Corrected entry: The mistake in the film comes at the end of the movie where our main character (Douglas Hall) picks up a newspaper with a date that reads "Monday June 21, 2024". June 21 of 2024 falls on a Friday, not a Monday.
Corrected entry: This is only on the new DVD. When the 4 Tie Fighters are attacking the Millennium Falcon, there are shots of the Tie Fighters with a faded red box that surrounds them.
Correction: That's a generic DVD artefact problem caused by the video compression - it's only more pronounced in this scene because the background is a fairly solid black. It'll be most obvious on LCD screens.
Corrected entry: There seems to be a mystery surrounding Hagen. Although he dies by being shot and stabbed at Proximo's home, when Maximus dies, we see someone looking suspiciously like him come forward to carry Maximus. Does he have a long-lost twin, or is he immortal? (02:20:55)
Correction: He certainly looks like Hagen, but it isn't him.
Corrected entry: After Tavington is down by the creek shaving, he comes back up the hill and gets on his horse. He is supposed to be sticking something in his chest pocket, but you can clearly see it miss and fall to the ground.
Correction: That's his straight razor he loses. And people can actually do this in real life, especially with the stress of being under attack and unarmed.
Corrected entry: One of the murdered men is described in news reports as being a "Vietnam vet" pilot, and then his birthdate on the website is shown as 1955, making him a little young to have been in Vietnam (which ended in 1975) as a pilot.
Correction: Why? There were plenty of 18 year old pilots in Vietnam, or he could have done like my father in WWII and lied about his age to get in a year or so early.
Corrected entry: At the end of the Georgia Tech game, when the Irish need to get the defense back on the field so Rudy can play, and a half-back pass play is called, the quarterback speaks to Jamie O'Hara, the Notre Dame half-back, played by Vince Vaughn, and doesn't call him "Jamie" but instead calls him by the actor's name, "Vinnie." (01:45:40)
Correction: He calls him Jamie, it's just hard to hear over the crowd and other players.
Corrected entry: A little more than half way in, right after the store closes, Tom Hanks' character and girlfriend are getting into an elevator (this is the scene where the elevator gets stuck). As they walk into the elevator, Hanks says "Hello Joe" to the elevator man, whose name is Charlie. It's Hanks' character who is named Joe.
Correction: I listened to this scene carefully and he definitely calls the elevator man Charlie. He just does it very quickly.
Corrected entry: Although Peter is right handed, he wears his scabbard on his right hip. It's extremely dangerous to draw from the same side as your stronger hand, even with a fairly short knife. Strangely, the only time we actually see him draw his knife, it has swapped to his left hip and he draws it across his body correctly.
Correction: Just like Bobby Driscoll, who was modeled and did the voice for Peter Pan, we only see Peter draw from his right side. Even if it is dangerous there is no adult to tell Peter that, so it's not a mistake.
Corrected entry: When Vassily is invited to the old lady and the boy's house, the lady hears something, and blows the candle, but it's still light in the room for about a second after the light's out.
Correction: The reason the room remains lit is that it takes that second for the flame to be extinguished. She's blowing into a lamp that's nearly a foot tall - the flame wouldn't be extinguished instantaneously.
Corrected entry: When the animals are helping Snow White to clean the cottage, some birds bring big yellow flowers and put them in a blue vase on the table. When the dwarfs arrive and Bashful takes the flowers to smell, the flowers are completely different from those that the birds have brought and the vase is brownish and small.
Correction: It's a different vase of flowers. It's hardly unreasonable to think that the birds, who are taking very good care of the dwarves' cottage, would have collected more than one.
Corrected entry: When Richard is trying to go back in time, the picture above him (that was removed earlier) appears above the bed in one quick shot, then is gone again in the next shot.
Correction: Not true. I watched the whole sequence twice. At no point does the picture re-appear. You must be thinking of the picture from the past that appears very hazily as he is trying to go back in time.
Corrected entry: In the scene when he wants to interrupt the 2nd murderer he uses a Mastercard to open the door - at that time they were still called MasterCharge.
Correction: In frame-by-frame viewing on DVD, it shows as the era-correct "MasterCharge".
Corrected entry: In the scene where the Jamaicans are watching the bobsled team in action, we can see the blackboard monitoring the countries times. Russia is one of the countries, however in 1988 Russia was not formed and was known as the USSR.
Correction: At the time the terms USSR, Soviet Union, and Russia were commonly used interchangably, so it is possible and entirely plausible that the listing of USSR is as Russia.
Corrected entry: In the scene where Tom and Sarah are in France, Tom is trying to fit the American plug in the European socket, the electricity goes out and all of the hotel is in darkness. How come Tom and Sarah's room is perfectly well lit?
Correction: At the start of that scene we see the windows in that room and it is extremely bright outside.
Corrected entry: In the scene where Vinny and Lisa are in the hotel room and Vinny is revealing that he is scared about the trial, Lisa kisses Vinny goodnight and crawls in the bed. As she reaches over to turn off the lamp on the night stand, it shows an ash tray with cigarette butts in it. Neither Lisa or Vinny smoke in the entire movie. (00:47:40)
Correction: Just because they are never SHOWN smoking doesn't mean that neither of the characters do not smoke. Not a mistake.
Corrected entry: During the mattress surfing game the Princess goes down on a flower mattress but arrives at the bottom on a striped mattress. (00:58:30)
Correction: The mattress surfing scene is full of quick cuts; when Princess Mia sides down, it was in two separate occurences.
Corrected entry: When Pee Wee goes into the magic shop right before his bike is taken, the letters that read the name of the shop on the glass door are facing the wrong way (the letters are facing inside, making it look backwards outside)
Correction: In the deleted scene "Amazing Larry" we see at the end of the scene as the door is opened that the glass is actually tinted and therefore what is on the inside of the glass would not be seen from the outside. There is actually lettering on the outside of the glass facing outward as well as the lettering facing inside that we see in the actual movie.
Corrected entry: When Kevin Costner leaves the function near the start of the movie with the female star they take a taxi. Costner sits to the left of the female. The camera switches to the driver - returns to the seat and Costner has "moved" places, before they have begun to "get acquainted".
Correction: After the shot faces the driver it then shows what the driver sees in the mirror, thus Kevin is on the opposite side of the girl as it is a mirror image. The camera then switches back to Kevin and the girl in the back seat and they are sitting the correct way, with Kevin on the left.
Corrected entry: When the old guys snags the "big one" and realizes he needs to run his chair disappears from shot to shot. (00:24:40)
Correction: The only time the chair is hard to see is the shot from well behind him, looking at the approaching swell, but the chair is there, tho faintly visible with all the rain in the shot.
Corrected entry: When they shoot the "Jay Leno" zombie in the head, as the piece of scalp flies up from his head, a grey/silver piece of tubing is visible underneath the prosthetic - maybe an explosive charge? (00:17:05)
Correction: It wouldnt be a piece of tubing or anything, because thats not how they did the head explosion trick. they put a fake piece of brain under two flaps of "scalp" that open like a trap door, they tied a string to the fake piece of brain, and yanked it out, making it look like he was being shot. the gray thing you saw must have been a chunk of brain or something.
Correction: Since our world is just a simulation, and you can see this newspaper in the "real" world, it is possible that June 21, 2024 is a Monday.
