Answer: Ross starts with the correct translation for "Thanks for the coffee". Gunther: "Je spreekt Nederlands?" (You speak Dutch?) "Dat is te gek!" (That's great!) "Heb je familie daar?" (Do you have family there?) And "ezel". Literally translated it's a donkey, but we also use for the word jerk or idiot. And finally Gunther says "Jij hebt sex met ezels" (You have sex with donkeys).

Answer: Since there is suppose to be a curse of SNL, they are just joking that Horatio Sanz will be the next one to die, the reason they probably chose him is because two of the deceased were the overweight guys on the show, Belushi and Farley, so they are guessing that since Sanz is overweight he will be the one to die next.

Question: Has it ever been stated in an episode how long it takes Sam to leap from one person to another? It seems instantaneous from the viewer's point of view, but Al is nearly always present at the point where Sam leaps out, and appears quite early in the following episode wearing completely different clothes.

Answer: It's suggested that it can be a substantial period of time, as much as several weeks, although it varies dramatically.

Question: What is the name of song playing as Steve Martin walks into the club to look for Charlene?

Answer: It's called "Way of Life" by Lil' Wayne with Big Tymers and T.Q.

Answer: There doesn't seem to be any reference hiding behind this, just a slip-up by Alex Borstein, the voice of Lois. The reason for this slip-up, according to one fan site, is that originally Bonnie was named Debbie.

Question: In trivia and other places on the web people mention that JD accidentally called the Janitor by his real name, Neil Flynn. If this is true, which episode and when does he do this? It's not in the episode where he watches The Fugitive cos he doesn't mention his name then and he doesn't definitely say he was in the film. Thanks.

Answer: There is no such episode. JD never called the Janitor by his real name.

Guy

Answer: What you're likely thinking of is the confusion that occurred when people realised that Neil Flynn actually WAS in The Fugitive. People checked the credits of the movie, and deduced that that was his real name in the show. It wasn't, Lawrence confirmed the janitor's real name was truly Glen Matthews.

Question: Is it me or is there a reason why madame Giry has a french accent whereas her daughter Meg has an English one? Considering they live in France shouldn't Meg's accent have been french too?

Answer: Mme Giry's accent is not meant to be "French" per se. The various accents used in the movie can be thought of as reflecting of the various accents one would encounter in such a cosmopolitan place as a late-1800s Paris Opera house, with people coming from all over France (yes, there are various French accents like there are various English ones) and Europe. Mme Giry and Meg's accents being different only shows that Mme Giry didn't grown up in the same place where she raised Meg. The same thing happens nowadays with immigrants' families, where parents speak with a different accent than their children's.

Question: Why did that guy shoot his own friend near the end? Why did the two start shooting in the first place anyway?

Answer: This movie was based on the Columbine High School Massacre, and another high school massacre. There's no answer to "why" they did it.

Question: If Maggie wanted to die, and her leg had to be amputated to save her life, why didn't she simply refuse to have the leg amputated?

Answer: As we can see, Maggie stays in the hospital for a very long time. When she got the infected bed sores, she had not yet made up her mind that she wanted to die, so she allowed the amputation. It is not until weeks or months later that she decides not to live like that.

Question: Why do the posters for Mary Jane's play say Emma Rose on them? Her character in The Importance Of Being Earnest, the play, is Cecily.

Answer: The billboard and posters are not advertisements for the play. They are advertisements for a perfume called Emma Rose.

Question: When Hannibal is in his exercise cell talking to Will he speaks a few lines in a different accent. Why does he do this?

Answer: It's not unusual for someone to do this to emphasize a particular point, to be sarcastic, or just show off. Lecture was a master manipulator and loved being the center of attention. By slipping into an accent for a few sentences, he jars the listener's attention.

Question: When they are repairing the cargo ship on Revanna the scientists talk about what happened in the episode Tangent. They talk about the recall device. I don't really understand what it is that O'Neill is accusing the scientists of. Could someone explain it to me please?

Answer: In Tangent, a captured Goa'uld Death Glider was retrofitted into the X-301. Unbeknownst to the SGC, it contained a recall device that would automatically make it return to Apophis home base. Teal'c and O'Neill were testing it when the device activated sending them into deep space where they nearly died. O'Neill wants to make sure the cargo ship doesn't have something similar.

Grumpy Scot

Question: I just wanted to know, in the prima dona song the lyrics say something like "a chorus girl who's gone and slept with her patron". Are they just making an assumption that they slept together or did they actually do it because in this point of the film she had only just come back from the phantom's lair and had only been in the same room as him in one scene.

Answer: They assume Christine spent the night with Raoul. After all, they'd left him in her dressing room right before she disappeared.

Answer: The generally-accepted answer is that the baby starved to death. This information comes from the novel and isn't explicitly stated in the film. In the book, it is due to neglect (starvation or dehydration) because of the parents' heavy drug use.

Answer: They mention that they had been messed up for a few days and didn't realize it. So, they forgot/neglected the baby and it probably starved/dehydrated (note how dirty and messy the crib was).

Answer: In T2 Trainspotting there is a scene where Rent accuses Sick Boy of the baby's death because he was too high to check if his son (the baby) was breathing. So I assume the baby suffocated.

But couldn't the accusation that he did not check if the baby was breathing point to something more like Crib Death aka sids (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) rather then choking?

Answer: The Baby probably died due to sids (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) which is more common in Babys if their mothers are addicted to Heroin.

Question: Why was the poster of Queen Amidala (shown as Novalee runs out of Wal-Mart) supposed to be taken out of the movie?

Answer: Because Natalie Portman played Queen Amidala, and it would have detracted from the reality of "Where the Heart Is" to see the leading lady in costume for another of her films.

Krista

Question: In one of the last scenes, when Kyle and her daughter hide in a little compartment and survive the explosion, somebody who answered another question in this page said it was the hold of the plane, but I thought it was the black box when I saw it. So which one was it? And is it possible for a person to fit in the black box of a plane?

Answer: No, it's not possible. The 'black box' (which actually isn't black, but is instead brightly coloured to make it easier to find) is a data recorder, packed with all the attendant electronics required for that task; it's far too small for anybody to fit into.
