying there being examined by Morton.

Other mistake: When Johnny contacts Rampart about the elderly man who was under a fallen bookcase, the fourth button (out of five) is depressed to record the conversation on the tape machine. However, in episode 2x5, "Peace Pipe", Brackett presses the third and fifth, when Squad 51 is at the scene of the drunk driver's accident, and in 2x10, "Dinner Date", Dixie presses the second button to record, when Squad 51 is with the little girl whose arm is stuck in the pool drain.

Other mistake: During the structure fire at the Atlas Hotel, when Roy and John are with the unconscious man being given proper CPR by civilians, it is too painfully apparent that the man giving rescue breaths is just leaning over the man's face, nowhere near the victim's mouth, particularly after Marco and Chet drop off the stokes.

Continuity mistake: When Squad 51 and then Engine 51 are dispatched to the hotel fire, before going in Johnny's SCBA cylinder has a large arrow sticker and Roy's has a large red sticker, but once inside Roy's air cylinder goes back and forth from having an arrow sticker to the red sticker. Then in a few moments, when Marco and Chet go in with the stokes, both of their air cylinders are tall, flat-top and devoid of stickers, but inside their SCBA cylinders are short, round-top and keep switching from having either an arrow or large red stickers.

Visible crew/equipment: After Roy and Johnny have listened to Brackett's tape of 110's rescue, when they get to the squad the outline of the lavalier mic transmitter is visible on the back, right side of Johnny's shirt, as he stores some things in the squad.

Trivia: You just have to see this to believe it. When Roy and Johnny walk into Brackett's office with him, to listen to the tape of 110's rescue, as soon as they stand around the desk, while Brackett is talking, Johnny puts his hand around a golden smallish object on Brackett's desk, pulls it close to him, palms the item and very quickly stashes it in his klepto pocket. Randolph Mantooth pulled off a beauty here without breaking character, and no retake of the scene. So enjoyable to watch. (00:08:55)

Revealing mistake: After Brackett has played the tape of 110's rescue for Roy and Johnny, when they get into the squad, the usually highly reflective chrome surface of the driver's side spotlight has been sprayed with a 'dulling spray', to temporarily dull the finish for this shot.

Visible crew/equipment: After Roy and Johnny give a CPR demonstration at the ladies' club, when one of the women thanks the paramedics, the outline of the lav mic transmitter is visible on the back of Roy's shirt.

Other mistake: After Roy tells Captain Stanley, over the HT, that he and Johnny may have found something in the flooding storm drain, Captain Stanley uses his HT to contact Marco and Chet (who are driving Squad 51 while John and Roy are down below), and says "Squad 51, Engine 51..," but the subtitles read, "Car 51, Engine 51..." Other mistake: At the start of shift, after Roy digs into Johnny for calling Joanne, Station 51 is dispatched to the children lost in the flooding storm drain and time out is 08:32. Then at the scene, the officer says that they got a report about two missing boys two hours earlier, and that a witness saw teenagers pull up the manhole cover just before noon, and another witnessed the two boys playing around the open manhole. So what time is it supposed to be - early in the morning or some time in the afternoon? The times just don't sync.

Continuity mistake: After Johnny has gotten Sheba off the roof, he and Roy stand by ladder as Sheba takes off after the cat again, and in the shot of the dog running across the roof Roy and Johnny are gone - the ladder stands alone, but in the next shot the paramedics are by the ladder again. Also note that the door behind the ladder is alternately closed or open, depending on the shot.

Visible crew/equipment: When Johnny climbs the ladder and then picks up Sheba to carry her off the roof, the outline of the mic transmitter is visible on the back of his shirt. Additionally, as he's lifting Sheba the big dog pushes up against the front of Johnny's shirt, and we hear the crackling noises that were picked up on Johnny's hidden mic.

Continuity mistake: When Roy and John are in the apparatus bay talking about Joanne, just after Roy walks away, Boot steals the armboard splint package with the writing facing up in his mouth, but when Boot hides under the squad the reverse side is up in his mouth.

Continuity mistake: When Johnny and Roy have to go in search of the two boys lost in the storm drain, the air cylinder that Johnny grabs from the squad has two large red stickers, but when Roy and Johnny climb down below, Johnny's air cylinder has changed - both of their tanks now have the large arrow stickers.

Visible crew/equipment: In the waiting room, when Dixie brings the couple with the sick little boy (lead poisoning) to the admitting desk, we can see the small tape mark on the floor behind them, where they had just been standing.

However, in this episode when Dixie gets on the line with Johnny, while he's with the little girl whose arm is stuck in the pool drain, Dixie presses only one button - the second, to record the conversation.

Continuity mistake: When Johnny and Roy are standing by the squad outside Rampart, talking about the man in a hepatic coma, both ER doors are wide open, but when the woman drives up and then shouts that she needs help both doors are closed, and this continues a few times depending on the angle of the shot.

Audio problem: After helping the guy who was trapped in his sofa bed, Christy, Roy, and Johnny get back into the squad, and then we hear Johnny tell the dispatcher that Squad 51 is returning to quarters, but we see that Johnny's not actually saying anything.
