The Last Temptation of Homer - S5-E9

Trivia: At one point in this episode Homer is watching "Eye on Springfield" and Kent Brockman makes reference to Bill Clinton having an extramarital affair - more than 4 years before Clinton's affair with Monica Lewinsky became public knowledge.

Revealing mistake: When Jack and Ennis are cliff diving naked, if you look closely at Jack when they both run and jump off the cliff you'll see that it's not Jake Gyllenhaal but rather his stunt double.

Con Air (1997)

Con Air mistake picture

Continuity mistake: The last shot of the plane as it's taking off from the runway with Malloy's car attached to it is a flipped shot. Notice the logo and Jailbird writing near the nose of the plane are backwards.

Factual error: Neither Willie nor the human sacrifice victim show signs of significant perspiration when being lowered to the lava. They should have been sweating profusely after being close to the lava.

Phaneron

Factual error: Indy rescues Willie from the lava pit and immediately releases her from the cage. In reality the cage would be too hot to touch for several minutes after being that close to the lava.

The Punisher (2004)

Video

Revealing mistake: After The Russian smashes The Punisher's refrigerator door against his head a couple times, he shoves The Punisher to the floor and pushes the refrigerator door shut, but the refrigerator door suddenly and completely stops moving midway before closing, revealing the door to have a stopper built in so as to not actually hit the actor in the head with it (acknowledged by the director in the film's commentary track).

One on One - S5-E7

Revealing mistake: When Coach Norris matches Mark's dunk in their game of HORSE, you can tell that she uses a trampoline or some other kind of apparatus that's off screen to assist her in her jump.

Hangin' with Mr. Cooper mistake picture

Warriors: Part 2 - S1-E7

Factual error: When Charles Barkley says "Welcome to the NBA" after dunking on Mark, the ceiling shown above Barkley is way too low to be the ceiling for Haas Pavilion at UC Berkley where the game is being played. It only appears to be about 30 feet high.

Trivia: Although it's not explained in the movie, it was revealed in behind-the-scenes interviews that Magneto was the one that reapplied the adamantium to Wolverine's claws. In the comics, Magneto actually removed the adamantium from Wolverine's skeleton.

X-Men (1992)

Night of the Sentinels: Part 1 - S1-E1

Other mistake: In the scene where Professor X uses his psychic powers to deduce that Jubilee is trying to escape the mansion, there is a semi-dissolve edit that simultaneously shows a close-up of Professor X with his left hand on his forehead and a counterpart image of Jubilee hiding around the corner. If you look closely at Professor X in the counterpart image of Jubilee, his left arm and hand are shown to be on his hover-chair's armrest and not his forehead.

Trivia: When Quicksilver is breaking Magneto out of prison he states that his mom used to know a guy that could control metal, implying that Magneto is Quicksilver's father, just like in the comics.

The Mask (1994)

Video

Revealing mistake: When The Mask is dancing with Tina and he turns her into a human tornado while spinning her around, none of the onlookers in the crowd show the slightest bit of amazement at the impossible feat that just occurred in front of them, indicating that the extras were not directed to react to the special effects.

Brains and Eggs - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: When Ms. Dubcek is showing the Solomons the attic apartment in the pilot episode, they enter (and she later exits) through what is Dick's bedroom in all subsequent episodes. Additionally the staircase at the back of the living room that serves as an entry point is completely missing.

X-Men (1992)

Show generally

Continuity mistake: Archangel's alumni status (or lack thereof) with the X-Men varies throughout the series. Later episodes showed him to be an original member of the team just like in the comics, yet when he first appeared in Season 1, none of the other original members in the show (Cyclops, Jean Grey and Professor X) seem to know who he is. The time traveling mutant Shard also states in Season 4 that he is destined to eventually join the X-Men.
