Revealing mistake: When Troy crouches down on the rocks, and leans down to see his reflection in the water, oddly the reflection is not reversed, yet his hair is combed the opposite way. (Did the director actually think that if Troy's hair was combed the opposite way it would pass as a reversed reflection?) Additionally, when he crouches down, the bottom button on Troy's shirt is unbuttoned, but in the reflection (as well as in the previous and following shots) the bottom button is buttoned up.

Continuity mistake: The binoculars in Ryan's right hand disappears and reappears after the sprinklers have been turned on, when he and Sharpay spy on Gabriella and Troy. (00:27:15)

Continuity mistake: In the Lava Springs kitchen, Kelsi holds up a dish towel, when they sing, "Maybe there's a better way to fix this greasy mess," and she drops the towel. The towel repeatedly moves around from the cart's bottom shelf, to the floor and disappears repeatedly throughout the scene. (00:22:25)

Continuity mistake: At the playground, when Dudley and Harry have a confrontation, Dudley wears black shorts with large white designs of words and numbers. When Dudley and Harry enter the tunnel and then later, when yumpy Dudley is in his house, Dudley's shorts have completely different designs (though it is the same type of shorts). Revealing mistake: In the Forbidden Forest, HRH are introduced to Grawp. Just as the giant lifts Hermione off the ground, in the shot from behind her, Hermione's legs disappear below her calves; the digital lines are actually visible. Slow-mo is not necessary. Continuity mistake: There are two scenes during which Harry is shown having visions of the Dept of Mysteries while he is asleep. The first scene occurs after Harry's confrontation with Seamus in the Gryffindor common room. There are shots of Harry lying in bed wearing a short sleeve, crew neck tee shirt, but when he is startled awake by the vision of Voldemort, he sits up wearing a buttoned henley tee. The next day is the first day of Defence Against the Dark Arts class with Umbridge. That last shot of Harry in the henley tee shirt was cut from a later scene. Later in the film, when Harry has the vision of Arthur Weasley's attack, he is wearing the henley tee shirt. (00:34:00 - 01:09:35)

Continuity mistake: After Harry's vision of Arthur Weasley's attack, he has the first Occlumency lesson with Snape. The windows behind Harry have a diamond shape pattern, with horizontal and vertical divisions on the glass. In the last shot, as Snape orders Harry to focus, when the camera dramatically pans out through these windows there is only a diamond shape pattern on the glass. (01:09:45 - 01:10:50)

Continuity mistake: When Justin disrupts Taylor's play, just as Gil feels the roller coaster ride, there's a shot of the stage and most of the set is already knocked over. When Gil's ride stops more of the set is intact and then topples again and again. (01:54:20)

Continuity mistake: At the start of Kevin's party, the horse seen giving a child a ride has a small white mark on his face, between the eyes. When Cowboy Gil rides the horse he now has a long, broad white mark down his face.

Revealing mistake: When Nathan walks into the classroom singing, the center sliding glass door on the back bookcase is closed in the initial overhead long shot, but in the tracking shots that door has been pushed to the side, so as not to see the reflection of the camera/crew as Nathan walks up the aisle following the camera.
