Continuity mistake: The compound of huts seems to be very close to the beach, as the Professor, Skipper and Gilligan look out and can see it. Other times, it's a fair distance away through the jungle and obscured.
Other mistake: After Gilligan gets up to take the sand to Mary Ann, the camera closes in on the box lid. After it does, the picture goes into a freeze frame because the ripples in the water of the lagoon stop dead still for the few seconds until the dissolve into the next scene.
Other mistake: When the crane arm is going through the front of the building with the T-800 on the hook, the final corner column has an explosion and begins to collapse before the arm gets there.
Continuity mistake: The hook for the crane alternates between secured and free between shots. Also, the crane boom switches positions between shots too quickly.
Trivia: As Ginger, the Professor, Mrs. Howell, and Skipper talk, look at the handled device on top of the cabinet. It's the valve created in Season 2, Episode 25, "Steam Heat", when the Castaways thought there was a hot spring on the island, and wanted hot water for bathing and dishes.
Trivia: After Spock's funeral, the shot of the Enterprise coming toward the camera is a re-use of the shot after V'ger evolved at the end of The Motion Picture.
Trivia: In the Genesis cave, Bones responds to Saavik's question with "You are looking at the only Starfleet cadet who ever beat the No-Win Scenario." This is later expanded on in the novel "The Kobiyashi Maru", where Kirk, Bones, Sulu, Chekov, and Scotty are adrift in a shuttle craft, and Kirk tells his story of how he won. He asked that it be kept secret because "if anyone tries this again, Starfleet will know where they got the idea." They were going to expel him for this, but gave him the commendation because they wanted commanders who could think on their feet.
Trivia: As the shuttle with Kirk and company approaches the Enterprise in Space dock, Sulu says "I'm delighted. Any chance to go aboard the Enterprise..." According to IMSDb.com, there was a full dialog between Kirk and Sulu in the original script. The rest of Sulu's line was "however briefly, is always a chance for nostalgia." Kirk also told Sulu the he had cut the orders for Sulu to Captain the Excelsior.
Other mistake: As the turbo lift doors open for Joachim to say his line, the diagram of the lift system on the back wall is of the Enterprise's system.
Other mistake: On the Reliant, as the woman turns and goes to activate the transporter, the blue diagram on the monitor above and to the right of her head is the port and top diagnostic views of the Enterprise, rather than the Reliant.
Revealing mistake: After crippling the Enterprise, the Reliant comes around again. As it does, the star field behind it can be seen through the black area of the inside of the nacelle.
Guinan: I hear they drummed you out of the Continuum.
Q: I like to think of it as a significant career change.
Guinan: Just 'one of the boys', eh?
Q: One of the boys with an I.Q. of two thousand and five. Data: The Captain, and many of the crew, are not yet convinced he is truly human.
Guinan: Really? [Picks up a fork and stabs Q's hand.]
Q: AAARGH!
Guinan: Seems human enough to me.
Continuity mistake: After Wimpy and the Undertaker grab things off the sideboard, Papa Oyl can be seen at the table in the mirror. As the camera cuts to the dining room, he can be seen coming to the table.
Continuity mistake: When talking to Ral, Riker takes a sip of his drink, sets the glass down, and clasps his hands. A second later, he repeats clasping his hands.
Continuity mistake: As the Professor sends Duke off, he gives the island's position as 110° Latitude, 10° Longitude. In "X Marks the Spot" (S1: E: 19), the position is given as 140° Latitude, 10° Longitude.
Continuity mistake: As the women are packing up to move out, Mr. Howell says he and Lovey have been married for nineteen years. As the men are trying to get to sleep, he says they were married twenty-two years.
