Continuity mistake: When Bobby B. walks with Ron and Sam to the main used lot, where Bumblebee and the VW Beetle are located, most of the cars opposite Bumblebee and to its side actually change make, color, etc., from the time Ron makes the U-turn, to when all the windows shatter and shots between. Examples are: there is a camper parked in the fifth space which changes to a car; the yellow hatchback behind Sam when he opens the car door changes to a light blue car; and the two blue cars (one with a spoiler) parked beside Jaime, the ostrich, which change to a dark car and yellow hatchback. Continuity mistake: When Ron and Sam, followed by Bumblebee, make the U-turn in front of Bobby B's and then park, the spinning 'Bobby B. sez...let's talk deals' sign is to the left of the three vintage gas pumps, near the clown. When Bobby B. puts his arm around Sam's shoulder and says, "Sam, your first enchilada of freedom..." the spinning sign is now on the other side of the pumps, where there wasn't a spinning sign previously. Continuity mistake: When Ron and Sam park in front of Bobby B's, there are three cars parked in front of the three pumps - a white vinyl top, a wagon, and a red car. When Sam says, "You said half a car, not half a piece of crap, Dad," the red car has been replaced with an old blue Plymouth, specifically for the "50-year-old virgin" joke, because the red car is back in following shots. Continuity mistake: In class for his genealogy report, when Sam begins to dump his great-great-grandfather's belongings onto the desk, while the backpack is upside-down it turns around from front to back, between the wideshot and next close-up. (00:08:55)

Continuity mistake: The second time Russ Cargill spreads out the five options on the President's desk, the name bar with 'President Schwarzenegger' on it vanishes and reappears on the desk twice. The spread of the files also inverts between shots. (00:50:40)

Continuity mistake: When Bart is having target practice on Homer, who is carrying bricks, the timer lying on the grass goes off. When Homer walks over to Bart to give him the dare, the timer is gone, though it should be visible. (00:11:20)

Continuity mistake: When Maggie does her disappearing act through the sinkhole, and Marge rushes to get Homer, the wooden porch swing is directly in front of the window, with its top beam as high as the top of the window. When Homer says, "This dome can play tricks on you," note the door and window behind Marge, because the swing is now gone. (00:31:10)

Continuity mistake: When Russ Cargill spreads the five unthinkable options on the President's desk, the book's spines are all facing to the left, but after the President chooses option three, in the close-up the spines are facing to the right. (00:26:40)

Continuity mistake: When Homer shows up in the car as Bart is cuffed to the sign post, by the time Homer gives Bart the clothing the car moves up and back, and then when Homer kneels in front of Bart the car's back end is not visible, though it should be. (00:13:20)

Continuity mistake: When a naked Bart is cuffed to the sign post, beyond the grass behind him is concrete walkway then the curb. Then when Homer steps out of the car, the grass goes right up to the curb's edge, but when Bart asks about pants, the walkway is back again between the grass and curb. (00:13:05)

Continuity mistake: During the Green Day concert, the lyric displaying teleprompter sits onstage beside the mic stand, but then disappears, reappears and disappears again by the time the barge sinks. (00:03:10)

Continuity mistake: When Homer circles the dome on the bike, in the first two shots (close-up and wideshot) Homer's left hand is gripping Bart's left wrist, but in all of the following shots it is Homer's right hand that is gripping Bart's left wrist. (01:12:50)

Continuity mistake: After Sam knocks Mikaela off her moped, they are both on the ground right beside the moped when Bumblebee shows up, but in the overhead shot as Sam helps Mikaela up the moped is gone, not moved, just gone. (00:51:15)

Continuity mistake: When Sam's parents begin knocking on his bedroom door, Prime says, "Ratchet, point the light," and nothing is on the bathroom windowsill, but when Ron is searches Sam's bathroom with the flashlight there are two small overturned flower pots lying on that windowsill. The flower pots are gone again when Ironhide asks, "The parents are very irritating, can I take them out? (01:14:05)

Continuity mistake: When Prime lifts Mikaela up to Sam's bathroom window, there are two baseballs in acrylic display cases and another object (looks like a vintage camera) on the windowsill (beside the tub). Then when Sam runs to that window and sees the Autobots parked as if it were a "truckstop", all those items disappear and are replaced by two small overturned flowers pots. (01:11:55)

Continuity mistake: When Ron (holding a flashlight and lantern) is looking through Sam's bathroom window, saying, "Judy, better call the city. We got a blown transformer...," there is no windowbox under that window, which was there earlier. Yet when Prime says "Ironhide, you know we don't harm humans! What is with you?" the rather large windowbox full of flowers is back up under that bathroom window. (01:15:50)

Continuity mistake: Just as Mikaela comes to the rescue with the reciprocating saw, when she holds the saw up in front of her face just before she starts to hack away at Frenzy, the saw's blade clamp assembly is about 8-9 inches. After Sam kicks Frenzy, the saw on Mikaela's shoulder has a different configuration with a shorter blade clamp assembly unit. The blade differs as well. (00:54:25)
