Continuity mistake: After the slave driver killed his dog, Shaft goes full John Wick on him and it's stick fight time. In a surprising editing choice, the fight gets to the recruiter, you can see him getting knocked slightly off balance as Shaft pushes his opponent against the table, but then an anticlimactic close-up of the man is shown, with him looking into space as if he was checking out a fight happening meters away from him and not quite literally under his nose. After the completely incongruous close-up, in the next shot he's even seen pushing them off the table. (00:52:45)

Continuity mistake: Several men are in line for the 'job offer' by the slavers; at the bottom of the line in the shot when the recruiter is banging his pouch on the table, there's a guy with a shirt in horizontal beige/orange stripes and a long scarf. The same guy is shown entering the yard where the recruitment takes place only later, preceding Shaft and Kopo. (00:51:40)

Continuity mistake: The first time the slaver is setting his table up in the village to recruit workers, he is sitting down and starting to open the bag. Amazingly enough, the next shot has him just arriving from out of frame and banging the same bag on that table to call for attention. He'll sit down in another shot later, when Shaft's dog jumps in the line. (00:51:35)

Continuity mistake: In the village of Maiberra, two baddies dismount from a truck. You can see by the truck a series of women sitting against the wall. Shaft and his bodyguard arrive mere seconds after, but the natural light changed (look at the shadows on the wall), some women left and the curtain has been moved. (00:51:15)

Continuity mistake: Kopo talks to the "district headman" and turns his heels followed by Shaft. To the right of the venerable man you can see three men, two of them with long spears in hand. In the reverse shot when Kopo begins to explain the situation to Shaft, the three guys are chilling with the spears no longer in their hands, the one in the middle turned in the opposite direction (away from Shaft) than before. Continuity mistake: After leaving his belle, Shaft meets a man in the plains (Kopo, he says later). When that man lowers his stick, in the first shot (from distance) he's doing it simply letting the left hand go off it, but in the view with the camera right behind him, his motion is repeated more slowly and accompanying the stick with that hand for a longer period. Continuity mistake: In his secret mission, Shaft keeps meeting assassins perfectly tipped about his position. Once he murders the one on the bus elbowing him in the windpipe (which, as we know, causes instant silent death) he grabs his wallet. He puts it in his left hand, but as he pushes back the ex-assassin in order get up his right arm is in a different position and is now the one holding the wallet. (00:38:55)

Continuity mistake: In the scene with the tame lion at Shaft's arrival at the Ethiopian Hilton, the movements of the extras in the background are inconsistent from shot to shot (easy seen if you focus on the bright yellow valet loading the car trunk, which keeps having people appear and disappear by him). (00:31:55)

Continuity mistake: In the Paris toilet, Shaft is ambushed by a fearsome assassin dressed as a cleaning lady. Three shots are exploded against the door (two that we see, plus one pre-existing hole presumably from one of the first bullets) but when he barges in the stall the door has 4 holes. (00:28:50)

Continuity mistake: Shaft listens to all the info about the slave trade; Osiat always stands stoic without moving in single shots, hands on his stick pointed vertically before him, but between shots you can see the hands swapped position. A particularly obvious one since it's in a direct transition with camera on him happens when the Emir tells him to let his daughter in. There's a clear swap, and also a discontinuity when his hand suddenly is off the door handle. (00:22:10)

Continuity mistake: When Daphne says "Wow, sounds pretty intense" as a comment on the "GPA on steroids", her hair is in front of her shoulders; Mikayla responds, and Daphne's hair is gone from the right shoulder. Moreover, Spencer is holding his strap with his left hand, and he wasn't before. (00:08:55)

Continuity mistake: When Costas picks the photo with the street gang graffiti detail from the print tongs, he holds the picture by the top corner in the close-up, the side in the following shot. Then in another close-up, similar hands and tongs disposition, inconsistent with the frontal views. (01:19:40)

Continuity mistake: Cross begins his running game with the kidnapper. He says "I'm on my way to Sixth and Pennsylvania.", to which Jezzie goes "I'm left and behind ya, Alex." She is from behind using her right hand on the steering wheel, but she has the left on it in the following shot. (01:05:40)

Continuity mistake: After the fiasco that gets Athena super-popular, she is talking with Bonnie. When she says goodbye to sit at Kim's table, people on the background appear between shots (such as the black guy who was a shot earlier to the right of the frame, and suddenly is to the left). Continuity mistake: Aladdin, his friend and the princess have been captured and are in the presence of the self-appointed (through the genie) Sultan. The lighting of the scene differs between shots, with clear light areas in the front view of the trio and homogeneous shadow from the back view. (01:03:00)

Continuity mistake: The principal is trying to open the door of Soneji's office, but she can't. She is lowering the hand with the key and turning as she is told to "Stand back", but when Jezzie pulls out of the gun she is still hunched over with her hand on the key in the keyhole. (00:11:20)

Continuity mistake: Cross is talking with Jezzie in her apartment, holding several sheets. The sheets are at the same height in a certain camera angle (when he says "You do what you are", and then "you were born with a gift"), despite the fact that meanwhile he moved those sheets around. Continuity mistake: In the cliffhanger, Riddler is putting a vice around Robin's head and cranks it; in the close-ups he turns the mechanism between his fingers, while in the shot from behind Robin's head he is turning a little handle. The height the vice is placed at is also different. (00:24:20)

Continuity mistake: In front of the locker she broke into with Daphne, Velma holds Olivia's blue ribbon in her left hand. She turns towards the locker and is surprised by Two-Mop Maggie. She is not holding the ribbon in her hand anymore, and her right hand is covered by an oven mitt. (00:37:15)

Continuity mistake: An enraged mafia boss throws the billiard ball to Turnip, who ducks it. The ball after the impact with the door bounces off with a downward trajectory at sharp angle, and yet the next slapstick gag sees Binky, standing a few meters away, hit in the forehead by it. (00:34:20)
