Answer: That was what I hope was only a phase of the way things were in California at that time. Many kids who had parents who liked to be modern and be friends more than parents to their kids had them call them by their first names.

I've watched episodes of "Alfred Hitchcock Presents," made in the 1950s-60s, where some characters sometimes referred to parents by first names. Although, the characters were adults, so maybe it was acceptable for full-grown children? I guess it just depends on the specific relationship and what a parent wants to be called.

Answer: This was part of Topanga's weird phase. She specifically mentions in one episode that addressing her father as "Dad" would make it hard to tell him apart from the other dads in the world.

Question: What aquarium was used for the scene with Mumble dancing for the little girl?

Answer: Sea World in Orlando, FL.

Question: In the West Wing, the Beast covers the rose and says "Do you realize what you could have done?" to Belle. What would have happened if she had touched the rose?

Answer: She could have inadvertently knocked more petals off, giving the beast less time to break his curse.

Phixius

Answer: Though it isn't mentioned, another part of the curse could be "if you touch it, it dies." Perhaps that's why it's covered by the bell jar.

Answer: Nope, Jennifer Aniston doesn't have children, it was all prosthetics although it did look really good.

Question: Has any reason ever been given for Gambit's absence from all the X-men movies? He's an interesting and cool character and is a fan favorite, so why leave him out?

Answer: They actually were going to put in a quick scene in X2 that showed Gambit reacting when Jason is targetting all of the mutants, and if you look on the screen of the computer when Mystique is in Stryker's office, figuring out where Magneto is being held, you can see Gambit's real name flash on screen. But why he didn't appear can simply be summed up with "It just didn't happen." They seem to use the mutants that help out the story that they are trying to tell, and Gambit doesn't really stand out in a number of ways. In ability, he's quite similar to Cyclops and in attitude, he's very much like Wolverine.

Question: Right before Kiddo is accepted under Pai Mei, she asks when she will see Bill again. Bill's response to the question is it's the title to his favorite 70s soul song. What song is he refering to?

Answer: It wasn't his response. She says "When will I see you again?" - He is saying that "When Will I See You Again" is the name of his favorite 70's soul song, not that the answer to her question is his favorite song. Confusing at first, I know.

No Pot to Pease In - S9-E9

Question: In this episode we see the television show with the house looking very similar. Is this the real Bundy set redecorated, and when we see the porch and living room, is this the same set? Or was this a custom set specifically for this scene/episode?

Answer: Same set, producers often do this to save money. It can even transcend shows and movies; for example most film companies only have one airplane fuselage set, so the plane in Die Hard 2 is the same as the plane in Planes, Trains and Automobiles is same as the plane in Airplane. Just redecorated a bit.

Question: In the trivia section it says that an extra scene was after the credits. What was it about?

Answer: Kate, Roland, Wat and Chaucer having a farting contest.

Grumpy Scot

Question: I once heard that there's a shell somewhere in the movie that has a profanity written on it. Is this true?

Answer: Yet another Disney urban legend.

Question: The mistakes page says that a fly lands on Wolverine's shoulder. What scene is this?

Answer: This is when he is visiting the Professor's grave.

Question: What is the crazy church or religion that Borat goes to where people are running around the hall and talking in a strange language? What language are they talking in and why do they look so agressive? What's with all the running around with hands in the air?

pierpp

Chosen answer: This was the Mississippi United Pentecostal Church annual camp meeting of 2006. "The power of Jesus" compels many people to sing, dance, etc...as far as the weird language, it's known as "speaking in tongues" and is generally incoherent to the casual observer. The hands in the air is a symbol of someone literally "lifting" themselves and their hearts to Jesus in worship and prayer. It's all simply an expression of their faith and religious beliefs, nothing more.

Question: I cannot find the soundtrack listing and artist's names. What are the titles and artists of the songs? Thank you.

beth jolly

Chosen answer: See http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120241/soundtrack.

Question: Wasn't it suspicious that right after a wrestler in red and blue tights appears in a wrestling match with the name 'Spider-Man', that a superhero in red and blue tights appears in new york with the name 'Spider-Man'?

Answer: The guy who was wrestling decided to go into superheroing. Not suspicious at all. Peter never signed a contract or told anyone his name, so the 3 or 4 people who saw him without a mask would just remember "some kid."

Captain Defenestrator

Also don't forget one of these witnesses died. After him you only have the cop and the robbed guy who knew his face. Old people forget kinda quickly.

Answer: There are several stories behind it. Read about them at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghost_Rider_(comics).

Mortug

Question: I've read that Prince Xizor was thought to be at the pod race. I know that he's probably not there in the movie, but does anyone know if putting him in was ever considered?

Answer: The model of the pod race stands in the long shot used mostly colored Q-tips (cotton buds) as audience members, but tiny Micro-Machines action figures were also used, including the figures of Prince Xizor and Boba Fett. They can't be seen in the film, but you can see a close-up of the model in the "Making of" book.

Sierra1

Answer: According to Wikipedia (so add the usual disclaimer), Frasier is six years older than Niles. Daphne's age is never stated - if we were to make the assumption that she's the same age as the actress who plays her, then Daphne would be three years younger than Niles.

Tailkinker

Wikipedia does say Daphne was born in 1969.

Question: What war is Phoebus returning from?

Answer: That's a good question. France actually fought no wars between the Battle of Castillon in 1451, and the Italian Wars which began in 1494. Seeing as the movie takes place in 1482 it seems strange that Phoebus would have fought in any war, unless he is at least 45 years old.

Question: As in Del's case, would the guards have fabricated a scenario by which to get a death row inmate out long enough to do a practice run like they did?

Answer: The practice run wasn't with a death row inmate. He was incarcerated in another part of the prison.

Phixius

Question: Despite watching this film twice, I'm a little unsure of the significance behind Leonidas' wounding of the Persian King. Is there something I'm missing?

Answer: When Leonidas and Xerxes are talking earlier in the film, Xerxes tells him that no one will remember who Leonidas was. Leonidas tells Xerxes that they will know that free men fought to remain free (or something like that) and that a god-king can bleed. So by wounding Xerxes before he, Leonidas, died, he made good on his taunt.
