Three things occur in this shot: we see the shadows of the camera/mic move across the floor, a chalk mark becomes visible on the floor (where Billie Jo will soon stand), and we hear someone say, "Higgins," which is Dog's real name.

Then, in the next wide shot, there are two chalk T-marks on the floor (it's not for the dog play), one where Linda Henning stands and one where she will stand in a moment.

Continuity mistake: At Freddie's speakeasy, when Laura lifts Barney's script from the table, she begins to fan herself. In the wide shot, the script's titled top page with corner diagonal stripes is gripped under Laura's four fingers, with the blank back page at her thumb. It cuts to a close-up, and now the script is gripped in Laura's hand the opposite way, with the top page at her thumb (the back page is blank).

Continuity mistake: At the end, when Rachel and Ross leave for the hospital, Rachel grabs the keys. In the close-up, when Rachel asks, "Do you think we have time?" she holds the keys up in her left hand while Ross holds her empty right hand. It then cuts to a medium shot, and the keys are now in Rachel's right hand, the same hand Ross holds. (00:20:40)

Continuity mistake: When Mrs. Hallet goes to retrieve the rubber seals from the cellar, she opens the trap door and the diagonal wood creates "Z" bracing; but in the next shot, as Hallet heads down the stairs, the diagonal wood cross brace is now attached to the door in the opposite direction, making a backwards "Z" bracing.
