Question: Why do they place a curse on Imhotep which makes his mummy evil? What would the Egyptians benefit from this?
Answer: It's ultimately a bit stupid, but a side-effect of the horrible punishment they've inflicted on him, making him suffer for so long, is that if ever he's resurrected he'll have powers and be immortal, which is why people are set to make sure he's never awakened. Just killing him would make more sense, but since when does anyone major die easily in films?
Answer: Imhotep was already evil. As for the curse, like Judas it was a living death, even though his body died, his spirit wouldn't enter Heaven or Hell, but remain in limbo. Like a vampire, he was resurrected with supernatural powers.Unbound and all powerful.
Question: Does anyone know the number plate of the Mystery Machine?
Answer: In the cartoons, it's AC-712. The film was probably faithful to this.
Question: Does anybody know how they did the scene where Mary Poppins is doing a duet with her mirror image?
Chosen answer: They recorded her singing in two separate parts and fixed them together. The editors did a good job on it! It may have been made a long time ago but even then the technology was quite advanced enough to carry out that scene.
Question: What is the name of the dance tune when Tom Cruise is drunk in the club with his mask on the back of his head?
Answer: I think the one you mean is 'Afrika Shox' by Leftfield & Afrika Bambaataa which is track 10 on the fantastic soundtrack.
Question: Whats the name of the theme when the trailer shows the tagline 'before they were soldiers, they were family'?
Answer: I think the one you want is 'Unseen' - By Craig Armstrong which is track 2 on the Plunkett and Macleane soundtrack.
Question: In the trailer, there is a theme playing at the last part that really interest me. Can anybody tell me the name of the theme?
Answer: "I'm Not Driving Anymore" (Instrumental) - Rob Dougan.
Question: I'm unclear about the ending in this film. Was he really Don Juan and the stories he told about his sexual antics are true after all? And was he lying when he said that he really grew up in Queens, etc., just to get out of the hospital?
Chosen answer: I think the point is that it doesn't matter. He can be Don Juan if he likes - so can anybody - and who is to tell who someone else really is?
Question: A few of the mistakes point out that certain scenes were shown backward. Why was this done?
Chosen answer: To give the film that extra creepy feel.
Question: My friend made a comment the other day that Catherine is a tramp because every time you see her she's with a new guy. However, aside from Eddie, I thought the only guy you ever see her with is the construction guy from the episode where the house collapses (sorry I'm not more specific...) Can anyone resolve our dispute?
Answer: I have watched this show from the very first episode so I think I can figure out Catherine's relationship time line. She met her husband while she was a stripper as a young woman. They had a very rocky relationship which produced a daughter. The ex-husband died, I believe, last season. Catherine also has a rather estranged relationship with her father who is a casino owner and a bit of a criminal. He had seduced Catherine's mother and fathered Catherine. Later he dumped Catherine's mother for a younger woman. Catherine was romantically involved with the City/County safety inspector you mentioned but I don't think it went past casual dating and flirting as he kind of disappeared. This season she became involved with the club manager whose partner died in last season's finale. If you recall, her new beau and her father met recently in an episode and they didn't exactly hit if off. I'm sure this will make for some story material in future episodes. (Interesting point, her new beau is played by the actor who played the rogue FBI agent Kricheck on the X-Files). So I don't think Catherine is a tramp by any of today's standards. I think she's a single mom just trying to find love outside her morbid job.
Question: Can you really tell that someone has torn a tendon in their leg just by looking at the foot print they leave or is it just making fun of the TV show CSI?
Answer: It is making fun of the show CSI. Even still, there are ways of telling if someone had a knee problem by the way they walk and put pressure on the foot. Being able to tell if it was a torn tendon, I don't think so. Check out the way people run and you can tell if they have hurt something in the past because of which leg they favor.
Question: Is this a true story? The ending with text "John W. Creasy" and lifetime dates makes it seem like a true story.
Answer: Daniel "La Voz" Sanchez was based off the kidnapper Daniel Arizmendi López and Aurelio Sanchez was based off his bother Aurelio Arizmendi López, so some of it maybe true but not a lot.
Answer: No, the movie was based on a fiction book. The book takes place in Italy, and the kidnapping ring is run by the mafia.
Answer: The movie was completely lifted from a much better 1987 version of the same story.
Question: This ones a two timer: 1) Isn't it breaking the Disney tradition that no evidence of violence can be shown when Kala looks around the tree house and sees bloody paw prints? 2) The bloody paw prints lead to the dead bodies of Tarzan's parents, if Sabor killed them, wouldn't he have eaten them?
Answer: Disney does not have a policy against the evidence of violence, they do, however, try to keep it at a minimum. As for Sabor eating Tarzan's parents, there may have been something that scared him off, even if it was just another animal nearby.
Answer: Leopards are known to hunt for sport. And predators in general may store away kills for later.
Question: All of the vials that Yzma has are labeled, but how? They can't be inside the vale because they would be wet and Yzma couldn't have flipped the label up like she did in a scene, yet...there is nothing attaching the label to the vial. how is it attached?
Answer: It is probably attached with the equivalent of a piece of Scotch tape rolled over itself; I'm sure you've done that before. It wouldn't be visible to the naked eye, and Yzma would be able to flip the label up.
Question: I only just saw the episode where Sydney finally kills Allison (Francie's clone), and wakes up two years later in Hong Kong. I really can't wait two more weeks until the following episodes explain everything, so could someone please post an explanation of what happened in those two years? Or link me to a website with one?

Question: In the book Tolkien intended for Minas Tirith and Osgiliath to be 15-20 miles apart. Faramir and his men seemed to make two journeys (to and fro) within a couple of minutes screen time. Did Peter Jackson intend for the two cities to be closer in the film?
Answer: No, they're still the same distance apart - it's a standard film technique to compress time for travelling and so forth. It's intercut with Pippin singing for dramatic effect, not to imply that it only takes the length of the song to travel the distance.

Answer: The Ents dont like to meddle in the affairs of others. The only reason they fought Saruman is because he was destroying their forest to fuel his war.
