Continuity mistake: When Elliott is trying to lure ET into his room by leaving Reese's Pieces on the carpet, the red helmet is lying on the table with its white stripe facing the doorway and its opening facing the bunk-bed, but when ET reaches the doorway the helmet has turned itself around so it's facing the opposite way.

Continuity mistake: When Mrs. Otterton walks into Chief Bogo's office, in the shots facing the door there are two screws properly placed on the light switch plate, but when Chief Bogo shuts the door after Bellwether leaves, those two screws have vanished. Additionally, the distance between the door handle and the switch plate changes as well. (00:32:00)

Visible crew/equipment: When Joe Atkinson walks into Steve's office and comments that during WWII he "was wrapped in a cloak and carrying a dagger for the OSS," in the next shot the shadow of the boom mic is moving on the wall, at the top right corner of the screen.

Revealing mistake: After the steward releases the gas on the jet everyone passes out, and in the second exterior shot of the jet as it rocks from side to side, we can see the circular frame of the window from which the jet was being filmed, at the bottom right corner of the screen (this shot is flipped).

Revealing mistake: During the scenes on the jet with Steve and the others, before landing on Paradise Island and when the Amazon women are aboard, the end of the cabin and cockpit sets are visible at either the right or left side of the screen in some shots. (Widescreen version).

Continuity mistake: After Wonder Woman is kidnapped, Steve commandeers a taxicab which has damage on its roof, but when Steve is driving the cab there's a black cloth taped to its roof covering the damage.

Continuity mistake: While Hank camouflages himself as part of the yellow banister, Carol, the MLI employee, walks down the stairs with the bucket, and when she sets it down the handle falls to the side of the bucket facing away from Dory toward the staircase, but in the next shot the handle is facing the opposite way. Additionally, the bucket's distance from the floor's black-yellow caution stripes decreases between these two shots.

Continuity mistake: When Dory reads the word "Destiny" on the white bucket, its handle is attached over the letter "t," but when Dory forces the glass carafe to tip over, now the handle is attached over the letter "e."

Continuity mistake: When Carol, the MLI employee, is first seen carrying the white bucket in the corridor and also when Carol thinks she located Hank, the bucket has absolutely no writing on it where the handle's attached on both sides, but when Dory looks down at the bucket suddenly "Destiny" is written on it.

Continuity mistake: After Dory reads the wall map while she's in the glass carafe, when Hank hides behind the rolling cabinet there's a long shot of the corridor with him at the far wall, then in the next shot from behind Hank a drinking fountain has suddenly appeared on the wall to the left, between two pictures.

Continuity mistake: When Dory and Hank are in the stroller trying to get to the Open Ocean exhibit, Hank steers the stroller right into a girl wearing a striped top and holding a cup of popcorn, but a few shots later that same girl is now wearing a light pink top when she's on her knees with the spilled popcorn.

The Final Chapter: The Steal in the Wheels - S12-E9

Visible crew/equipment: After Fuentes explains to Saroyan why he's not wearing the new lab coat, Fuentes tells Saroyan that he'll be coming to her wedding because they're family, and as the camera pulls back we can see a T-mark on the floor at his feet. (00:18:20)

Other mistake: When ET launches all the bicycles into the air, first there's a closeup of Michael, then in the next closeup of Steve as they climb higher he leans back with his arms outstretched, as if he's balancing himself on his bike, and we see Steve's right hand making a fist pretending to grip his handlebar, though he's not actually gripping anything at all, it's an empty fist. (This shot has nothing to do with CGI disappearing issues).

Continuity mistake: When Elliott gets food for himself and ET he takes the milk container from the top shelf of the fridge, and we see an empty space beside the Skippy peanut butter where the milk had been, but after Elliott drops everything onto the floor, in his next two closeups note the milk container (it has a distinctive curved design) is back on the shelf in the same spot beside the Skippy jar.

Continuity mistake: When Elliott finds ET hiding behind the stuffed animals in his closet, Elliott's holding two plates in his hands while balancing two cans of Coke on his forearms, then one of the cans falls over onto the plate, but in the next shot we can see that can under the plate and it's upright.

Continuity mistake: When Elliott slices his finger on the Kromedge saw blade, it's the index finger of his left hand, but in the closeups of his finger he's actually holding up the index finger of his right hand.

Continuity mistake: After Elliott finds ET all dressed up courtesy of Gertie, when ET heads into Elliott's bedroom the large oval striped rug has its center under Elliott's bunk-bed, but when they're all in Elliott's room that rug is pulled out (which can't easily happen due to the weight of the bunk-bed) and now covers much more of the floor area, between the bunk-bed and closet.

Visible crew/equipment: When Michael and Elliott bring ghost ET downstairs Mary walks over to the trio with the Polaroid camera, and when she kneels down the actor's tape mark can be seen on the carpet, presumably where Mary had stood when she stopped to scream.
