Continuity mistake: While Marty is at Lou's Cafe, Biff and his gang enter. When Biff starts bullying George, note George's haircut with shaved sides, back (above his neck), and sideburns. In the following shots, George's haircut with its shaved areas change length. This happens again, when George is with Marty and then tries to ask Lorraine to the dance. (00:39:00)

Continuity mistake: At the start, when Marty and Jennifer kiss, Marty turns toward his parents standing at the door. The screen door has three lower sections, and the house numbers are black. When Doc says, "Where we're going we don't need roads," it then cuts to Biff rushing out the door. Now, in this shot the changes include a screen door with four lower sections, stone wall differs, the house numbers are bright white, and a light fixture directly over the house numbers. Continuity mistake: When Doc tells Marty, "Don't do anything, don't interact with anyone, and try not to look at anything," note Doc's red shirt design. Then it cuts to a shot of Marty as he says, "I don't get it, I thought you said this had something to do with my kids." The next shot facing Doc, as he says, "Look what happens to your son," his red shirt's design has changed, though it's the same style shirt. The same thing occurs with Doc's yellow shirt with the train design, but it's more subtle. (00:09:25)

Continuity mistake: When Old Biff drives into the garage with Young Biff in the passenger seat, Young Biff (body double) is not wearing a belt, but the belt reappears when they exit the car and Old Biff places the Sports Almanac in Young Biff's back pocket. Visible crew/equipment: At the start, when Ballard and Harris walk into apartment 17 to wait for Minns, just as Ballard is introduced to the others, the shadow of the boom mic drops down on the door, at the right side of the screen. (00:01:10)

Visible crew/equipment: On the train, Jack hears Mac saying the track isn't finished, then Jack becomes aware of the broken emergency stop button. When Jack walks back over to Annie and tells her they have to jump, we can see the reflection of the standing camera operator on the right door's window, and the reflection of a crouching crew member (possibly boom operator) on the left door's window. Definitely crew given they're meant to be alone on the train. (01:45:55)

Deliberate mistake: After Bud overhears the plans for Flipper, he decides to hide his dolphin. When he boards the skiff, there are two flipped wide shots before they head out. Note the reversed dock, launch, and "Whaler" on the skiff.

Continuity mistake: While Bud is lying on his porch, reading the book, Dr. Murdock shows up. In the closeup, facing Bud, he reaches out to Murdock with his right arm, but it cuts to the next shot and it's Bud's left arm outstretched.

Continuity mistake: When Flipper guides Rick to Bud's location, Rick carries Bud to the launch and hands him to Mr. Enfield, with Bud's head at Enfield's left arm. It cuts to the next shot, and now Bud is lying in Enfield's arms the opposite way, with his head at Enfield's right arm.

Visible crew/equipment: After Bud wakes up all alone in Bligh's cabin, he soon realises all the doors are locked. Then, just as Bud rushes over to the stern window (particularly the second time), a seated crew member is visible at the bottom right corner of the screen; we can see the movement of a leg and two hands (so, it's not a mannequin).

Continuity mistake: While Bud is napping/fishing in the skiff, Flipper grabs hold of the anchor line and tows the skiff. However, in Flipper's closeup, the anchor is missing from the line. Then it reappears when Bud pulls up the line and sets the anchor down in the skiff.

Continuity mistake: While the boys are trapped underwater inside the car, when Porter opens the jammed car door, his left sock is missing, but as he and the boys float up, Po's wearing both socks. (00:20:00)
