Visible crew/equipment: When Colonel Potter surprises everybody with his "little Olympics" idea in the mess tent, after Margaret comments, "I just know I'm not going to have anything left for Donald," at the start of the next shot the boom mic casts a very quick moving shadow on BJ.

Visible crew/equipment: While Colonel Potter has everyone gathered in the mess tent to surprise them with his "little Olympics" idea, the studio soundstage is visible at the top, left side of the screen.

Trivia: While Hawkeye, Radar, and BJ are in General Dickering's jeep, when they meet up with some GIs on the road Hawkeye asks them, "Anybody here from Maine?" and one answers that he's from Vermont, to which Hawkeye responds, "Close, but no cigar." What's funny is that earlier in the series Hawkeye has said that he's from Vermont not Maine.

Greatest Rescues of Emergency - S7-E5
Other mistake: After getting their promotions, Roy and Johnny start recalling their history together and when Johnny remembers joining the paramedic program he says he was at 8's, but Johnny was at 10's and it even shows the clip from the show's pilot where Johnny's standing behind Engine 10 talking with his Battalion Chief. The filming of the show's Station 10 was done at the real Station 8. As an aside, the real Station 8 was also seen in the 1950's TV show Rescue 8.

Continuity mistake: After Radar leaves the message with Stevens for Hawkeye's friend on the Essex, it cuts to Klinger removing a nut from the jeep and he's holding the wrench with his thumb at the top, but next shot he's holding the wrench the opposite way.

Other mistake: When Hawkeye finds the New York Times Crossword he says, "1 down, four letters..." and "1 across...four letters..." and BJ's answers are "chap" and "cast" but in the shot of the newspaper puzzle we see that both "1 down" and "1 across" are actually five letters each, not four.

My Fair Ernest T. Bass - S4-E17
Other mistake: Barney says, "I brought the car to drive you over to Mrs. Wiley's," but later when Andy, Barney, Ernest T., and Ramona leave Mrs. Wiley's we see that they're at the house that's actually next door to Andy - though to hide this fact there's a station wagon in the driveway, and they've removed the trellis beside the door.

My Fair Ernest T. Bass - S4-E17
Revealing mistake: At the start, when Ernest T. throws the rock at Mrs. Wiley's window and it breaks, the area around the hole flutters in the breeze - it's obviously not a glass window used for the stunt.
18th Nov 2015
Other mistake: The safety goggles Barney wears is missing both of its lenses. While it's possible that Barney may wear the goggles just for the look, that possibility is negated when Barney states, "Every piece of equipment and wardrobe has a specific function: helmet - anti-crash; goggles - anti-foreign objects in eyes, that is gravel and/or bugs."

Opie's Ill-Gotten Gain - S4-E8
Continuity mistake: Andy reads the inside cover of Barney's old schoolbook which has Barney's name "Bernard P. Fife" written out many times in it, but in two previous episodes Barney's middle name is either Oliver or Milton.

Opie's Ill-Gotten Gain - S4-E8
Continuity mistake: When Opie's surprised by the bike, his first closeup is a flipped shot - note the bell's on the wrong side of the handlebar, etc.

Ernest T. Bass Joins the Army - S4-E3
Visible crew/equipment: When the two men are carrying the window pane past Barney and Andy, we can see the reflection of a few crew members' legs.

Ernest T. Bass Joins the Army - S4-E3
Revealing mistake: When Barney picks Andy up and they get back to the courthouse, they find Ernest T out of the jail cell again and breaking more windows, and in the shot of Ernest T leaping in the air we see it's actually a flipped shot - note the backwards "snack bar" in the window (that store is later when Ernest T tries to break the new glass for the courthouse).

Visible crew/equipment: After Barney brings the "Fun Girls" to Andy's house, when Aunt Bee walks into the parlor there are now three black tape marks visible on the carpet - and those marks weren't there when Barney and the women walked in.
18th Nov 2015
Continuity mistake: At the start, Opie and his friend rush to the front door of the same house to try and sell their products - note the house next door (and the fact that it's three houses down from Andy). The kids then run across the street and have the door slammed in their faces, but then it cuts to the woman next door as she walks to her front door - note the house behind her is that first house Opie went to, even though all the boys just crossed the street a few moments ago.
18th Nov 2015
Visible crew/equipment: At the end, when Barney's talking to all the boys at the courthouse, the camera angle's looking up in Barney's closeups, and the top of the courthouse set is visible right before Barney mentions "intimidation."

Trivia: When Gomer and Barney are waiting at the Miracle Salve Co. Office, Barney speaks in a nasally high pitch voice. When Gomer asks Barney what's the matter with his voice, Barney explains that he's been talking like that as a disguise, to which Gomer asks, "How do you do that? I wish I could do my voice like that!" Jim Nabors does precisely that for his role as Gomer.

My Fair Ernest T. Bass - S4-E17
Trivia: At different points during this episode both Barney and Andy make the exact same comment, "If you wrote this into a play nobody'd believe it." This episode is based on My Fair Lady, which in turn is based on Pygmalion.
18th Nov 2015
Continuity mistake: In this episode, during the scenes at Thelma Lou's house the front door is right beside a wall perpendicular to it, but in earlier and later episodes the front door is beside the dining room at the opposite side of the parlor.
