Teen Wolf picture

Corrected entry: During the championship game, one of the final shots shows Scott's dad coming out of the crowd to congratulate him. There is a fan behind him who stands up to cheer and deliberately exposes her underwear to the camera. (01:25:15)

Correction: This isn't a mistake and there's no deliberate exposure of the underwear. It's not uncommon for some people in tight jeans to undo the buttons when sitting. As she stood up, she was just rebuttoning her jeans.

National Lampoon's Vacation picture

Corrected entry: In the scene in Kansas, where the Griswolds are first meeting Cousin Eddie's family, he introduces them to Daisy Mabel, who was born without a tongue. Only thing is, right before he introduces her, you can see her looking at Clark and sticking her tongue out at him and rolling it around her mouth.

Correction: When Eddie says she was "born without a tongue," he means she can't speak, not that she literally doesn't have a tongue. (It's like using the word "dumb" as an un-PC way to say "can't speak." It's not meant to imply that the person is unintelligent.)

Halloween II picture

Corrected entry: The security guard is sent to find the reason the phones do not work in the hospital. A couple of scenes later, you see a nurse chatting on a hospital phone.

Correction: This is not really true, as the only time this occurs in the order of which you speak is during the "made-for-television" Halloween II, which is the actual Halloween II, but many scenes and events are out of sequence, others are fused together (which never were in in the original theatre format) to make the film shorter, and certain scenes (such as the telephone scene you speak of) only appear on the made-for-television Halloween II.

The Irishman picture

Corrected entry: When looking at a map, Frank discusses how they will drive up Rt. 476. 476 was not built until the late 1980s.

Correction: Partly wrong. Bill Buffalino's daughter was married in 1975. Frank was shown plotting a travel course from Philadelphia to Detroit. He mentions traveling "476 out of Philly." Route 476 has never touched Philadelphia, ever. Route 476 did exist in the early to mid-70s as a local 2+2 divided highway that connected the Schuylkill Expressway in Montgomery County to the PA Turnpike (Rt 276 East-West.) Route 476 going from Chester/I-95 to the Turnpike didn't exist until the Mid-County Expressway was opened in 1992 and the part that went to Pittston wasn't officially designated I-476 until 1996 (previously Route 9/Northeast Extension).

Correction: Both, front & rear hubcabs, fall off. Front when driving past the fence. Rear when car hits the water revealing white wheels.

Tarzan picture

Corrected entry: When Tarzan and Clayton are in the tree fighting and Tarzan gets the gun, he breaks it on the tree. Or does he? On the DVD it appears in slow motion that the gun breaks before it hits the tree, right where it would hit Clayton's crotch. Ow.

Correction: The rules of this site are perfectly clear - if you have to use slow motion to spot it, it is not a mistake.

Beaches picture

Corrected entry: When CC goes to John's house as a singing telegram, she enters the building with a basket in her hand. She puts it down outside the door, and doesn't pick it up again, even when she comes down the stairs with him. When she leaves the building, she has the basket again.

Correction: She could have left it by the door, went upstairs empty handed, and then picked it up again as she left.

Elizabeth picture

Corrected entry: The movie implies that Mary of Guise was murdered by Walsingham in bed. In reality, she died of dropsy (the collection of fluid in the body cavities and/or tissues).

Krista

Correction: The movie implies it was murder, as Mary of Guise died suddenly and nobody really knows of what cause. It was Mary (so as not to confuse which one, daughter of Henry VIII by Catherine of Aragon) who had dropsy. This caused her to become bloated and led her to believe continually that she was pregnant.

Vertigo picture

Corrected entry: When Scottie (James Stewart) and Madeleine (Kim Novack) are driving down the San Francisco Peninsula to the Spanish Mission, a back projection mistake has them driving on the left side of the road. (01:11:50)

Correction: That particular section of US 101, just west of Hollister, CA, is a divided highway, 2 lanes on each side, with very tall trees on either side and on the median.

The Jackal picture

Corrected entry: Near the end of the movie, the Jackal tries to kill the first lady in Washington. He is wearing a police uniform and you can see the bullet proof vest underneath his shirt. When he enters the subway station he is still wearing his clothes, and gets shot in the stomach by Richard Gere. But where is the vest?

Correction: He's not wearing a vest - what appears like it, is simply the cut of the jacket. Throughout the park scene preceding the subway scene, where he's just wearing a shirt, there's no vest suggested under the shirt.

Black Christmas picture

Corrected entry: With all the high winds and snowy conditions, there is about a 1 in 1000 chance that when Dana drops the cigarette, it would go perfectly into the small hole.

Correction: Improbably, but not impossible, so it's not a mistake.

Vertical Limit picture

Corrected entry: I'm no explosives expert, but when Chris O'Donnell fills the hole with nitro, he does it in the most dangerous way possible, pouring a stream of it into the centre of the pool from a distance of 1-2 feet up. You should bring the can as close to the target as possible, maybe pouring it down the side of the sloped hole to minimise splashing and agitating the liquid. Or at least tell your girlfriend to not stand right beside you when you do it...

Correction: Well he's no explosives expert either. For a start he is in such a rush to get to his dying sister maybe he just doesn't think straight and pours it the way he thinks is safe enough.

The-Immortal

More Vertical Limit corrections

Correction: Character mistake. He wasn't keeping track of time. Bruce Willis was, but it is very possible he let Tantino's character go 22 seconds over the time limit to let Chester (Tarantino) finish his sell. Remember, Leo (Bruce Willis) was also very excited to get the bet underway, so he cheated a little to give Chester more time to convince Ted to "be the diceman".

Broken Arrow picture

Corrected entry: Heroes enter underground river which carries them to safety, 2000ft up hill.

Correction: Some underground streams do in fact go uphill if there is pressure from above or below forcing it up. Geysers and bore holes are extreme examples of this.

Saving Private Ryan picture

Corrected entry: At the end of the movie, a soldier bends down and takes a piece of paper from Captain Miller. The soldier's helmet has a net on it, but then a far shot shows him wearing a plain helmet.

Correction: There is still net on the helmet, only since it's a far shot you have to look closely to see it. It is there though.

Ali (2001)

Ali picture

Corrected entry: When Ali has a fights with his third wife, you can clearly see the ocean from the windows. They are both supposed to be in Zaire, which is a landlocked country.

Correction: Kinshasa, (former) Zaire's capital, is situated next to the Congo stream. What you see is this river, not the ocean.

Armageddon picture

Corrected entry: In the film, there was a reference to a "French space agency." Unfortunately, there's no such thing, and the closest is the European Space Agency which has its headquarters in Paris.

Correction: There is a "French Space Agency", it's called Centre National d'Etudes Spatiales (CNES).

Aladdin picture

Corrected entry: When Aladdin and Jasmine are singing "A Whole New World" they pass in front of a full moon on the magic carpet, and when they pass over water the reflection is of a crescent moon.

Correction: They don't pass in front of a full moon. It is a crescent moon with the rest of the moon lit by a da Vinci glow (light reflected from the Earth). Some people tried to correct this because they think the moon is in different phases depending on where in the world you are. Definitely not the case, as shown on https://sciencesy.com/pages/phases-of-the-moon. Because the moon's always facing the earth, and its phase is determined by where the sun is in relation to it, it doesn't matter where you're standing.
