Visible crew/equipment: After Opie tells Ellie everything that Andy told Aunt Bee, Ellie tells Opie that she's on the trail of a baboon, and when it cuts to the next shot of Ellie coming down the stairs we can see the chalk T-mark on the floor where she stands.
Continuity mistake: When Barney and Andy are looking at Barney's picture on the front page of the newspaper, first, the article has nothing to do with Barney or the arrest, and second, when Barney takes the paper from Andy he folds it with the front page on the outside, and the page we see is not the same front page from the closeup.
Plot hole: When Barney's telling Andy about the poem written on the bank wall, Barney blames Opie and doesn't mention anything about Opie using chalk, but when Opie walks in Andy tells him, "Barney says there's a poem written on the wall of the bank, and that you were standin' along beside it with a piece of chalk in your hand," and then in a few moments Opie explains that some big kids pushed the chalk into his hands. So it's impossible for Andy to have known that chalk was used to write the poem, and not a marker, a pen, or a pencil.
Visible crew/equipment: After Andy talks to George's father on the phone, he gets up and stands near the fireplace while explaining to Opie why he broke his promise and called George's father, and when Opie's on the couch asking if he can run off sometime, we can see the white tape mark on the rug where Andy was standing moments ago.
Visible crew/equipment: When the new manicurist tells Floyd that she works only on commission, she lifts the small table and moves it to the window, and we can see the actor's tape mark where she had just been standing.
Visible crew/equipment: When Barney's reading the Sunday comic strip Andy comes in to close the jail in the courthouse, and when Otis walks out of his cell we can see the actor's chalk mark on the floor where he stands.
Continuity mistake: When Andy and Barney catch up with the man who ran Fletch's truck off the road, the rearview mirror suddenly vanishes in the closeups that face the windshield on Bailey's car.
Continuity mistake: When Andy holds Barney by the shoulders while congratulating him for an outstanding job of detective work, Andy holds his notebook in his left hand, but when it cuts to a different angle the notebook's suddenly in Andy's right hand.
Other mistake: At the end, when Joe Waters parks his car in the sheriff's parking spot his car's license plate number is "DC 269," which has been seen in earlier episodes on other vehicles.
Continuity mistake: When Andy locks himself in the jail cell, the key is lying flat on the short wall, but after Barney locks himself in the other cell, the key has turned itself upright on its side.
Other mistake: After Barney gets annoyed over Andy's lack of confidence in his ability to be a sheriff, Barney gets on the phone with Sarah and asks to be connected to the mayor of Greendale, then it cuts to an exterior shot and the parked car has plate number "DC 269," the same as other vehicles in some earlier episodes.
Other mistake: After Andy turns down the offer to join the club the two men leave, and when it cuts to them driving away we see the license plate number is "DC 269," the same as some other vehicles in previous episodes.
Visible crew/equipment: At the end, when Andy opens the door to Floyd's so Ed Sawyer can get a haircut, the set's large spotlight is reflected on the door's window.
Visible crew/equipment: When Andy walks into the barber shop while Barney's complaining to Floyd about his sideburns, we can see the white T-mark on the floor at the bottom of the screen, as well as chalk marks where Andy's standing.
Visible crew/equipment: While Floyd's napping in the barber chair, Andy's reading the newspaper, and when Barney walks in the actor's two curved chalk marks are visible on the floor, where he will stand.
Visible crew/equipment: While Barney's in the barber chair, Floyd starts talking about how he'd tried living at the back of the barber shop, and when the shot faces Barney we can see the reflection of a crew member's legs moving around - the only ones in the shop are Barney, Floyd, and the two men seated by the corner.
Continuity mistake: When Andy and Mrs. Silby are walking into the courthouse, in the exterior shot of Andy opening the door he's wearing the baseball mitt on his left hand, but when it cuts to the interior shot Andy's opening the door with his left hand and the mitt has vanished.
Other mistake: Mr. Wheeler's license plate number is 'DC 269' which has been used in earlier episodes. Then at the end, when the locks-keys man pulls his truck into the driveway, it has plate number 'VT 772' another prop plate seen in "Barney on the Rebound" when the pretty woman drives into town.
Visible crew/equipment: While Andy's in Opie's bedroom when Opie's thinking about running away, the moving shadow of the overhead boom mic is visible, first on the wall behind Opie's headboard and then on the door. Also note, when Andy shows Aunt Bee how to hold the baseball bat and moves her into position, we can see a long white tape mark on the grass (since it's possible that Andy placed the tape, however unlikely, it's being noted here).
Visible crew/equipment: When Andy sees that several stores have made 'Hollywood' changes and then walks past the two men wearing suits, it cuts to Andy walking up to 'Hollywood funerals' and we can see the reflection of a crew member pushing the camera dolly with other crew members.
