Visible crew/equipment: When Klinger's at Little Chicago he asks one of the black market vendors about cameras and he points to another vendor, and when it cuts to the next shot we can see the actor's T-mark on the ground where the man walks away (his foot even moves the T-mark) and Klinger is about to stand.

Visible crew/equipment: While Major Burnham watches everyone at work in the OR, just as Charles says, "If you'd care to step over here, Major," the boom mic dips into view at the top left side of the screen.

Visible crew/equipment: When the nurse tells BJ that they're having a problem with Rice using his sales pitch in post-op, just as the nurse and BJ start walking over to Rice we can see the curved chalk foot mark on the floor.

Continuity mistake: While Colonel Potter is painting the portrait of Charles, the portable military field desks behind Potter are all open - note the front doors are flipped down, but in the closeup of Charles holding the painting of himself the doors are folded up. And the books, etc. atop the field desks change as well.

Continuity mistake: While Charles is reading the letter about his nephew being discharged because of fainting spells, Klinger feigns a fainting spell falling forward onto Hawkeye's cot, and his body lies lopsided with his leg hanging off, but when it cuts to the next shot Klinger's perfectly positioned on the cot. Also, note the mail Klinger tossed earlier onto Hawkeye's cot, near his pillow, is now neatly tucked under the blanket towards the foot of the cot.

Continuity mistake: While Charles, BJ, and Hawkeye are in the Officers' Club, when Margaret storms in and starts yelling at Charles about the visiting pervert Colonel, Charles facepalms himself with his right hand, but next shot his left hand is up, and it continues to switch.

Visible crew/equipment: When Marina arrives in the chopper with the wounded, the array lighting rig is reflected on the chopper's windshield.

Factual error: When Klinger's walking with Captain Allen and the Stars and Stripes photographer, just before their introductions to "Ben" they pass an empty corrugated box with its flap open, and the recycling symbol can be seen on the flap. Recycling symbols were not in use until about 20 years later.

Continuity mistake: While BJ, Hawkeye, and Margaret are in the OR, BJ has the stethoscope either around his neck or the eartips are in his ears, depending on the angle of the consecutive shots.

Visible crew/equipment: After Charles confronts Choi Sung Ho about the candy, Ho explains that he sold it on the black market to buy real food, and when Ho reenters the mess tent through the side door, we can see that outside there's a director's chair, which actors also use, with something printed on its back.

Continuity mistake: There are two sets of the 4077 compound - the outside Fox Ranch set located at Malibu Creek State Park, and the second set inside the studio's Stage 9. The layout of both sets are quite different - Studio 9's set was vastly smaller than the Ranch set, so things such as the proximity of the Swamp to the mess tent are different between the shots filmed at the Ranch and shots filmed at Studio 9, when seen within the very same episodes.

Visible crew/equipment: While Hoops Potter is going for the camp record in free throws, in overhead shots with everyone encircling the 'basketball court' - particularly right after free throw 28 and after Potter says that he feels like a sideshow freak, the boom can be seen moving around right beside the hoop's post at the top, left side of the screen.

Visible crew/equipment: While Hawkeye, BJ, and Charles are in the Swamp reading the letters, when BJ says, "Leave it to Charles to be the world's first poison pen-pal," the shadow of the boom mic can be seen moving around at the top right corner of the screen.

Visible crew/equipment: While BJ, Hawkeye, and Charles are in the Swamp, when BJ starts reading the letter from the child who thinks the army is like camping out Charles takes that letter away from BJ, and just as Charles is about to sit back down the edge of the Swamp set can be seen at the top right corner of the screen.

Visible crew/equipment: When Colonel Potter and Charles exit the mess tent carrying the trays, so they can serve breakfast in bed to the winners, they split up and as Charles walks to the Swamp saying, "What a shame to have wasted all these years as a doctor," we have a great view of the boom and boom mic at the left side of the screen as it moves backwards away from Charles, outside the Swamp.

Visible crew/equipment: When they're all in the OR talking about Aggie being at the 4077, Charles compares Colonel Potter's art style to Aggie's, and in the next shot as Potter tells the art critic to tread softly, the boom mic is visible at the top, right side of the screen and just as the mic starts to pull up the shot zooms in on Aggie.

Visible crew/equipment: When BJ's in Margaret's tent talking to Aggie about feeling like a prisoner of war, just as he says, "I work because of the war," the boom mic dips into view at the top of the screen.

Visible crew/equipment: After Klinger gives the envelope with the forged discharge papers to the driver going to I Corps, just as he walks through the doorway we can see the two actors' tape marks on the ground, where the driver and Sidney were standing when they arrived.
