Continuity mistake: After Gracie is given the title of Miss Congeniality, Miss Texas (with her broken nose) and some others go up to hug her. As Miss Texas is hugging Gracie up at the podium in the first shot, the very next shot is a close-up of Victor and Matthews in the 'audience', and seen right in front of them in the audience is Miss Texas. Continuity mistake: Victor and agent Matthews rush back stage at the pageant and are stopped by the Pageant Matron. There is a monitor next to Victor and it shows Miss Rhode Island twirling her batons without flames, and also as soon as Vic calls Matthews 'muffin', in the background we see Cheryl raising her flameless baton on stage in the background. Yet in the previous and following shots the batons have flames. (01:27:10)

Continuity mistake: While having pizza and beer at the club, Gracie says, "Don't worry about that, we all sucked." In every front shot, Gracie's hair is hanging down the sides of her face, but in the next five side shots, her hair's tucked behind her left ear. Then in the rest of the shots her hair is tucked behind her left hair in all shots. (01:09:10)

Continuity mistake: Gracie sings "You want to smooch me" to Matthews, and he takes a Milky Way candy bar and bites into it. There is a back shot of Matthews, then a front shot and then a back shot again. In the front shot the wrapper and the bite he takes differs from the previous and following back shots. (00:50:05)

Continuity mistake: At the talent preliminary held at the Alamo, while Stan says his intro there is a back shot of the audience in front of him with the judges station seen. After Stan shakes his hips a front shot of the audience is seen. The position of the judges' station is very different in both shots, as well as the audience. (00:51:35)

Continuity mistake: When Gracie is leaping off stage after yelling, "Gun! Gun! Everybody down!" there are two wide side shots of the leap. Those shots are one sequence that was split to put the close-up in the middle. In the 1st, her hand is already on the shoulder of the man in the yellow shirt. Then there's a close-up of Vic's, Kathy's, and Stan's reaction to the leap, but their eyes are still in the air facing towards the stage as we see Gracie flying past their faces. In the 2nd wide shot, she's back to where she was in the 1st shot. (00:54:15)

Continuity mistake: While Gracie is performing with her water glasses, Kathy tells Victor, "I thought I made it very clear you were responsible for making her look credible Victor." Continuity mistake: In the dressing room as Vic and Gracie are talking before Gracie is pushed on stage for the swimsuit preliminary, Gracie is wearing the flag minicam on her New Jersey sash. Continuity mistake: Backstage Vic pulls off Gracie's towel and pushes her onstage. In the next wide shot we see a boat riding past the stage, and the boat's operator is wearing a blue shirt. In the next close-up of that boat operator, his shirt is white. (01:03:35)

Continuity mistake: Stan announces, "Swimsuit Preliminary accounts for 15%..." and the contestants are seen on stage. Miss NY to the left of the screen and Miss California and Miss Texas to the right of the screen, are walking towards center stage where Miss West Virginia is. Yet in the next shot backstage in the dressing room all four of those contestants are seen backstage with Gracie. (01:03:15)

Continuity mistake: While Gracie and Cheryl are talking in Gracie's hotel room, the telephone on the nightstand between the two beds is on the right side of the lamp, and Miss Texas is lying down with the burgundy robe over her matching nightgown. When Gracie gets into bed, in this shot the telephone is now on the left side of the lamp and Miss Texas doesn't have the robe on. (00:44:45)

Continuity mistake: The back of the Laika Restaurant is first shown when Agent Jerry Grant confirms, "All clear" to McDonald. There's an exterior covered vent with duct tape to the left of the door, many black trash bags, boxes and trash cans. When Matthews hits the Ivan with the trash can, most of these objects are positioned differently or don't exist at all. (00:02:30 - 00:06:25)

Continuity mistake: Matthews is sitting with other agents in front of the monitor as Gracie first arrives with the other contestants to the orientation breakfast. In every front view of the monitor, as we see the video feed from Gracie, there are videotapes surrounding the monitor. Yet in all of the back views of the monitor, it's right up against other electronic items. (00:38:20)

Continuity mistake: Gracie and Matthews have a meeting with Kathy Morningside (Candice) and Stan Fields (Shatner) in her office to discuss Gracie's upcoming undercover work. In the 1st shot, Kathy stands up in front of a picture of a previous Miss United States and the reflection in the glass behind Kathy shows Stan, Matthews and Gracie standing up as well. Yet, in the 2nd shot, Stan who is still sitting stands up now. Then in the 3rd shot, Matthews and Gracie get up too. (00:23:20)

Continuity mistake: Gracie, Matthews and the rest are planning their operation, and as Harris says, "It's a logistical nightmare," in the close-up Gracie's second blouse button is open. As she walks towards the table, it's closed. In the close-up she says, "...prelims or maybe a TV broadcast," it's open. In the next shot it's closed again. Then when Matthews says, "I got just the girl," that button is open yet again. (00:16:40)

Continuity mistake: At the bar, in the close-up Gracie spills ketchup on the side of the Citizen memo and the paper isn't wrinkled, but when Matthews walks in, the paper is wrinkled and stained all over. Matthews then introduces Beth to Gracie and Beth's hair at her shoulders changes throughout this scene, as does the bow on her shirt. Matthews' shirt collar changes too. (00:13:35)

Continuity mistake: As McDonald leaves the FBI briefing room, after Matthews is put in charge, in the first wide shot as Gracie stands up to follow McDonald, the four clocks on the wall are seen. In the subsequent close-up, as she follows McDonald out, the clocks are seen again and there is a VERY big difference in the times shown in both shots. (00:12:40)

Continuity mistake: In the FBI briefing room, McDonald tells Matthews to get a team together. In the first close-up, the black folder is under the one white memo sheet. In the wide shot as he stands, there are many white papers near his folder. In the next close-up, the black folder is under the one white memo sheet again. (00:12:25)

Continuity mistake: In her apartment, Gracie drops her bags down, trips near her bed and starts kicking it. The blanket's on the floor in front of the doorway as she heads into the kitchen, which is bright. In the next shot from her front, as she walks towards the kitchen, which is now very dark, the blanket's now on the side of the bed. Also, there's a wicker basket with clothes on the corner of the rug now and her black bag that she dropped earlier is positioned quite differently. (00:07:45)
