Revealing mistake: The mummy crate is brought onto Allan's ship. As the crate is being lowered down, there are two people standing next to it. The man on the left has a black hat which becomes a blue hat for a frame then goes back to a black hat. (00:09:30)

Revealing mistake: The shot of the letter being placed into the envelope and being stamped with the symbol is used twice. The first time is after Tintin meets R.J. Rastapopolis. The second time is after the boat arrives at the docks and Tintin goes onto another boat. Notice how the way he closes the envelope is the same and the stamp of the symbol is placed in the exact same position. (00:03:30 - 00:05:05)

Other mistake: Cleveland spent several seconds trying to turn off the TV repeatedly pushing loads of buttons and manages to turn it off. The button he turned it off with was the same button he kept repeatedly pushing, meaning the TV should have turned off seconds ago if he was pushing that particular button. (00:09:30)
