Continuity mistake: As Cat yells, and after the swinging sequence, the kids are dropping their piñata bats. As the camera cuts to a few shots of close ups on the kids, you see no bats in their hands. After the shot widens out, you see the kids drop their bats again.

The Cat in the Hat (2003)

The Cat in the Hat (2003)

The Cat in the Hat (2003)
Other mistake: When the Cat is using the periscope to look at Nevins, the range on it reads between forty-nine point two meters, and fifty-two point four meters. These distances translate into just over one hundred sixty-one, and one hundred seventy-one feet respectively. The kids and the Cat were no more than about fifty to sixty feet at best away from Nevins.
Suggested correction: Its more plausible the device isn't calibrated properly, after all it's not like they're going to lob something that requires pin point accuracy such as a bomb for example. That and the fact the cat is keen to make a huge mess at every opportunity suggests he probably made a mess of calibrating the periscope too.

Star Trek (1966)
Plot hole: Because of the magnetic ore on the work clothes of the man who beamed up, the transporter made duplicates of everything put through it, and so couldn't be used. This was further complicated by the control and power circuits being blasted by the "evil" Kirk. However, the ship carries a number of shuttle craft, which no-one mentions.

Star Trek (1966)
Revealing mistake: When the "pleasant" Kirk and Spock go down to the engineering level to get the "animal" Kirk, they split up and "pleasant" Kirk meets the "animal" face to face. As he steps out from behind a screen type wall, you can see that the "animal" Kirk is really Shatner's stunt double helping to fill the double role. This can also be told by the size difference when the two are close together and the shot is from behind the double.
