Continuity mistake: On the Pearl, after Elizabeth tells Norrington that she trusts Jack, when Norrington walks away from the deck rail, in the shots facing Elizabeth, the pretty cumulus clouds behind her change back and forth between shots.(01:28:50)
Continuity mistake: On the Dutchman, when Jones holds out the whip for Bill Turner to use on Will, the whip's direction flips between shots, it faces the opposite way when Bill grabs it.(01:14:20)
Continuity mistake: On the chopper, when Sean Archer points his gun out the window, in the shot facing him the window to his right is a double slide type. In the next shot, from inside the chopper, his arm is through a single window that flips down.(01:23:00)
Visible crew/equipment: After Castor is captured at the airport hangar, when Sean pulls into his driveway the crew is reflected on the vehicle's surface.(00:18:15)
Continuity mistake: At the airport hangar, when Castor hits the wire gate in the turbo chamber, the top of his head is well below the metal bar. But, when the emergency shut-off is pressed, his unconscious body has sat itself up, because now the bar is at shoulder level.(00:17:50)
Continuity mistake: After the surgery, when Sean (as Castor Troy) breaks the center mirror of the tri-fold mirror, what remains are the two side mirrors and white backing within the center frame. When Tito grabs him as he starts cursing, in these close-ups the reflections seen are as if all three sides are still intact.(00:37:15)
Continuity mistake: During the runway pursuit, there is a shot from behind Castor Troy as he fires on Sean's chopper, and there are four bullet holes on the windshield. In Sean's close-up the four bullet holes change position.
Other mistake: On his own computer, Sean looks up his son's file, which states the boy died immediately and his date of death was September 9th, 1991. When Eve and Castor (as Sean Archer) are at the cemetery, the date of death on the headstone is September 24th, 1991.(00:21:15 - 01:14:50)
Continuity mistake: At Erehwon prison, during the cigarette incident, Sean (as Castor Troy) is knocked down, and while on the floor the side bar of his left magnetic boot breaks and the entire boot begins to fall off, but it's intact when he crawls to get the cigarette.(01:07:20)
Continuity mistake: At Dietrich's, when the firing begins, Sasha grabs a woman and they both start running up the stairs, but a few shots later when Sasha yells, "Cas, be careful with him," she and the woman are still downstairs.(01:33:40)
Visible crew/equipment: When Sean (as Castor Troy) shoots Castor (as Sean Archer) with the speargun, when the spear is finally unloaded, in the side shot there is a thin guide wire pulling the spear tip towards Castor (as Sean).(02:09:25)
Continuity mistake: When Jaime is screaming, Castor Troy (as Sean Archer) walks out to the front yard and the back tires/end of Karl's car is on the sidewalk, but when Karl is dragged out, the car is farther up the driveway.(01:24:50)
Continuity mistake: During the speedboat chase, when Castor Troy (as Sean Archer) shoots up the white speedboat that Sean (as Castor Troy) drives, there are numerous bullet holes on its starboard side. Four shots later, when he hits the box on the rear seat, those bullet holes on the starboard side are gone.(02:04:15)
Continuity mistake: When Sean (as Castor Troy) stabs Castor (as Sean Archer) in the leg, the type of speargun actually changes between shots, it is an entirely different model. The spear tip differs as well.
Revealing mistake: On the train to school, when HRH are in their cabin, among the different angles that are presented during this scene are the shots in which the camera either faces the large cabin window or the aisle window, directly opposite it. It is not what is seen that is the problem, it is what we don't see. When the camera faces the large cabin window we should see the scenic reflection of the window opposite it, as the train speeds along (and vice versa the aisle window), but we don't. What we do see reflected is the light colored wall beneath the blacked out window. The camera filming the shots from this angle is positioned at that window and in order not to see the outline of the camera/crew, the window was covered.
Revealing mistake: The first morning, when Robert takes Giselle to work, they enter atrium of the Time Warner Center (the well-known statue of the female Giselle admires is one of a set, the other is male), which is located at 8th Ave and Broadway, at the southwest corner of Central Park. Upstairs, when Sam tells Robert that she can't find where Giselle is from, and then when Giselle speaks to Phoebe, the very distinctive Johnson Lipstick Building (it's reddish and has three receding oval-shaped levels) at 53rd and 3rd is seen outside the window. The office scene is obviously not filmed at Time Warner, because it's impossible to be in an office at 8th and Broadway, on the West Side, and be next door to a building located at 53rd and 3rd, on the East Side.(00:35:40 - 00:40:35)
Other mistake: In his search of Giselle, when Edward knocks on doors 209 (hissing cat), 405 (barking dog), and 714 (purple guy), the funny thing is that in all three close-ups the three door jambs/trim have the same paint glob markings. The actual doors were changed, but the jamb/trim remained the same for all three shots. (Only visible on widescreen DVD).(01:04:05)
Visible crew/equipment: At the apartment, after Giselle falls asleep on the couch, when Robert says, "Just because she has on a funny dress, doesn't mean she's a princess," and a few shots later, when he stands to call for a taxi, the side of the camera and the boom mic are reflected in the window to Robert's right. The boom mic moves in both shots, but the camera moves only in the second. (Only visible on widescreen DVD.)(00:22:10)
Continuity mistake: When Giselle opens the window in Robert's apartment, in the exterior shot, to sing for furry cleaning help, there is a set of three windows to her right, with a balcony. Odd thing is, in the interior shots the window she sang from is to the left of the couch, but to the right of the couch there are three French doors, not windows, that open to the balcony.(00:25:20)
Continuity mistake: During her first morning at Robert's apartment, Giselle has made a gown out of the living room draperies, but the remaining drapes on the windows are a very faded turquoise floral and the color of Giselle's dress material is a bright turquoise floral, which is actually more similar in color to the lamp on the table.(00:32:00)
