Continuity mistake: When Syrus finishes his scary story, Jaden places the card Syrus was using face down on the table. In the next shot, the card is suddenly face up and has been replaced with a different one. Then in the shot after that, it is suddenly face up at a different part of the table. (00:02:23)

Continuity mistake: When Jaden is telling Syrus he still lives at the dorm, in the shot of him saying Ra Yellow is nice, there is a still shown at the edge of the bed. Later in the scene, when Jaden is trying to stop Syrus crying on him, the stool is suddenly further from the bed. (00:19:48 - 00:20:21)

Continuity mistake: When Jaden walks into the dorm at the end of the episode, in the shot from above, he leaves his shoes on. A couple of seconds later, when the same shot angle is shown again, his shoes are suddenly off, even though he was never shown taking them off. (00:19:37)

Revealing mistake: When Syrus and Bastion walk onto the arena field to congratulate Jaden, there are extras animated in the background who are cheering yet appear frozen and not moving in any way. (00:18:24)

Continuity mistake: In the flashback of the card shop owner giving Jaden the pack of rare cards, in the shot focusing on her, she is holding the pack with two hands, but when the shot focuses on Jaden, she is holding the pack with one hand. (00:15:45)

Continuity mistake: At the start of the duel, Jaden draws a card from his deck, which is placed in between two fingers. When the card is revealed to be Winged Kuriboh, it is now placed in between his thumb and one finger. (00:09:57)

Deliberate mistake: There is a shot of Alexis getting blasted with electricity when Etoile Cyber is attacked by Sparkman. This same shot is reused later in the episode when she attacked directly by Elemental Hero Thunder Giant, as the electricity and Alexis' position in the shot is the same. (00:12:20 - 00:18:36)

Continuity mistake: On Jaden's first turn, he draws a card from his deck. He has two fingers pressed against the back, but when the shot cuts, he now has the side of one finger placed against the card. (00:11:57)

Other mistake: When Jaden and Syrus enter their dorm room, the curtains are closed, but this doesn't affect the lighting at all. The light isn't switched on, but the room appears exactly as it would if the curtains were open, without appearing dim or darkly lit, and the lighting doesn't change once they open the curtains. Continuity mistake: When Bastion is looking out the helicopter window, no-one else can be seen near him, but in the next shot, another student has appeared standing next to him. (00:00:06)

She then begins to move her hand away from the door, but when the shot cuts, her left hand is down at her side. (00:19:08)
