Trivia: While most stayed in nearby hotels, several crew members, including makeup effects artist Tom Savini, actually stayed on the campgrounds and slept in the cabins during the shoot.

Friday the 13th (1980)
Trivia: The film's original title was "A Long Night at Camp Blood." Director Sean Cunningham then suggested "Friday the 13th," because it sounded more dramatic. The script was then re-worked slightly to justify the title change. Reportedly, they had to pay off the producers of the 1979 film "The Orphan" to use the title, as it was released as "Friday the 13th: The Orphan" in some territories.

The New Mutants (2020)
Trivia: The film has had a notorious post production - especially when it comes to the release date. The film was originally scheduled to be released in April 13, 2018. However, it was pushed back to February 19, 2019 to make time for reshoots. It was then pushed back to August 2, 2019 due to the Disney/Fox merger. It was subsequently pushed back again April 3, 2020 so it wouldn't come out so close to "Dark Phoenix." And then, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was pushed back again to August 28, 2020 - nearly two-and-a-half years after it was originally supposed to come out.

Harriet (2019)
Trivia: When the screenwriter was pitching the film back in the 90's, reportedly at one meeting an executive suggested in all seriousness that Julia Roberts should play Harriet Tubman. When another person in the room mentioned that it wouldn't make any sense for the (very white) Roberts to play the role of Tubman, he responded "It was so long ago! Nobody would know the difference!"

Species (1995)
Trivia: Creature designer H.R. Giger reportedly came up with the way Sil is killed off at the end. In the original script, Sil is merely set on fire with a flamethrower. Giger told the studio the ending was "weak," and suggested that her head should get blown off, and then her body should be burned up, leading to the ending seen in the finished film. Giger also suggested a more elaborate final battle set in a drive-in movie theater with members of the military storming the location, but it went unused for tone and budgetary reasons.

Species (1995)
Trivia: Young Sil is played by future movie-star Michelle Williams. However, she reportedly dislikes the film because she was terribly bullied by other children about being in it after it was released. It brings up too many bad memories for her.

Black Panther (2018)
Trivia: Wesley Snipes attempted to get a "Black Panther" movie made in the 90's. After issues finding a director and suitable script, as well as facing other hurdles with effects and costume design, he abandoned the project, and eventually pursued another Marvel character - Blade, which ended up turning into a popular film trilogy.

Black Panther (2018)
Trivia: During the first few days of filming on the waterfall set, many of the actors and extras began to have difficulty keeping their eyes open, and began experiencing pain, irritation and discomfort. The crew at first suspected there was too much chlorine being used in the water, but they eventually realised what was actually going on... it was so bright on set due to light reflecting off the water, everyone's eyeballs were getting sunburned. The studio then had to buy sunglasses for everyone to wear in-between shots.

Tenacious D: The Pick of Destiny (2006)
Revealing mistake: During the big chase, watch closely when the car goes over the ramp and does a flip. As soon as it lands, you can catch a brief glimpse of a partially-destroyed film camera (covered in black material) rolling along the ground. Its position on the road lines up with one of the previous shots, so it's definitely a camera. (It looks like the car landed on it and threw it along the ground).
