Continuity mistake: When the Darkness attacks during Camryn's birthday party, Ileana and Camryn run up the stairs, and as they enter the bedroom the drawing of Thantos that Camryn holds is undamaged. When the Darkness takes Ileana, Camryn stands beside her closet across the room and in the next shot the drawing she holds has burnt edges, though the Darkness was never near her or the drawing.

Trivia: In the film, Pollyanna shows Reverend Ford (when he practices his fired up sermon in the field) the locket with the quotation "When you look for the bad in mankind expecting to find it, you surely will," inscribed upon it and then credits the adage to Abraham Lincoln. Seeing an opportunity, Roy Disney, Walt's brother and Disney Studio CEO, had thousands of promotional lockets with those inscribed words (duplicates of Pollyanna's charm bracelet as well) produced and sent to gift shops. By a stroke of luck, while on a family trip to Disneyland, the screenwriter/director, David Swift, happened to notice the locket copies in one of the Disney gift shops and contacted Roy at the Disney Studio and told him to recall all the lockets straight away, because he deliberately fabricated the quote for the film - Abraham Lincoln never said it.

Continuity mistake: After Thantos is driven out and Miranda returns, just as Ileana and Karsh argue about Karsh's crankiness, Miranda is not wearing her necklace, but it suddenly reappears in the next overhead shot, as she hugs the twins. (01:22:35)

Continuity mistake: After the twins enter the car wash, in the first shot when Gabriella walks through the vertical black cloth strips, with squeegee in hand, she is wearing the large hoop earrings. When it cuts to the next shot, as she shouts, "Bri?," her earrings are suddenly gone. This occurs before Brianna climbs onto Gabriella's shoulders. (01:04:00)

Next shot facing the crowd, when Coach steps up to the stage, Austin's father is gone - his seat is empty, but a couple of shots later Mr. Ames is still there. Next shot facing Dumbledore, we see the last seven students at that side of the table and not only are the Weasleys gone, but other students differ as well. This is also seen in additional shots. Continuity mistake: After Fulton gives the group their staff assignments in the kitchen, during "Work This Out" there are table order tickets hanging over the grill and fry stations. In some consecutive shots the amount goes from three to one, to three, to one, back to three, etc. (00:22:50)

Continuity mistake: After exiting the helicopter, when Mr. Evans is walking towards his family in the shot facing him, his golf club is in his left hand and swung over his left shoulder. Next close-up from behind, his club is in his right hand and over his right shoulder. (00:34:25)

Continuity mistake: When Mr. Evans shows up in the helicopter, its blades are still spinning at a fast clip when he exits in the close-up. Problem is, the blades are not creating the distinct whirling shadow (nor is there any wind caused by the blades) on the surface of the red chopper, that we see in the two wideshots. (00:34:10)

Continuity mistake: During "All For One" at the pool party, mid-song the six singers split up into two groups of three - two girls and a boy and two boys and a girl; Sharpay, Troy and Chad walking down to their right (viewer's left) and Ryan, Gabriella and Taylor walking down to their left (viewer's right). Next shot, still singing and walking down, the three girls are walking to their left and the three boys are walking to their right. (01:46:20)
