Continuity mistake: When the song 'Under the sea' begins, Ariel is sitting on a rock. The amount of purple flowers on the sides, specially on the right side, change drastically between shots: They appear, disappear, reappear, change flowers, then to algae.

Other mistake: After the storm, Grimsby helps Eric walk away from the beach while Ariel sings. Every time the shot back goes to those two they are on the same spot, though their legs move as if walking, giving the sense that they're on a treadmill.

Continuity mistake: After the shipwreck, Grimsby grabs Eric and walks him away, between a rocky wall in the beach. When the angle cuts, the rocky wall is gone and the whole area is wider.

Continuity mistake: After having dinner with Eric, Ariel watches in the balcony. From the wide angle, the size of the window panes is very tall, but from the close-up it's much smaller.

Continuity mistake: When Scuttle watches human-Ariel wearing a sail for a dress, the rope, seaweed and plank in front changes for something else (looks like iron on wood or something).

Continuity mistake: When Ariel first sees the fireworks, they are coming from the boat, but when the angle changes and the boat has moved along, they are being fired from the same spot, though now it's set in the middle of the sea, which is absurd. Some animator screwed it badly.

Continuity mistake: When Eric washes up on the beach, he is either laying on a very small and narrow beach, or in a vast wide area, depending on the shot. This keeps changing back and forth.

Continuity mistake: When Sebastian escapes from the dip, the sauce has a white colour. When he throws the bowl over Louis' head it's changed to brown colour.

Continuity mistake: After the shipwreck, when Ariel sings, moss suddenly appears on the rock right below her hands.

Continuity mistake: When Grimsby walks Eric away from the beach, and Ariel sings, the rock where she stands changes from a slim pointy rock, to a squared bulky block between shots.

Continuity mistake: When the storm breaks, in the wide angle showing how a lightning lights the side of the ship, Ariel and Scuttle have disappeared, only to reappear in the following close-up.

Continuity mistake: On the boat, Eric steps by the window where Ariel is peeping, yet when the angle changes he is several meters to the left, where the rope ladder is.

Continuity mistake: When Ariel takes Flounder out of the porthole, a broken log forming a big crack suddenly appears above him.

Continuity mistake: When Eric's dog comes running on the beach and scares Ariel, Flounder, Scuttle, and Sebastian, all the stuff around them (logs, barrels, iron parts) disappears.

Continuity mistake: When Scuttle examines the fork, Ariel's bag suddenly disappears, only to reappear when he blows the pipe.

Continuity mistake: When Flounder gets trapped in the porthole, from the angle outside there are two wooden beams 20 cm away from each side. From inside the ship, the distance has increased to a meter.

Continuity mistake: When the film starts, Ariel sets eyes on a sunken ship with a basement access on the deck, and a broken and skewed door on it. When she swims towards the boat, basement and door are gone.
