Continuity mistake: In the desert when we first see Lone Star and Barf carrying the luggage, Barf has two bags basically under his arms, with the straps over his shoulders. In the next shot the smaller bag has shifted over almost in front of him and the strap has dropped around his arm and chest.

Continuity mistake: When Joe is on the ledge with the jumper and his mom says to wave, we see Joe and the jumper waving with their left hands. In the next shot Joe is waving with his right hand, the jumper's left hand is down, and Joe is in front of the window instead of the brick column.

Question: With many of the actors playing central characters reprising their roles, does anyone know why the princesses were re-cast?

Chosen answer: Kimberley Kates (who played Elizabeth in the first film) said in an interview on a B&T fan podcast that she and Diane Franklin were scheduled to reprise the roles, but then heard that they had been recast. She believed it was because the English director Peter Hewitt did not like English characters being played by American actresses.

Continuity mistake: When Doyle pulls the gun out of the desk drawer, he opened the drawer all the way and never closed it. But when he's aiming the gun at Dutch, the drawer is closed. Then in other shots, the drawer is back to being pulled out, but not all the way.
