Visible crew/equipment: When dad hits the hubcap out of Ralphie's hands, as it spins, you can see the light rigs reflected in it.

Other mistake: When the leg lamp is set up and turned on, the entire leg lights up. Trouble is, when you first see it, you can see there is no light in it, nor a fixture. Later, after it is broken, you again see no lighting of any kind in the leg. I don't think the light from its position on top of the leg would have illuminated the leg all the way down to the shoe at the bottom.

Other mistake: When dad comes home with the telegram saying that he won a "major award", look at the car. There is snow piled up on the top of the car, the windshields, and the hood, at least an inch thick. Even then, the hot engine would make the hood warm up, and in turn, melt at least some of the snow. And the windshields look like there was enough snow removed to guide the car, instead of removing as much as possible for safety. It looks like the car was simply pushed from off camera.

Continuity mistake: After Ralphie and Randy had gotten away from Farkus, Ralphie checks the mailbox for his decoder ring. After seeing that he was "skunked again", he closes the box, goes inside, and the camera pans to see Randy coming. If you look closely, the suit is totally free of any dusting of snow.

Visible crew/equipment: When Ralphie comes into the kitchen, he passes in front of the camera. As he does so, you can see the shadow of the camera on him.

Other mistake: Anytime Hogan steals one of Klink's cigars from the back of the humidor, he takes the hinge pin out from the left of the box (camera's right). This time, he takes out the pin, got the cigar, and put the pin back in from just what looked like just left (camera's right) of center.

Continuity mistake: When accessing the tunnel entrance, usually the spot is in the middle of the side board that is tapped. Newkirk slaps the corner and post of the top bunk.

Continuity mistake: As Burkhalter talks to Klink, he raises his hand for emphasis on a point. When the camera cuts to a wide shot, you see his arm down by his side, much too quick without a movement to relax the arm.

Continuity mistake: When Hogan is looking around as Klink is showing the gate to Burkhalter. Hogan's hat is up on his head in the usual position. After the camera cuts to Klink, then back to Hogan, the bill of his hat is down shading his eyes.

Revealing mistake: When General Burkhalter has entered the camp and is stopped at the gate, the camera cuts to Hogan and the guys. Above the barracks, you can see the Desilu water tower. (00:15:30)

Audio problem: When Schultz comes into Hogan's office with the pie plate, he starts talking about Klink. As Hogan puts his hand over Schultz's mouth to stop him talking, Schultz is cut off mid-word. The sound he made is heard there, and again at Klink's office, almost like an echo, when everything else said is heard in real time. (00:08:40)

Continuity mistake: After the grenade sets off the box of grenades, and the subsequent explosions demolish the building, Millbarge says "I'll get the horse." Trouble is, throughout all of the gunfire and the explosions, there is no sign of the horse; it would have run off somewhere. When he gets the horse, it's tied up right next to the now demolished building. It would have been killed by the gunfire and/or the explosions.

Deliberate mistake: When the Russian tosses a grenade toward the wood pile when Fitz-Hume and Millbarge are, Fitz-Hume catches it. Trouble is, he is looking up, as if expecting it, when anyone else would be hunkered down. Then when he tosses the grenade back, it's in a manner that would give it a high arc. Instead, it flies straight into the window of the building.

Continuity mistake: After tossing out the last rebel, the ambulance doors are open, but a second later, they're closed without anyone having done it.

Continuity mistake: As the rebels are chasing the ambulance, you see one with a yellow turban come up to the back end and jump on. He apparently missed and was left rolling in the dust. If you look at the edge of the truck, you see the yellow turbaned head poking up, but another guy rolling in the dust. There was only one guy on the horse.

Continuity mistake: As the two drive off in the ambulance, they make a left turn. As they do so, the right rear door swings open. A moment later, it's securely shut again. (00:47:55)

Other mistake: When the container with Millbarge and Fitz-Hume in it falls, it's at a steady rate. When it comes into camera range on the ground, it drops slowly for the first second, then speeds up to crush the building.

Audio problem: In the beginning, the agent from the agent goes up to the door, and knocks four times in a normal rhythm, but you hear three knocks, a pause, then the fourth knock out of time with the action. (00:04:55)

Continuity mistake: When Rosco goes into the trees after the boys run him off the road, the amount of damage to the car is negligible, yet at the end, the car is crushed in on the sides.

Revealing mistake: When watching the film in the beginning, one of the cops pursuing Jessie and Boss rolls over. As he does so, you can see the roll bars in the car, which accounts for the car not crushing.
