Scream (2022)

Trivia: It is briefly mentioned that Sidney Prescott's former home is located on "Elm Street." This is a reference to the film "A Nightmare on Elm Street," which was directed by original "Scream" director Wes Craven. (Supposedly it was going to be mentioned in the original "Scream" as well, but the reference was cut for whatever reason).

Scream (2022)

Trivia: SPOILERS: In the climax, Amber is soaked in hand sanitizer and set in fire. Amber's actress Mikey Madison had previously appeared in Quentin Tarantino's "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" which came out less than three years prior... where her character is similar killed by being set on fire. (Albeit with a flamethrower.) Given Madison is only 22 and has only appeared in six live-action feature films... that's actually a pretty interesting (and darkly funny) coincidence.

Trivia: If you look closely, you can see a box containing Tatum Riley's ashes on a shelf in Dewey's home. Tatum was of course Dewey's sister who was killed in the original movie.

Scream (2022)

Trivia: The song "Red Right Hand" briefly plays during one of the murder scenes. The song has been featured in every other "Scream" movie except "Scream 4." (They wanted to include the song in the fourth film, but there was a copyright dispute behind the scenes and it could not be included).

Trivia: Sidney makes a brief passing reference to having a husband named "Mark." After hearing much fan speculation, the directors confirmed that her husband is indeed Mark Kincaid from "Scream 3," who was played by Patrick Dempsey.

Freaky (2020)

Continuity mistake: When Millie (in the Butcher's body) goes to see her friends for the first time, throughout the scene Josh has his phone in his right hand. When Millie appears and it cuts to Josh screaming, suddenly his phone briefly switches to his left hand, before switching back to his right hand in the very next shot. (There isn't enough time for him to have swapped hands between edits).

Freaky (2020)

Continuity mistake: When Millie and her friends are in the theater talking about the murders, when Josh mentions the rumor about the girl getting a carrot stuck in her vagina, Millie instantly goes from facing downwards to facing forwards between cuts.

Trivia: The demon effects were done by Carlo Rambaldi, who is arguably most famous for creating the design of the benevolent titular character from Steven Spielberg's "E.T."

13 Ghosts (1960)

Trivia: The exterior of the house was actually shot at the Winchester Mansion. (Albeit not at the main entrance.) The Winchester Mansion was owned and built by Sarah Winchester, who was convinced that she was being haunted by the ghosts of those that were killed by the Winchester rifles her family had created. Throughout her life, she had more and more construction done on the house, often creating stairways and doors leading to nowhere, to try to "trick" the ghosts and keep them from getting her.

Trivia: The machine is called "Sissy," which is short for "Sisyphus." In Greek mythology, Sisyphus was cursed to push a boulder uphill for eternity - every time he'd reach the top, it would roll back down and he'd have to start again. The use of the name "Sisyphus/Sissy" is a reference to the fact that Tree has to relive the same day over and over again, much like Sisyphus must push the rock up the hill over and over again.

TedStixon

Trivia: The costume designer threw in Easter-Eggs that most people never notice. When Tree wakes up in the other dimension, she's wearing the same clothes from the first movie, including a concert-tee. However, if you compare the shirts from the two movies, while the picture is the same, the words are slightly different. (Ex. A different venue is listed on the shirt.) This is to provide a subtle hint Tree is in another dimension. There are similar tiny changes in the other character's clothing, too.

TedStixon

Trivia: Just a funny bit of censorship to look for. In the film, Tree wears a shirt that says "FML" in one scene. For those who don't know, this is an abbreviation for the phrase "F**k my life," which is a phrase commonly used to express frustration when something bad happens. But because of its profane connotations, the shirt was digitally altered in trailers to instead say "OMG," which means the much less naughty "Oh my god."

Question: Is Chris Rock's beard throughout the film an appliance, or did Rock actually grow it out? (I know his goatee in the flashback is fake, I'm talking about the beard he has during all the modern day scenes.) I could swear I saw a little glue on his chin next to his beard in one scene, like it was an appliance, but I couldn't quite tell, so I didn't submit it as a mistake.

Freaky (2020)

Freaky mistake picture

Continuity mistake: During the final fight at the very end of the film, pay attention to Millie's bloody nose. At first, there's an equal amount on either side. But a few seconds later, the suddenly less blood on the left side of her face and more blood on the right side.

Freaky (2020)

Continuity mistake: This is a little difficult to explain, so I'll do my best. When Char makes Millie/Butcher open the jail cell, in the first shot (a side-shot) it's clear that Millie is about to grab the third bar in from the edge of the door. When it cuts to the front shot, she's suddenly grabbing the second bar in. Then when it cuts back to the side-shot, you can tell she just let go of the third bar in.

Freaky mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When Josh's mom is about to cut the Butcher/Millie out of the chair, pay attention to her right hand, which is holding the knife. Right before the Butcher/Millie springs up, as she's talking to her son, her arm goes from down by her side with the knife pointed down, to up by her chest instantly between cuts.

Freaky (2020)

Continuity mistake: When Josh is watching over the tied-up Butcher, he's sitting on the couch, eating snacks and watching TV. If you look, you can see he has a cut on his face to the side of his mouth. When he gets up to get a snack, the cut suddenly vanishes and is missing for the rest of the scene. The actor must have cut their face right before they shot the couch bit, and then the rest of the scene was filmed either after it healed, or before it happened.

Freaky (2020)

Revealing mistake: When Millie (in the Butcher's body) knocks out the Butcher (in Millie's body) with the mini-golf club, you can see the Butcher react to being hit a split-second before he/she's actually hit. Slow motion helps, but is not required.

Freaky (2020)

Continuity mistake: When Char begins chasing the car with Millie, Nyla and Josh, they are on an empty road and there are no other cars around. Instantly between cuts, they are suddenly on a different road, in a different area, and there are a ton of cars around. Char started chasing them almost instantly, so there's not enough time for them to suddenly be on a different road in a different area.
