Continuity mistake: When Steve and Bucky are fighting, Bucky eventually lets go of the chip after Steve finishes choking him. The chip is first shown to be right next to the window frame, but when Steve goes to pick up the chip, it is suddenly several inches away from it. (01:47:20)

Audio problem: After Alexander Pierce discovers Nick is alive, Pierce starts explaining the intention of his plan to him. A reverse angle of Pierce is shown where he says "You didn't ask. You just did what had to be done. I can bring order to the lives of seven billion people by sacrificing 20 million." His jaw doesn't seem to be matching up with his speech. (01:42:00)

Continuity mistake: When Sam asks "How do we tell the good guys from the bad guys?" and Steve replies "If they're shooting at you they're bad", Sam unleashes his Falcon wings. This shot shows Steve and Sam to be standing within a few feet of each other, but in the next shot where Sam flies off in his Falcon wings and Steve leaps off the roof, the two are suddenly several meters away from each other. Continuity mistake: After Steve explains to SHIELD that Hydra is working alongside them, one of the World Security Council members calls Alexander Pierce a smug son of a bitch. Three agents then walk into the room and one of them points a gun at one of the council members. The gun is first aimed at his head, then slightly lowered to his chest, then back to being raised and aimed at the head again. (01:37:15)

Visible crew/equipment: After The Winter Soldier throws a grenade at the car, Romanoff appears behind and starts fighting with him. Romanoff ties his hands together and the Winter Soldier walks back into a silver car. In the following shot, just as the Winter Soldier aims Romanoff at the other car, it can be noticed that Romanoff has been replaced by a stunt double. This is only visible for a frame or two so you'll have to be quick in order to see it. (01:18:05)

Continuity mistake: After the Winter Soldier blows up the car he assumed Romanoff was hiding behind, she sneaks up behind him and kicks the gun out of his hand. When he throws her at one of the cars, the gun is on the road to the left of some yellow lines, next to a car. A few shots later, when the Winter Soldier picks up the gun, the gun and car have both moved - the gun is now right on the lines, the car is still the same distance from it. (01:18:00)

Continuity mistake: When Romanoff states to Steve a missile is headed for them, she is shown holding her phone with four of her fingers placed around the phone and her thumb placed on the phone's screen. Then in a close-up all four of her fingers and her thumb are now completely placed around the phone. Then back to having four of her fingers around the phone and her thumb on the phone's screen. Continuity mistake: When Steve is explaining who Arnim Zola is to Romanoff, Zola says to them "Look around you. I have never been more alive." At the end of this line, Romanoff is shown turning her head to the right. In the next shot, she's suddenly looking back at Zola. (01:00:45)

Character mistake: When Steve and Romanoff "switch on" Arnim Zola, Zola says "I may not be the man I was when the Captain took me prisoner in 1945." In the first Captain America, it was shown Steve took Zola into custody the same day as his friend Bucky supposedly died. However, the bio of Bucky shown at the Smithsonian earlier in the film said that he died in 1944. (01:00:25)

Continuity mistake: In the elevator, when Agent Rumlow says "Sorry about what happened with Fury. It's messed up, what happened to him" and Steve replies "Thank you", Rumlow lowers his head. Next shot, his head is suddenly raised. (00:45:10)

Continuity mistake: When Steve, Romanoff and Agent Hill are watching Nick being operated on, Agent Hill is on the left, followed by Romanoff in the middle and Steve on the right. A couple of shots later, as Romanoff says "Don't do this to me Nick", it is now suddenly Agent Hill in the middle and Romanoff on the left, then a few shots later, it goes back to Romanoff being in the middle and Agent Hill being on the left. Visible crew/equipment: When Romanoff runs into the hospital room (with Steve and Agent Hill already inside) to see Nick being operated on, you can just make out a white tape marker near the bottom of the wall showing where Romanoff is supposed to stand. (00:36:20)

Continuity mistake: After Nick's car has crashed and The Winter Soldier begins to approach the car, one shot shows there to be a load of glass outside the car door. When the Winter Soldier approaches the car, the amount of glass has decreased. (00:31:25)

Continuity mistake: After Nick has escaped the "cops", he tells the car to give him the wheel. The shot then cuts to an overview shot where Nick is shown speeding through traffic. Just as the shot ends, he is shown about to drive past a bus, but by the next shot, the bus has vanished completely. (00:28:40)

Continuity mistake: After Alexander Pierce has finished having a conversation with the World Security Council, he goes over to Nick Fury and starts talking with him. When Pierce says "Nothing some earmarks can't fix", his head is shown to be perfectly forwards and still. Next shot, his head is suddenly shifted to the right a bit. (00:23:30)

Continuity mistake: When Steve is talking with Peggy, just as Peggy says "My only regret is that you didn't get to live yours", there are a few vertical line shaped creases on her pillow. The shot then cuts over to Steve, but when the shot cuts back to Peggy, the vertical crease furthest away from Peggy has decreased and the vertical crease in the middle of the creases has slightly increased. Character mistake: When Steve is at the Smithsonian, he reads the biography of his friend Bucky. At the start of the description, the bio reads "Born in 1916...", but at the bottom of the description, it reads "Bucky Barnes: 1917 - 1944." (00:18:35)

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Nick Fury is showing Steve the new Helicarriers, just as Nick says "The satellites can read a terrorist's DNA before he steps outside the spider hole", the two are shown turning around. Nick is shown turning around almost completely and Steve is shown only turning half way. In the next shot, Nick is suddenly turned only half way, facing Steve. (00:16:20)

Continuity mistake: When Steve and Romanoff are lying against the knocked over blinds after dodging the grenade, there is a box shown with some papers in it between them. The first shot shows a white piece of paper sticking furthest out of the box. Next shot, the furthest piece of paper sticking out of the box is now a peach coloured piece of paper. (00:12:45)
