Continuity mistake: Sir Didymus (riding Ambrosius) is in front of the building with the hammer sign in Goblin City, when he quickly rides away shouting, "No. Not that way!" He is at least three houses away from the building with the hanging hammer sign, when it cuts to the many Goblin guards chasing him. Then, in the third overhead shot, Sir Did rides past that same building with the hammer sign - and now things like the sharpening stone table, the cart with baskets, etc., differ. (01:20:40)

Continuity mistake: In Goblin City, after the boulder positions itself on the edge of the wall, it falls on top of a talking gun/cannon, smashing it to smoldering bits, and it says, "Hey, no problem," in the close-up. In the next shot, as Sarah runs up the step to shout for Sir Didymus, the smoldering cannon bits on the ground are quite different. (01:26:05)

Continuity mistake: When Sarah crosses the Bog of Eternal Stench, the bridge rails break, and then the bridge plank under her gives way and falls into the bog, while she clings to the tree limb. Continuity mistake: When Sarah places Toby back in the crib, the lipped door jamb clearly has a strike plate. After she says, "I wish the goblins would come and take you away..." she shuts the light, and walks out. And don't say I didn't warn you," in the next shot Sarah begins walking down the path, and passes a particular piece of stone wall with mossy eyeballs (also visible in an earlier shot). Two shots later, after Hoggle slams the doors, Sarah, who is startled by the slam, is back at that piece of wall nearer the doors, and the stones and mossy eyeballs differ as well. In the following close-up, when Sarah begins to enter, the flower vines on the wall noticeably differ. Then when Ludo walks out and slams the doors, the ground between the doors is covered in leaves. Continuity mistake: When Jack sails toward Port Royal, he passes the skeletal remains of hanged pirates, to whom he pays a respectful bow. First, there are two wideshots of the skeletons, then in the close-up they are actually wearing more clothing, particularly the strapping middle guy, whose head position differs, and his straw hat is larger as well. Continuity mistake: After Norrington orders his men to take young Will below, in the next shot young Elizabeth stands at Dauntless' stern, in front of the mizzen mast and rigging, with the yard arms behind the mast way above her and its full sails. However, in the next close-ups the yard arm and sail are directly behind her, and the sails differ. (00:04:20)

Continuity mistake: On the dock, as the Tiger shark is being raised there is an arrow above its gills, a second arrow below its dorsal fin and a broken arrow shaft in the wound just beside that dorsal fin. When Hooper tells the three fishermen that it's a Tiger shark, the broken arrow beside its dorsal fin is now a nice, long, whole arrow. All of the arrows change their degree of penetration in the shark's hide throughout these shots. (00:32:55 - 00:34:20)

Continuity mistake: After the two barrels are tied off, there is at least twenty feet of line between the barrels and where it disappears into the water. When the next harpoon is shot (the barrel shatters the cabin window) and the shark pulls Orca, that last barrel trails way ahead of Orca, its taught line being extremely shorter than the lines leading to the two other barrels, though the shark pulls them at the same time. However, once the cleats break off, the length of the three lines are identical in length. (01:44:15)
