Trivia: Wade asks the computer to locate his friend Aech, and finds that he's on the PvP planet known as Planet Doom. DOOM is the game that popularized the first person shooter genre, following on from Wolfenstein 3D which was the first ever FPS, both made by the company ID Games. (00:05:10)

Ready Player One (2018)

Trivia: Just before asking the computer to locate his friend Aech, Wade as Parzival is walking along a bridge. Beside him you can see Hello Kitty with two of her friends, Badtemaru and Keroppi walking along with him. Hello Kitty can also be seen again once Parzival enters the Halliday Journals building the first time in the film sitting at a desk studying with someone else. In addition, there is also a Hello Kitty sticker on Art3mis' bike. (00:05:00 - 00:22:50)

Ready Player One (2018)

Trivia: After Wade introduces his own avatar, it shows a line of people waiting by a portal. Just before Tracer shows up to the portal, you can see Sonic the Hedgehog standing towards the back of the line tapping his foot in the famous idle animation from the original game where he would tap his foot impatiently if the player left him standing still for too long. Trivia: After Wade introduces the audience to his OASIS avatar, it shows a line of people heading to a smaller portal. Tracer from the game Overwatch, and arguably the face of Overwatch, zooms up to the portal and strikes a pose before she zooms into it with her time powers. Tracer is also seen at the dance club once Parzival changes the song to a disco number, and again is seen during the final battle. (00:04:55)

Trivia: After Wade puts on the goggles to go into the OASIS, the scene goes through a tennis ball shaped planet of sports where some hang gliders swoop down from a ledge for the Hurricane Hang Gliding and into a hurricane. Immediately you can see Dorothy's house from Wizard of Oz fly by, reenacting it being lifted into the air by the tornado in that movie. (00:03:50)

Ready Player One (2018)
Continuity mistake: When Wade opens up his hidden game room in a junk van, you get a clear view of the stuff inside it. It's a bit difficult to see, but on the left there is a white lamp next to the gray face sensor thing that he puts around his neck visible there. Once he turns the power on and leans that direction, it cuts to a close up of the face sensor by that white lamp and suddenly a hanging red lamp appears next to it. It was not just off in the previous shot, if you look closely it's just not there at all. As you should be able to see its red hanging structure and metal next to the other items. (00:02:40)

Ready Player One (2018)

Continuity mistake: Right in the beginning, Wade hops out a window from his home and starts walking beside it to the edge to climb to the next level down. As he starts walking he passes by another window with a curtain. It then cuts to a closer angle and suddenly the window no longer has a curtain. Also a wire appears on the wall in front of him. And you can tell it is the same house, not a time jump, as the rust at the top of the window frame is exactly the same. (00:01:15)

The Legend of Zelda (1989)

The Ringer - S1-E1
Continuity mistake: Link gets pinned to the wall by a Moblin and the camera pulls back in a different cut. In that shot the second window that was in the room earlier as Link was walking up to the first window has vanished. Also the window Link is at changes color from a green tinted wood to just brown. The Legend of Zelda (1989)

The Ringer - S1-E1
Continuity mistake: When Link gets thrust against the window and held by a Moblin, the camera quickly pans down showing a brief shot of the Moblin's face with Link's hands. In that brief moment, there is an odd black circle, possibly a shadow of some sort behind the Moblin's head, similar to the old Icons put in religious paintings in older times. It then cuts to a different angle and this shadow is gone, and there doesn't appear to have been anything that would make that shadow in the first place. Also, it appears the Moblin is holding Link's arms differently between shots but the first glimpse is so fast and not showing enough for it to be conclusive. (00:02:10)

The Legend of Zelda (1989)

The Ringer - S1-E1
Continuity mistake: As Link is watching Zelda walk away from his tower window, a Moblin reaches out from behind him and pulls him inside, the window then being shut. Link is then thrust against the closed window in the next shot, and now by comparing the size of Link's head to it, the window is now significantly smaller. (00:02:10)

The Legend of Zelda (1989)

The Ringer - S1-E1
Continuity mistake: Spryte brings a robe out for Zelda, who looks over at the fairy from a side angle. That shot shows that her gown is still up over and covering her right shoulder. It cuts to a different angle before she puts the robe on and suddenly her right shoulder is exposed. (00:01:55)

The Legend of Zelda (1989)

The Ringer - S1-E1
Continuity mistake: When Spryte brings out a robe for Zelda to put on, the ring of roses around her head changes, with there being fewer leaves, and the roses being more bunched up together and apparently more of them. The number and position of the leaves and roses is also never consistent through that whole scene. Sometimes leaves blinking in and out of existence as she moves her head. (00:01:55)

The Legend of Zelda (1989)

The Ringer - S1-E1
Continuity mistake: Zelda has on two red earrings at the start when she's standing on the balcony in her gown. When Link whistles at her, scaring the bird away, she turns and looks up. It cuts to an over the shoulder view from her to Link and her earrings disappear. (00:01:45)

The Legend of Zelda (1989)

The Ringer - S1-E1
Revealing mistake: Link looks down from his window and sees Zelda. Zelda then has a bird fly up and land on her hand. It cuts to a different angle before Link whistles at her and for a few frames before Zelda moves her hand, the bird is now not even on her hand, but apparently just hovering in the air beside it. The Legend of Zelda (1989)

The Ringer - S1-E1
Continuity mistake: When Link looks out of his window and sees Zelda below, he places his hands on the edge of his window. His right hand is out in the light. It then cuts to a behind the shoulder view and now his right hand is up further and in the shadows. (00:01:40)

The Legend of Zelda (1989)

The Ringer - S1-E1
Continuity mistake: Link stands in front of his mirror with his arms folded, whining about his life. In this shot the top of the mirror is almost completely level with the posts. It cuts to a close up of his reflection and suddenly the top of the mirror is much taller than the top of the posts. Also it appears some bolts appear on the posts themselves and the one on the left is in the wrong position. (00:01:25)
