Continuity mistake: At the start of the episode, when Frank opens/closes the refrigerator door we see the door's layout, and the door bin cover is under the top shelf compartment. As he makes himself the sandwich Erin and Nicky walk in, and when Nicky opens the fridge door it's an entirely different interior style with the door bin cover at the top.

In the next shot a car pulls up in front of Strickland Propane, and in the exterior shot the front door knob is at the right side of the door, but in the next interior shot the door knob is still at the right side of that door, though it should be on the left side. Continuity mistake: When McCoy places the old tricycle down on the ground, the handlebars are facing the right with its wheels facing the left. When McCoy is attacked by the diseased Only, Kirk and Spock subdue him, and as he lies on the ground the tricycle flips over between shots, so the handlebars suddenly end up facing the left. Continuity mistake: When Kirk confronts Spock in his quarters, Kirk asks if it's something only his planet can do for him, then Kirk uses his left hand to grab hold of Spock's arm as he drops the stylus, but in the closeup it's Kirk's right hand holding Spock's arm up, and that stylus is also back in Spock's raised hand. Continuity mistake: During the final match, while Kirk fights the lone Andorian thrall two things to notice. Kirk's collar of obedience opens up and drops between the two opponents, then when Kirk lifts and flips the Andorian thrall the back of Kirk's black pants are split open in the wide shot. Continuity mistake: When Ben first sees The Fox in the box trap and rushes over, both the y-branch and straight branch are lying atop the box, but as Ben kneels down now the y-branch is instantly upright with the straight branch still lying beside it, then Ben's siblings run over. (In the next shot, as Mary Ellen mentions Carol Lombarde, the box trap is suddenly set atop two saw horses with the two branches set in their trapping positions. This change is quite abrubt between the two shots and presented as if they have not moved). (00:29:40)
