Continuity mistake: A woman tells Bill that her blind neighbor, Judy, is still in the burning building. In the following shot, when Tanner approaches the door there's a pane of glass beside the door knob and there's a backplate behind the knob, but in the next closeup both the pane of glass and the backplate have vanished. Continuity mistake: During two successive scenes, when Michael and Tony con the boys looking for fireworks and also when they're with Charlie at the movie theater, Tony has the taped bandage around his right pinky and hand. The problem is in the next scene at the pool hall Tony's hand is fine, and it's during the brawl in this pool hall that Tony injures his pinky, which requires it to be bandaged later on. (00:23:45)

Continuity mistake: While Ralph is invisible in order to eavesdrop on Klein, when Klein makes a crack about Bill being little league, Ralph deliberately knocks the cup in Klein's hand so the coffee spills on his shirt, tie, vest, and jacket in the closeup, but in the next shot Klein is spotless. Additionally, Klein has a black pocket square and the cup he holds is white styrofoam, but in the closeup the pocket square is gone and he holds a white mug. (00:27:50)

Continuity mistake: At the rec center, when Ralph enters the reserved racquetball court two men force him onto the floor for another polygraph. Ralph's wearing striped socks, blue shorts with white stripes, a blue half-shirt with red/white stripes that bares his midriff, but in the closeups as Ralph sits down and has the polygraph hooked up, all the stripes on his clothing have vanished and Ralph's abdomen suddenly has a significant amount of dark hair. Continuity mistake: When the engineer shuts down the train he's wearing a long sleeve jacket, but in the closeup we see a bare arm wearing a watch. The terrorists remove that engineer and he's replaced with McGivers, another engineer wearing a jacket, and the same bare arm is in closeups. Then a third engineer on another train has the same arm in the closeup. (00:06:40)

Continuity mistake: Preacher forces Ralph to stop the sheriff, so when Ralph flies over and pulls the driver's door off the squad car, we see the Sheriff behind the steering wheel wearing his uniform shirt and dark colored pants of some sort, but when the Sheriff stands up his uniform shirt is properly tucked into his normal tan pants, same as earlier. Continuity mistake: After Bill is shot in the hand at the beachhouse one of the hitmen takes off in a van with no side windows, but as Ralph begins to run after it the speeding van is different and has windows on the side, then it's back to the original van. (00:27:35)

Continuity mistake: At the end, when the aliens appear in the desert again, Ralph is in the front seat of Pam's car as the aliens suggest Ralph try invisibility, but after Ralph shouts that he lost the instruction book, when it cuts to a long shot Ralph is standing in front of Pam's car, then he's back in the front seat. Continuity mistake: At the hospital, when Ralph is sitting in the wheelchair the nurse calls for the orderly to help subdue Ralph. Two orderlies appear, and the black orderly's tunic has short sleeves well above his elbows, but as they all enter room six that orderly's tunic now has sleeves considerably longer and baggier than the previous shot. Continuity mistake: When the police take Ralph to the hospital he's wearing his red suit that has slim fitted sleeves without cuffs, but as Ralph's right wrist is being forcibly restrained to the gurney, in the closeup Ralph's right sleeve appears to be the long sleeve of a red fleece shirt instead of his red suit. Additionally, in this closeup the white orderly's arms are much hairier and his watch vanished as well. (00:02:50)
