Continuity mistake: During the poker game at the beginning, the positions of Robin and Buzz's cards change a few times - Buzz unveils his winning 4 Ks to the left of the deck, but it is to its right immediately after, and Robin's cards are on or a bit away from the table's border. (00:02:30)

Continuity mistake: Magnum asks Higgins "In the meantime, you're just gonna sit there sipping brandy, being terribly British?" Higgins answers "Yes!", cut to Magnum, hands crossed, then cut to Higgins finishing his glass, and then, all of a sudden and with the clock ticking all the way through in continuity, Magnum too is sitting there with a glass of brandy in hand. Continuity mistake: When Magnum says "Ah forget it" while TC and Rick are toweling him, there's a racer behind them who hops all happy. Next shot and she's waving the towel she had around her neck. (00:43:40)

Continuity mistake: Magnum during the surf ski race wears two different hats; first we see his Tigers hat (white logo), but then he has the yellow logo Da Nang hat - which he lost in the ocean during the season opener when the two "turkeys" capsized his craft. (00:42:00)

Continuity mistake: Magnum approaches Vivian and Higgins' table carrying an oar; during this wide shot the table has direct sunlight all over, but in other camera angles they are in the shade. (00:10:55)

Continuity mistake: Higgins outside the British shop is stammering. He says "But I..." and a blonde with sunglasses and a hair clip quickly walks behind him - nobody was walking towards them from that direction in the establishing shot. When a wider angle is again presented, there she is; that woman is approaching from that same direction. (00:07:15)

Continuity mistake: During their business meeting at the restaurant, Robby says that he's more like a "player-coach" to his team. From that point on you can notice (Keaton's hands were in the way before) that his glass is on the towel in one camera angle and in between his towel and Baron's in the other, switching each time the angles alternate. Continuity mistake: Saviano says that those priests used the collar to "rape kids." He says it and stretches his fingers, which are clutching the box in the next shot. (00:31:50)

Continuity mistake: Commenting the lucky putt, Michael Keaton says "I actually had my eyes closed." Rachel McAdams has her hands joined, which become a rather unnatural crossed wrists pose in the next shot. Similar mistake a moment later; cut and her hand from her lap is in writing position on the desk. (00:17:15)

Continuity mistake: At the 10:30 meeting, Baron makes his awkward introduction; he says "Hello", and the woman next to him has her hands flat on the desk, he goes on and her palms are raised. (00:08:55)

Continuity mistake: Hearing from Walter 'Robby' Robinson at the restaurant that they can take a couple months to come up with a story, Marty Baron stops writing and puts his hand down on the pad. Except, when it switches back to the previous angle, he's still writing. (00:06:45)

Continuity mistake: Mark Ruffalo just hung up the phone and the others are asking him about Cahill's story. The Marshall McLuhan book by him sticks a bit out from the stack at the beginning, but when Michael Keaton arrives, it is within bounds. (00:04:30)

Continuity mistake: Michael Keaton is giving the retiring colleague Stewart a bit of a friendly roast. When he says "The corner office is empty", the glasses in his pocket are pointing to the opposite direction than in the rest of the scene. (00:03:30)

Continuity mistake: Magnum sits on the couch's arm, by one of the sisters who is holding Higgins' book in her lap. On her lap, under the book, there's the handkerchief she used when she was having tea. In the closer angle, there's no hankie, while Madge's is open wider. (00:18:20)

Continuity mistake: Higgins mocks "Tommy", who in close-up rips the page of the notepad where he scribbled down the partial license plate. In a wider angle a few seconds later into the verbal exchanges he rips the page again. (00:18:05)

Continuity mistake: After the garage fiasco, Magnum sits down with the ladies who patronize him. During the scene, the sunglasses retainers run to the inside or the outside of the shirt collar, depending on the camera angle. (00:13:05)
