Continuity mistake: When John and Agatha are in Leo Crow's room, John finds the single photo of Sean and as he looks at it we see the back of the photo and the outline of the boy's image. John then finds the multiple photo-strip of Sean with Leo and holds it in front of him, but as he says, "I am going to kill this man," John is actually holding the single photo - note the outline of only Sean's image on the back of the photo. Visible crew/equipment: When the shop owner looks through the book for information about the gold coin, he hears the bike bell and when he walks toward the stairs, the crew's solid brown rug is visible on the blue floor - note its edges in front of the white bookcase. It is also seen when he walks back to the safe the second time. That rug is gone in all other shots. (This has nothing to do with the large patterned Asian-style area rug.) (00:35:45)

Visible crew/equipment: When Danielle rushes upstairs to finish serving the breakfast, she says, "Good morning Madame, Marguerite, Jacqueline. I trust you slept well." Just as Danielle places the bowl of eggs in front of Marguerite, the actor's blue T-mark taped to the floor is visible under the table, as the camera pans around. The tape mark is positioned between the Baroness and Jacqueline, where Danielle will be standing momentarily. (Only visible on fullscreen DVD.) (00:17:20)

Continuity mistake: In Potions class, when Hermione stands before the cauldron explaining what she is smelling in her closeup, we see Neville behind her with the broad space to his right (viewer's left), just as she says, "Spearmint toothpaste". In the instant cut to the wideshot, Harry is now shoulder to shoulder with Neville, too fast for him to suddenly be standing that close to Neville. (00:34:35)

Continuity mistake: After Hagrid passes out in his hut, when Harry tells Slughorn of Lily's sacrifice the vegetables behind Harry change position on the shelves. (01:50:40)
