Continuity mistake: Stan asks Cheryl, "Describe your perfect date," and on stage to Cheryl's left are Miss Wisconsin, Connecticut, Indiana and Illinois. Yet after Gracie turns away, in the wide shot there are another two contestants with the original four to Gracie's left. Also in this wide shot, behind Stan and Cheryl there are contestants lined up in front of the shrubbery, but in the previous close-up as she answers the question, there are no contestants behind them. All are idle onstage during the interviewing. (01:05:40)

Audio problem: Before Gracie's self defense talent performance, she's standing with Vic and Matthews. The Pageant Matron sticks her face between the curtains and in the close-up says, "Oh here you are, you're up next." In the next wide shot we hear her continue to say, "New Jersey," however looking at her lips she's really saying, "You're up next," once again. (01:28:20)

Continuity mistake: In the overhead aerial shot, as last year's Miss United States walks onstage with the tiara on the pillow, the tiara is in the center of the pillow near her body. In the next close-up, the tiara is now angled and in a completely different position on the pillow. In the next shot it's in the same position as the first shot. (01:38:30)

Continuity mistake: In the first shot as Stan says, "Our new Miss United States is..." Miss Nebraska is between Miss California and Miss Texas. In the second shot as Stan continues, "Rhode Island's Cheryl Frasier," Miss California is in the middle of the other two. Then as Gracie is being pulled away, Miss Nebraska is in the middle again. Continuity mistake: When trying to retrieve the audio feed into Gracie's earpiece, in the first shot Clonsky has the female connector in his right hand and male connector in his left hand and puts them together. Continuity mistake: During the orientation breakfast while sitting at the table, in the close-up Miss Hawaii asks, "Did it sound like I was finished?" and her hair is behind her shoulders. Continuity mistake: While performing the water glasses Gracie says, "He's definitely the shooter." The next close-up of gun man shows him standing to the left of yellow shirt man, right in front of the display easel, with a particular crowd around them. Gun man's next shot now shows him behind yellow shirt man and no display easel anywhere. His next shot, once again he's to the left of yellow shirt man, in front of the display easel and a man with a stetson and a dark blue denim shirt sits there. Next shot, the display easel and denim shirt man are gone. In the next side wide shots, the display easel is back. (00:53:55)

Continuity mistake: As soon as Aragorn walks into Theoden's tent, behind him stands a suit of armour. While speaking with Elrond about the Army of the Dead, there is a sudden gust of wind and the armour falls in the background in this one shot. Throughout the entire scene preceding and following this one shot, this armour is seen upright. (01:17:20)

Audio problem: When Gracie discovers that the contestants 'drank her talent', she licks her finger and runs it on the glass making the first note, but there is another note heard when she has her finger at her mouth again to lick it. (01:28:30)

Continuity mistake: At the airport, in the shot from inside the car, Vic, Matthews and Clonsky take their luggage out of the back. One button is closed on Vic's blazer, Matthews has the black duffel in his right hand and the suitcase in his left hand and Clonsky has the blue duffel in his left hand and two other pieces of luggage in his right hand. Yet in the next shot from outside the car, there are now two buttons closed on Vic's blazer, Matthews' luggage switched hands and Clonsky's blue duffel is now in his right hand with one of the pieces of luggage. Revealing mistake: During the Miss United States Pageant, there are close-up shots of the audience and it is very obvious that in the balcony and back part of the audience, especially when seeing the 'men' with bow ties, they are fake - mostly cardboard cut outs. (01:22:50)

Continuity mistake: As Gracie speeds towards Starbucks, we see an the aerial shot of the intersection. There is a large white truck at the corner and there are three yellow taxi cabs waiting at the red light. As the car spins into the U-turn, in these shots there is no white truck, but there is a service truck with a cherry picker at the corner. Then in the close-up of Gracie getting out of the car, there are no yellow cabs, instead there are one brown and two white cars waiting at the still unchanged red light. (00:10:05)

Revealing mistake: When Gracie is speeding towards Starbucks in Manhattan, before she crosses the intersection to make the U-turn, an aerial view of the block in the background is seen. The parked cars are spaced with small islands in between and are parked perpendicularly to the sidewalks. These shots are very obviously not taken in Manhattan, but rather in Austin. (00:10:05)

Trivia: At the preliminaries, Stan asks of Miss Rhode Island, "Describe your perfect date" and Cheryl answers oddly, "April 25th." Marc Lawrence the screenwriter says in the DVD commentary that it's an actual answer given by a contestant in a pageant, that he found in research for the film. (01:05:40)

Continuity mistake: After Cheryl's fire batons performance she runs off stage and hugs Gracie. In the first shot while hugging, she's holding her batons in her left hand, and she puts her right hand up to her mouth. However, in the subsequent shot Cheryl's left hand is near her mouth, and she's holding her batons in her right hand. (01:27:40)

Revealing mistake: Kathy Morningside sits at her desk, puts on her tiara and recalls her own pageant win. Her hair is short, reaching the collar of her jacket and her earrings the same length as her hair. When Frank walks into the room, she shows him the other fake terrorist letters and her hair is now much longer. This was obviously shot later in pickups. (01:15:45)

In the shots facing the monitors, the equipment near the small monitor sits higher than that monitor and there is no equipment on the TV. Continuity mistake: At the orientation breakfast as Cheryl says, "I got here three days early," we see a seated Miss Ohio stand up and go hug another contestant. Yet in the next shot, a view on the agents' monitor from Gracie's flag cam shows Miss Ohio staying seated while she hugs the other contestant. (00:38:30)

Continuity mistake: Gracie and Cheryl are at the doorway of the dining hall for the orientation breakfast, and Cheryl says, "Oh look, there's our table," and seen behind them are Miss New Mexico, Miss Utah and Miss Maryland who haven't entered the dining hall. Yet in the next shot showing the dining hall, those three contestants are standing by the podium at the other end of the room, as Gracie and Cheryl enter. (00:38:20)
