My Soul to Take (2010)

Trivia: The first film Wes Craven both wrote and directed since the release of "New Nightmare" 16 years earlier. It was also the final film Craven both wrote and directed before he tragically passed away. (While he did direct "Scream 4" the following year, he was not a credited writer on it).

Spider-Man (2003)

Trivia: Originally intended to be a stand-alone series that adapted the "Ultimate Spider-Man" comics. However, it was retooled slightly during pre-production to also serve as a sort-of tie-in to the popular 2002 "Spider-Man" movie by incorporating elements from it, down to even using a slightly modified version of the movie's title card font for the opening credits. However, the show was later rendered non-canonical due to the movie sequels contradicting it.

Chucky (2021)

Season 2 generally

Trivia: Something for the film score geeks - In season two, episode five, when Tiffany reveals the original Glen doll to the human version of Glen, for about thirty seconds in the background, you can faintly hear a new recording of the theme to "Seed of Chucky," the film where Glen/Glenda was first introduced. Later, in episode eight, when "G.G." is revealed in doll form, we again hear snippets of a new recording from the "Seed of Chucky" score. (Taken from the ending of the track "Pride of Chucky").

Spider-Man (2003)

Trivia: The show was actually a ratings hit for MTV, who distributed it. However, despite its popularity, the network decided to cancel it as network executives felt it didn't quite fit in with their other content. Sadly, this meant the show ended on a cliffhanger.

Scream VI (2023)

Trivia: The bodega in the film is called "Abe's Snake Bodega." This is a deep cut reference to original "Scream" director Wes Craven. In the early-to-mid 1970's, Craven worked as a crew member on several pornographic films to make ends meet, and he used the name "Abe Snake" as a pseudonym.

Scream VI (2023)

Trivia: The directors studied "Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan" during pre-production to figure out what they could do to avoid running into similar issues, as that film is widely disliked for failing to take advantage of its New York City setting. The directors jokingly said their biggest takeaway from that film was that they "wanted to make sure that we didn't have a boat in this!" (That film notoriously is mostly set on a boat, with only the final 20 minutes being in New York).

Scream VI (2023)

Trivia: Since the movie takes place around Halloween, during the subway scene, you can see random people dressed up in costumes as various horror movie characters and monsters. In at least one shot, you can also see a woman in the background dressed up as Grace from the movie "Ready or Not." "Ready or Not" and "Scream VI" were made by the same producing and directing team. Additionally, Samara Weaving, who played Grace in "Ready or Not," has a cameo in the movie as a film studies professor.

Scream VI (2023)

Trivia: When Gale and Sam are talking at the theater and are referencing making a new family even after losing someone they care for, in the background you can faintly hear Dewey's theme from the previous films.

Scream VI (2023)

Trivia: The first film in the series in which Ghostface uses a gun while still masked. Up until this film, it was an "unwritten rule" in the series that while masked, Ghostface would only use classic slasher weapons like knives, or the environment around him to kill. Ghostface would only be allowed to use guns when unmasked. The directors decided to break this rule in order to make Ghostface feel like a bigger, much more realistic threat than ever before... he'd break his own rules to get his targets.

Scream VI (2023)

Trivia: The first credited acting role for Hayden Panettiere in five years. Panettiere had taken a four-year hiatus from acting starting in 2018 to work on her physical and mental health after a series of personal issues. When she found out the "Scream" franchise was being brought back in 2022, she called the directors and pitched the idea that her character Kirby could return in a future installment. While her cameo in that film was cut, the directors promised she'd be back for the sixth film.

Continuity mistake: When Specs starts the process of trying to hypnotize Imogen, after he makes his "E.T." jokes, as it cuts back and forth between him and Imogen, his hand is either raised or lowered instantly depending on the angle.

Continuity mistake: When Elise finds the skull in the suitcase, she's holding it above the center of the case. When it cuts to the opposite angle, suddenly she's holding it over the side of the case.

Continuity mistake: When Tucker prices the fan out of the wall, he places his flashlight down inside of the vent, and it's pointed slightly to the right side of screen. When we see the suitcase hidden in the vent few shots later, we can see the flashlight's beam hitting it right around the center... which is impossible from the direction the flashlight was facing in the opposite camera angle.

Visible crew/equipment: When Elise has a vision of Gerald holding a girl captive in the basement, after he makes her drink the fluid to make her sleep, he turns and walks out of the room. As he does so, you can briefly see the tip of a boom mic dip into frame twice from above camera.

TedStixon

Continuity mistake: When Elise walks over to the grated fan and finds something inside, the way she's holding the front of the fan changes instantly between cuts. (Her hand lowers a good 8 inches between cuts).

Audio problem: When Elise sends Specs and Imogen to get the bible from upstairs, Tucker protests, saying "he gets bible camp with the most beautiful girl on earth...", but his mouth movements don't quite match the words "he gets bible camp", revealing the line was re-recorded in post. (The rest of the line matches, but not those four words).

TedStixon

Continuity mistake: When Elise leaves the interview with the detective at the hospital, his hand goes from up and holding a pen to down flat on the table holding nothing instantly between cuts.
